Senior Member 1978matt Posted January 20, 2014 Author Senior Member Share Posted January 20, 2014 I've noticed the comments I've been getting seem to fall into a few categories: 1)Persons I have not seen for a year – no comment. 2)Family I see every 8 weeks – “Who cut your hair this time? They did a much better job!” 3)Colleagues I work closely with – no comment. 4)Persons I have not seen for 3-4 months – “You look so different with that new haircut!” 5)Persons I typically see once a fortnight – “Oh you’re growing your hair back (you shaved it off a few months ago). Have you dyed your hair?!” 6)Colleagues I do not regularly converse with but see once a week – a few confused looks. 7)Bald colleagues I see once or twice a week – “What did you do to get your hair back?” With regards to the latter I ended up telling one guy because he knew a bit about transplants. Another guy asked if I had been taking ‘natural stuff’ to make it grow back. 4,312 FUT grafts (7,676 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2013 1,145 FUE grafts (3,152 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2018 763 FUE grafts (2,094 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - January 2020 Proscar 1.25mg every 3rd day
Senior Member Nick153452 Posted January 20, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted January 20, 2014 . I saw my old roommates from 2010-11 school year and they were befuddled as to my hair. That's actually the first thing they said to me when they saw me. It's a good feeling, isn't it? Senior Member chrisdav Posted February 22, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted February 22, 2014 1978Matt, People who have seen you in the past before you had surgery and don't know you have had it must think "WTF is going on". Your transformation is phenomenal at 6 months. 2 poor unsatisfactory hair transplants performed in the UK. Your transformation is phenomenal at 6 months. Thanks mate. Yeah, I saw one guy for a meeting at work I had not seen for 18 months. He said as I greeted him in reception: "Matt...in all the years I've known you you always had shorter hair and now you have grown it.." Haha, not quite. Senior Member OtherSyde Posted February 23, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted February 23, 2014 Yeah, yours is a result everyone hopes for! More and more people have to be noticing your radical transformation... Please continue to entertain us with stories of comedy and irony as people stammer and stumble in their awkward and misinformed attempts to explain your shift in appearance, drawing conclusions that are sometimes laughably wrong, and sometimes serendipitously close to the truth without even realizing it! Having that effect on people has to be so gratifying. Blog: Dr. Gabel Thrice (2010, 2013, 2016)
