Hi all,

Sorry I haven't posted an update in a while, just been extremely busy. Anyhow see my latest photos taken outside in the lovely weather we have at the moment. The hair is quite short at the moment so my photos in a months time will give a better representation. One side is weaker than the other but overall I am really happy with how it turned out. 20220326_115208.thumb.jpg.a33b4c526ffd4cca3999466dc993ea3d.jpg20220326_115319.thumb.jpg.348ae0d9bf207a34692a4d6e2d275434.jpg20220326_115355.thumb.jpg.42df52143e580c17154186f6795b11da.jpg20220326_115415.thumb.jpg.75f8b21b1d71a7cb937b6bbb24934792.jpg

Yes another update would be great. Did you grow your hair out?

Hi all,

Sorry for the delay, 11 months now since the 2nd op. Hair is indeed longer. The left side remains weaker but I do notice some smaller hairs coming through. I have stopped using Minoxidil foam and went on the oral Monoxidil almost a month ago after meeting with Dr Bisanga. We'll see how it progresses over the next 5 months before seeing if I need a touch up there. 20220517_203938.thumb.jpg.370d3c23b0fd6821a2ae1afd11be0cdf.jpg20220517_203941.thumb.jpg.902736150fa66b59476d453a47c37dc4.jpg20220517_203945.thumb.jpg.d280ae79cc4901a5044197b3f4bd2dbc.jpg

It looks natural. Which is always better than a thick fall of pluggy hair you might of ended up with in some other hair mill

If I were you, I would keep the cut some of the thickness on the sides, making the top look even stronger

Good luck sir

Insane transformation given the graft count. Looks amazing next to the before photo.

TBH, on the point about a weaker side, 4000 or even 6,000 grafts given that you were nearly slick bald were never going to get 100% coverage -- that said, I think one more pass of 2,000 and you're golden and won't even look like you're thinning at all. Either way, you look great and can totally pull off the hair you have now.

Any sense of # of grafts remaining?

Cheers!

Thank you. I recall Dr B saying 1000 beard grafts still being available from my beard straight after the op but when I visited recently he was pleasantly surprised about the condition of my beard donor, I hadn't shaved in 3 days so it could be could be closer to 1500 available there. I also have an abundance of chest hairs available, these are dead straight and closer in diameter to my scalp hairs than the beard ones. I should be good for a touch up if needed.

I know the left side is weaker but I've been thinking did I have a shed when changing over from topical to oral Min which showed up on the last photos. I'll post more photos next week which will be the 12 month mark. BTW I am really happy with how all this turned out for me, it has been a game changer for me, I am so much happier and confident.

Thanks all for the comments, I hope my journey is useful to folks thinking about undergoing such a procedure.

It looks great! Have you simply tried combing over the right side to the left side?

Thanks, naturally it more wants to go left to right if that makes sense, also I generally keep it short enough so not too much can be done with it.

Photos today, just at the 13 month stage. I also switched over to oral Min almost 3 months ago so it will be interesting to see if that starts to make a difference soon.

Looks absolutely incredible, seriously with short hair and in harsh lighting.

I just want to say thank you very much for your post and sharing all this information / photos. I am even more happy because we often see patients 6 months - 1yr photos, but not always after the 1 year mark. I know you had two procedures but seeing the changes and growth past the 12mth mark, really gives me hope and inspiration. Especially since I hope to be going to Dr Bisanga in March. Your results look phenomenal!!!
COngratulations, thank you and happy growing.

Can you tell me if you think the MSM/Biotin made any difference?
