This way there’s no gap. In many ways, Zarev is ahead of his time. A lot of doctors shy away from this to be safe, but I don’t agree. The final result looks better with the gaps being filled. In my case, the hair below the border has always been my strongest and healthiest hair. It’s been 10 years since my first HT and the hair is still the strongest and thickest. Makes me worry about the gap I have on my situation at the back. I am trying to analyze up close to compare exactly mine to this case. It seems like on me, Eugenix filled in pretty much down to the bottom of the "bald" area but did not harvest the upper 1 cm of donor hair on the border. Instagram: ethanlculver Eugenix (Drs. But I do believe it’s a good discussion. Let me know if you don’t want it on your thread. @general-etwan In your case, it looks like Eugenix shaved down to the thinning area. They didn’t harvest from the upper temporal region, most likely because it didn’t have the best hair. Looks like fine hair better suited for the hairline. They grafted the thickest most robust area. Yeah, I didn't want to just suddenly derail the excellent thread here with a picture, so figured let Melvin do it first! lol In all seriousness, yeah, hopefully he doesn't mind. Will try to be brief with this; just thought it could be useful comparison. Here's a better pic of my crown after my surgery. I feel like Zarev would have harvested another cm up in the back and just gone a little lower with the implantation. Dr. Sethi explained to me that his vision is he didn't want to implant lower because of risk of causing damage to the remaining hair. But I feel like that small ring of white was pretty much already bald, and Zarev probably would have gone right up to the boundary of dark donor hair starting. Oh well, for me it's a constant analysis of how I can maximize my situation. Instagram: ethanlculver Eugenix (Drs. Regular Member MC117 Posted November 1, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted November 1, 2023 There is also a possibility that eugenix thinks you'll lose that side hump in the coming years so nothing to harvest from an already weak area. Even in mtb case the really top of humps have been untouched.

Regular Member mtb Posted November 1, 2023 Author Regular Member Share Posted November 1, 2023 @Melvin- Admin It’s all good. Whatever helps @general-etwan and the community. Dr Sethi and Dr Zarev may have different thought on what the end pattern of your baldness will be. Is Dr Sethi open to making changes as you request? @Melvin- Admin can you please change the name of this thread? “Dr Zarev 11,941 grafts. 1st procedure 8,321, 2nd procedure 3,620.”
Regular Member mtb Posted November 5, 2023 Author Regular Member Share Posted November 5, 2023 10 days post op donor and real life pics. No pain almost at all the whole time except when I’d accidentally bump my head. I’ve completed all meds and no longer need to use the antibacterial soap. Starting his minox and .1 mg topical fin today. Swelling was much less than first procedure and gone after 5/6 days. Will post Dr Zarev’s office pics when he sends. I’m guessing 4-5 months until everything he implanted comes through really strong, based off of first procedure.

Valued Contributor Berba11 Posted November 5, 2023 Valued Contributor Share Posted November 5, 2023 In another week the donor area will probably look completely untouched despite 12K grafts extracted. Dr Z's extractions are insane.
Senior Member general-etwan Posted November 6, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted November 6, 2023 Absolutely amazing. This uniform extraction strategy looks so clean. I think the length you have your hair at right now is really good too. I know I recently got a shorter cut (my barber insisted) but I kind of regret it as I think we need to have our hair the length you do right now and longer to maximize the looks. Regular Member mtb Posted November 11, 2023 Author Regular Member Share Posted November 11, 2023 Dr Zarev sent me the photos he took. He sent 470 photos. Lol. I’ll just post a few here in case any cares to see. They are pre op, pre op shaved, and post op with freshly washed scalp. I did have folliculitis with two grafts next to each other. It resolved after a few days with warm compress, rolling with q-tip, and a topical antibiotic 8 4

Regular Member jakos Posted November 14, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted November 14, 2023 happy for you man! it's crazy how little scarring Zarev inflicts to the donor area. i think this is what distinguishes him from the rest, due to that vacuum technology utilized. if his extractions left as significant scars as the rest of the industry, i believe he wouldn't be able to extract without damage from conventionally not so safe areas.
