Senior Member MAGNUMpi Posted June 8, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted June 8, 2012 Hi all, Who do you think are the best FUE doctors in the world in 2012? I heard that Feller isn't doing them anymore. Is that true? I'm looking for density and natural hairlines.... What do you think? M.
Senior Member 1978matt Posted June 8, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted June 8, 2012 Personally I think you have to sub divide this into 2 categories: 1)Those that do a maximum of circa 1,500 grafts FUE; and 2)Those who do larger sessions, i.e. 3000-4000. For example, I don't think I've ever seen a 2000+ FUE-only from Feller. 4,312 FUT grafts (7,676 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2013 1,145 FUE grafts (3,152 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2018 763 FUE grafts (2,094 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - January 2020 Proscar 1.25mg every 3rd day

Regular Member alexdelarge Posted June 9, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted June 9, 2012 Yes, Dr. Rahal is one of the very best. I recently had a strip procedure with him, but his FUE is second to none. Feller and Rahal are at the very top IMO.

Senior Member MAGNUMpi Posted June 9, 2012 Author Senior Member Share Posted June 9, 2012 Thanks guys. Spex sorry that you'll be away for a bit, we all love your great posts. Glad to hear that feller still does FUE. (sorry about that) He seems to be one of the best. I read that in a post somewhere... I'm happy that it was incorrect. Senior Member chrisdav Posted June 9, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted June 9, 2012 Magnum, have a look through all the doctors recommended on here and read through all the major forums. Take your time to research. All the doctors listed above are very good for fue. I would also look at Feriduni,Devroye and Bisanga as well. 2 poor unsatisfactory hair transplants performed in the UK. Based on vast research and meeting patients, I travelled to see Dr Feller in New York to get repaired.
Senior Member irishsailor Posted June 9, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted June 9, 2012 Dont think you can go wrong with any of the names mentioned. Senior Member HARIRI Posted June 9, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted June 9, 2012 (edited) Most important thing to consider is the FUE experience of the HT doctor. Feller has 10 years experience, Feriduni has 8 years experience and Bisanga too. I wouldnt be comfortable to have a FUE large session with any doctor that has less than 5 years experience. So make sure of the experience issue MAGNUMPI. Also the price issue, make sure that you are not over priced. The average price of FUE graft is $8, anything above that is too much in my opinion. IMHO when it comes to FUE I always favor Europe than North America as they have many great solid FUE surgeons such as Jose Lorenzo, Bisanga, Feriduni and Mwamba (Pure manual punch state of the art work). Senior Member chrisdav Posted June 10, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted June 10, 2012 (edited) I wouldn't agree on ranking surgeons as there isn't a best one but there are a pool of surgeons who put out consistent good to high levels of work which is documented online, demonstrating that they cater for all types of people with different levels of baldness. Senior Member Blake Bloxham Posted June 13, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted June 13, 2012 Sum guy, Dr. Rahal is an excellent FUE surgeon, and I highly recommend consulting with him. However, like others may have stated, with your unique hair loss pattern, I would approach hair transplantation cautiously. Make sure you're only consulting with skilled, ethical physicians, because I wouldn't want to see someone quickly rush you into a procedure if the results will (knowingly be) sub par. Have you ever had your hair loss evaluated by a Dermatologist? Considering/taking any medications alongside the hypothetical FUE procedure? Senior Member HARIRI Posted June 14, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted June 14, 2012 My FUE choices would be the following:- 1) Dr. Jose Lorenzo (Spain) 2) Dr. Feller (USA) 3) Dr. Bisanga (Belgium) These are my personal FUE top choices in order when it comes to quality only based on posted results and lighting (less flash). The great thing with Lorenzo is that all of his results are in HD videos. He is like H&W FUE version. Its a very confident step in my opinion. Seconded. And the earlier comment that FUE clinics could be divided into two a) those that do little boutique jobs (strip booster) and those that choose to make FUE their #1 method. Some docs do FUE but first priority in the consultation room is to turn the clock back and get the guy into a strip frame of mind. Of course, they say, "case by case" afterwards. Senior Member HARIRI Posted June 16, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted June 16, 2012 Scar 5 I do agree. Thats why If I want to do FUE in the future, I would choose a doctor who really believes in it and use it without any fear or worries (Type 2). For example Dr. Lorenzo uses FUE exclusively which means that he practices it everyday. Senior Member CaddyTad77 Posted September 10, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted September 10, 2013 I am torn between strip and FUE. I know the pro's and con's of both. Need 3000 grafts and I can only afford 1 hair transplant so I want to get the most coverage since I will never be able to afford to have another one again. Any help? Senior Member irishsailor Posted September 10, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted September 10, 2013 FUT/strip is barbaric. What a ridiculous statement! The other week you were asking advice and now here you stand subject matter expert. There are oro's and cons to both strip and fue, but Jesus half you lot see it as a fight between good and evil. Strip isn't barbaric it's still a good method but even in the best of hands it can go wrong. But so can fue.
