How much time passed before the first and second HT?

Just wondering why many of the grafts seem to have fallen out before the second intervention...? It seems the frontal third became much more sparse compared to when he first had the HT, why do you think that is? Did he not take medication?

I don't think that's the case. He had a lot more hair placed along the hairline, possibly with the expectation that a 2nd surgery would be done to fill in the rest. He also had a small amount of native hair along the hairline that may have helped a bit as well. Compare the two photos below. The first one is post op from surgery #1 and the 2nd is pre op before surgery #2.
