  1. Doc says 2,500 left for future balding. That'll be when my parietal/lateral humps bald as well as in case my crown goes a bit lower. I don't remember very well but I think he said after the 2,500 that 60% of my donor would have been used at that point. Don't quote me, I wasn't taking notes during the second post op convo. lol
  2. Hopefully the resolution is okay on this. Looks good on iPhone but terrible on WhatsApp. Nearly 6 months from second procedure. Should get a bit more thickness in the next 3 months. IMG_0758.mov
  3. Yeah, I never felt like I got a good enough explanation of why FUT then FUE yield more grafts. I can see the argument from a coverage and planning standpoint but once grafts are moved they're moved. I've had 12k grafts moved FUE and no one can tell when looking at my donor area. Only I can tell when I've slept on it weird or something. However, I did go the the best FUE-scalp hair-only surgeon in the world. He's the only one I can recommend for that number of grafts. I'm sure I could still get an FUT and it would be covered just fine, not that I'll ever need to.
  4. @OliverAtom Seems to be going great. Will post 6 month update photos in two weeks.
  5. Please read this entire thread and other Zarev threads as your question has been addressed many times. Short answer: He plans better than anyone, he uses smaller punches than anyone, he has handheld technology that is better than anyone, he has planning software that is unique that he built, and he takes from a larger area of the donor than most.
  6. Thanks. Yeah, I'm thinking the middle of the scalp will fill in a bit more in the next three months. Glad I was able to get into Dr. Zarev when I did.
  7. @hairman22 do you mean will the hairline get thicker? Maybe a little. I’m not sure. Undetectable to anyone in person.
  8. 5 months from second procedure. 14 months from first procedure. Dry and slicked back w product.
  9. I don't really know. He talked about it a little when I was there but I don't remember much of what he said. I didn't really snoop around the surgical suite either. I thought if he wants to keep it secret I shouldn't pry. What I cared most about was the outcome.
  10. @asterix0 Here is the product. I get maybe a small grape-sized glob on my finger then you’re meant to rub it between the tips of your fingers quickly to make it warm and then start combing it through the tops of the hair with my fingers. The product works well for how curly and long and crazy the hair is getting. It holds perfectly all day.
  11. @mr_peanutbutter @Hair4DaysYou’re right, it’s looking a lot better styled. I used Kevin.Murphy Free.Hold Medium Hold Styling paste. What are the rest of you using to style post-transplant?
  12. @Fox243 I just mean in general. No idea when Zarev will start training. But other docs seeing it is possible will start trying to replicate it. It will be several years off but someone will crack the code. @Hair4Days I haven’t been using any product for 7 months. I don’t know what to do with it now that it’s curly. Need to cut it and get some product in it. I’m sure it will look much better.
  13. Wild. Coming along nicely. Happy for you.
  14. Bunch of hairline shots: in the gym, restroom in the gym, outside in the shade, outside w direct sunlight. Time to cut and style with product.
