Senior Member Tj287 Posted August 11, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted August 11, 2016 They will be! I started noticing some action at 2 months - stubbly, very few hairs, then soft hair that made the area feel like satin, then more small hairs popping up week by week. My hair started off as nearly impossible to see - benefits of blonde hair. The beginnings of my hairline only showed up if I took a picture with flash - you're an earlier grower than me. Looking great! I'm finding it very hard not to obsess over my hair at the moment. I find myself looking for new hair in the mirror every day, taking pictures from various angles and in different lighting etc. Waiting is tough!! Regular Member N0Air Posted September 7, 2016 Author Regular Member Share Posted September 7, 2016 Three Month Update It's a really exciting time right now! When I look into the mirror each day, I see more and more hair! I continue my daily regimen (1mg fin, minox) and all appears to be going well. If you look at the photos, you'll notice I've developed a couple pimples. I was able to drain them and the redness is (thankfully) going away. Otherwise, I'm really happy by the amount of early growth! Next update will be 4 months. Cheers, N0

Regular Member N0Air Posted October 9, 2016 Author Regular Member Share Posted October 9, 2016 4 Month Update There's a lot to be excited about right now! Growth happening day by day, but it's difficult not to get too anxious. For everyone else out there, I think it's a good idea to take pictures every other week. At the very least, you'll be able to notice the differences as you progress and won't get caught up by what you think are "weak spots."

Senior Member aWidowsPeek Posted October 11, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted October 11, 2016 N0Air so it took Hasson 17 hours to do a fue surgery that most doctors do in less than 8? Wow. I guess he's still barely doing fue? How much did this cost you? Looks great, happy growing.
Regular Member N0Air Posted October 11, 2016 Author Regular Member Share Posted October 11, 2016 As you can imagine, the most cumbersome part of the process was extraction. With manual punch this took up most of the time (with the two technicians rotating back and forth every couple hours). For me, part of the reason I went with Hasson was due to the care they take with extractions. I experienced no shock loss and my donor scarring looks great for only 4 months. Operation was on the pricey side (you can see their pricing guide on the H&W website), but I think it's worth my peace of mind.

Senior Member hsrp10 Posted October 15, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted October 15, 2016 Looks really good to me, grow well and heal well. Things have really come a long way when Hasson is doing FUE now, guess it gives all of us more options as consumers which is a win-win situation. Regular Member N0Air Posted November 11, 2016 Author Regular Member Share Posted November 11, 2016 It's been really busy lately, but I've been able to take a few photos for everyone to see how things are going 5 months after my FUE operation with Dr. Hasson. My left side is a little thinner than my right, but both seem to be filling in nicely so I'm not very worried. I can't speak highly enough about the hairline design Dr. Hasson gave me. While it attempts to restore my hairline, it's relatively mature and fits my face well. Cheers, N0

The difference in density between sides will resolve itself - i was the same. This result is just going to get better and better, trust me On another note it's interesting to see how much clearer the textural differences are to see between existing and transplanted when you've got (such thick) dark hair. Once again, looking great My FUT with Dr Hasson in May 16: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/184110-dr-hasson-fut-3-898-grafts-16-05-16-a.html

Senior Member home1212 Posted November 12, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted November 12, 2016 that is one "sick" result at only 5 months, its on track to looking absolutely stunning at full maturity, congrats! Senior Member trashpanda Posted November 13, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted November 13, 2016 N0air, everything looks great. I'm loving the updates and seeing how well you are progressing. My recipient area looks similar to yours at 3 months right now. Hopefully this means I'm on the same track as you to a great result. Looking forward to your future updates! Regular Member N0Air Posted December 10, 2016 Author Regular Member Share Posted December 10, 2016 I'm a few days late on posting my 6 month update, sorry guys! At this stage, it looks like things are still filling in. My left side remains a bit thinner than my right (but perhaps it is more likely that my right side is softening faster). This might sound silly, but it's cool to step out of the shower with my hair slicked back and see a definitive hairline (with no daylight in between). I had also been worried that perhaps Dr. Hasson made my temples too pointed, but I can see now how (when dry) the hairline perfectly flows and looks mature (without being "boxy"). Next update: Month 7. Cheers, N0

Regular Member N0Air Posted February 13, 2017 Author Regular Member Share Posted February 13, 2017 Hey all, Life has been very hectic as I've relocated to LA, which explains why I didn't upload any 7 month photos. Now in month 8, the finished product is only months away and I couldn't be happier. Not only that, I get a lot of compliments from girls about my hair style and overall thickness. Do you plan on discontinuing rogaine? My transplant story: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/185689-2623-graft-fue-dr-hasson.html I'm starting to use it less frequently than before (at this point I'm only using it in the morning). After the operation, I began using it on my temple points and I can definitely see an improvement in the native hair caliber. But either way, I'm definitely going to keep using finasteride. Good luck with the growing process yourself. It takes time, but you'll soon see the results!
Regular Member JRCore17 Posted February 17, 2017 Regular Member Share Posted February 17, 2017 A wonderful and very dense result! Regular Member N0Air Posted April 11, 2017 Author Regular Member Share Posted April 11, 2017 Just in time for a new haircut, I thought I'd give an update on my growth status. The Good: Having a hairline; being able to cut my hair close on the sides without anyone noticing scarring; transplanted follicles are continuing to soften. The Bad: Developing hair greed...maybe I wish my hairline was slightly more rounded at the edges; My left side is just a little weaker than my right side, but I don't think people notice unless they're 6 inches away from my scalp. The Ugly: Considering a 500 graft touch up to make it look perfect (there's a very small gap where transplanted hairs meet the sides of my head, as well as 250 or so for my left side). This is probably a five year plan though, because I don't want to use unnecessary grafts. In all, I couldn't be happier with the decision I've made. Yes, it was costly to go with a North American based doctor. But everyone I met from H&W has made the process both exciting and enjoyable.
