  1. Hi guys, Just a quick question, generally how many transplants can the average person undergo? I heard the average is around 4, depending on the scalp laxity.

  3. Hi guys, I'm just 3 days out having my second procedure of 900 FU for both temples areas and my mid scalp region. Everything went well and I am please so far. My concern is this, I want to make sure that shock loss is kept to a minimum. My daily routine is Proscar and MSN. I gave up Rogaine about 6 months ago due to the itching and flaking that I got from it. I plan to go back on Rogaine for a couple of months to hopefully help stabalize any shock loss. I wanted to know whether their is anything else that you guys could recommend that would maybe help is this department? My first procedure I got a bit of loss in the donor and recipient area and I'm guessing I would get a bit more. Thanks for your help and comments.

  5. Hi ya, Thanks for the help guys. Yeah it does seem like a small procedure, but I'm not that bald yet. I have no loss in the crown at all, it's just my temples and now my mid scalp is starting to thin. The Dr doesn't want to over do the mid scalp yet so as not to disrupt the existing hair. I reckon I will need about 4-5 procedures over time. I just don't want to be bald until I get it that's all. I will check out these exercises and give them a try.
  6. Hi ya, I am going for my 2nd hair transplant on the 23 November 04. It will be around 750 grafts. I was wondering how many transplants can someone go for before their scalp can't take anymore stretching? I worry that my scar will get bigger and want to know what the experiences of those who have had numerous hair transplants. What can be done to prevent stretching as well? Thanks for your help.

  8. Hey mate, Yeah I had 750FU in the temple areas. I was only a Norwood 2 going on 3. I am losing my hair rapidly so as to try and maintain a constant look I'm getting each part done at a time when it goes bald. I may not need one in July yet, that's why she will advise in May to see if it's needed. As I don't want to kill the existing hair already there.
  9. I forgot to tell you about the minoxidil, I started using about 10-14 days post op once all the scabs had fallen away. Since then no irritation has occured from the minoxidil. C ya.
  10. Hey dude, Sorry I don't have any photos from it, I think there are a few at her clinic. I also don't have the equipment to scan them on here yet. The donor was stiched up with a fine stitch and this was taken out by a nurse two weeks post op. I can hardly see a scar unlease I look real hard for it, my redness has faded away real well. The new growth coming through is great, it looks exactly the same as my normal existing hair with the same direction and style. As this was my first HT I was anxious and never though it would start to grow. I'm at the 6 month mark now and I should know the full cosmetic result in a couple of months. I've got a review in May to hopefully go for my next procedure in July, hopefully I will be able to post some pictures on this website then. If you want to ask more just let me know.
  11. Hi mate, I'm from Australia and I had a transplant done by Dr Martinick in September last year. She is very professional and there is no bullcrap about her. My hair is growing in nicely and I've still got a few months to go. Good luck and don't worry.
  12. Hi there, I've had 750Fu on both my temples and I'm almost at the six month mark. It's coming through alright, just wondering if it starts to boom in the next month or so? I guess I'm just a impatient sucker, but any more advice would help. Cheers
  13. Thanks for the advice, I guess I'm just impatient. The waiting game suxs.
  14. Hi guys, I just need a little further advice, I posted about 6 weeks ago about my 750 fu transplant. I'm now seeing that it certainly seems thicker than at the 4 month mark. I wanted to know if it will continue to thicken and come through and how long do I need to wait before I get to see the full results. I've heard it takes around the 7 month mark before you know. Catch ya soon guys. C ya.
