Joe Buck is an acclaimed sportscaster known for his work as the lead announcer for both baseball and football for Fox Sports. The 52-year-old is also well-known for the changes in his hairline thanks to multiple hair transplants over the years. While many patients only have one hair transplant surgery to get the results they desire, Joe has undergone multiple procedures in the past including one that impacted his ability to speak. Joe Buck recently made the decision to undergo another hair transplant using the services of Dr. Mohebi and our Los Angeles hair transplant team.

Our staff has put together a behind the scenes video spotlighting Joe Buck’s latest procedure. Dr. Mohebi also explains why older hair transplant techniques, such as the ones Joe had in the past, led to complications with patients and why they are not used by medical professionals anymore.

This informative video takes patients inside our Los Angeles surgical center for a look at how Joe’s hair transplant surgery is performed. The patient is also a big part of the video as Joe shares his thoughts about the surgery before, during and after the procedure.

Stay tuned for updates as Joe's results start to come in over the following months, and feel free to ask any questions below about this procedure, and Dr. Mohebi and I will be sure to answer.

Yeah, he had a really rough procedure last time and was very vocal and transparent about it in the media. He was put under general anesthesia for the procedure and ended up with a paralyzed vocal cord and lost his voice for nearly a year. So this time was a much better experience, to say the least.

I hope he’ll share that with the media. I remember what he said really stigmatized hair transplants for the worse. Hopefully he can share the excellent care he received at PMH.

Great video and insight! Cannot wait to see the final results. Does Joe Buck take any medication like Finasteride or Minoxidil? 9 transplants is a lot and I am wondering if he is on any meds to reduce the hair loss. I know meds can only do so much, but I feel like it should have helped in some capacity if he was on them.

It's been public knowledge for some time that Joe Buck has had multiple HT's.  I've always thought his hairline looked way too straight on TV, but it looks surprisingly sparse up front in this pre-op vid.  He must have been caking on the concealer for the cameras.  Hope it turns out well for him this time, sounds like he's been through the ringer.

My point is, with so many transplants his hair should be better than that. I mean, @mustang has had about that many and he has one of the best heads of hair on the forum!

Based on his much publicized experience, he went to a quack. @mustang went to quality doctors.

Ya'll seriously?  Joe Buck has fine very straight hair & is MUCH older than Mustang.  We don't know Mustang's ethnicity nor his hair diameter & I assume that Mustang w/his 10K transplants vs Joe Buck w/his 9 procedures - well, Mustang probably has at least 4K more transplanted hair than Buck.

That written, we all work w/what we have and try our best as we get older.  Also, Mustang is putting alot of body hair to replace the FUE's he is taking out.  Very aggressive but well planned for maximum yield and efficiency over time.

Buck being put under general anesthesia the last procedure tells me that his 8 previous procedures were not w/top-notch surgeons as Melvin wrote.

Didn't know about Buck getting another procedure so it will be interesting to see his hair come late December & Jan '22 for NFL playoffs.

Watching the game tonight and noticed that Buck's hair is filling in up front.  Looking better now than it ever has.  👍
