Regular Member Give me hair123 Posted March 3, 2021 Regular Member Share Posted March 3, 2021 (edited) Hi Everyone, First time poster, Started losing hair at around age 22, by age 24, became more significant but could easily comb it in ways that no one would notice, age 25 accelerated, loss of hair volume, hairline slightly receded, by age 26, hairline totally gone and was unable to cover up the hairloss anymore so took the plunge. Started Fin about 6 mon ago, take usually 4-5 times a week of 1.25mg Im a local, had a consultation in september, decided to book in december I think, and had the procedure a couple days ago. When I sent it my photos, they said my consultation would be for surgery under Dr. Wong, had my consult with him, He said FUT would better serve me. I like to wear my hair short, but a #3 clipper seems to be what conceals most scars. so I was okay with that Total break down below, I think my density was average to above average, Dr. Wong remarked during the surgery, I had great density, and great blood supply, and the results would be great so heres hoping to that LOL. The first few photos are pre consult, the ones with the mask are on the consult..could tell i lost more hair in the meantime. However started fin there after, dont really notice much effect on frontal zone, but Dr. Wong remarked it worked well in the crown. Dont really have photos pre-procedure that I took but ill try and find some 1 H: 613 2 H: 2639 3-4 H: 1523 Totaling 4775 grafts I have a few questions - how long does it take for your hair to get back to preprocedure levels?, . 2 - how long does the pain last, 3. when did you feel like your sleep returned to normal. 4. when does the pain and swelling peak, 5. is the graft breakdown high density then? Also I was surprised that they said no heavy wieghtlifting for 6 months, guess cardio it will be lol, I know 4 weeks no sports, but the heavy wieghtlifting was suprising. Also in the front on picture with the grey-black my forehead looks more swollen as the saline is already working its way done Edited March 3, 2021 by Give me hair123 Adding more content
Administrators Melvin- Admin Posted March 3, 2021 Administrators Share Posted March 3, 2021 Great write up, the work looks excellent and Dr. Wong is a true pioneer. It takes a few months for your hair to get to baseline. As for the pain, it depends on the individual, for some it’s a day or two, but others may need to take ibuprofen for a few weeks. Sleeping normal takes at least 10 days. You don’t want to crush the grafts, or the discomfort in the donor may prevent you from sleeping normally. Small price to pay for having hair. For me swelling peaked the second and third day. You have more triples and quads than you do singles. Hell yea that’s high density. You’ve got approximately 10,500 hairs transplanted. The difference is going to be HUGE! 3 I’m a paid admin for Hair Transplant Network. I do not receive any compensation from any clinic. My comments are not medical advice. Senior Member hairlossPA Posted March 4, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted March 4, 2021 1. how long does it take for your hair to get back to preprocedure levels? took me 3 months for my hair to return to normal 2 - how long does the pain last about 2-3 weeks 3. when did you feel like your sleep returned to normal i'd say I'm still not back to normal, just because my head is still sore/numb 4 months after which is expected and normal 4. when does the pain and swelling peak pain was gone very soon. I honestly only took 1 pain killer after the procedure. Swelling was gone in a week 5. is the graft breakdown high density then? definitely a good hair/graft ratio. congrats

You cant really see it because of my hair, but will add a picture in a bit Yeah he said I had good laxity, when intially had my consultation he said it was good, can do scalp excercises for the back of the had if I want too... I never ended up doing them. At the consultation his estimate was somewhere from 4500-5000, and we got 4775, I'd say he's pretty good

Lay down under an angle to make the gravity pull the water down and out of the eye zone. The doctor can prescribe some steroid medications to make the process faster but other than that let the gravity do the job. My eye was shut for a day and the face swollen for 5 days. But first of all, talk to the clinic.
