  1. Dr Konior gets great results, and his work looks so clean, because he personally places all the grafts and really is in the room from the time the procedure starts, until it ends. Tom is very helpful and I'm sure if you give him a call he will address any questions you have. And Dr Konior personally will get back to you if you email him. And he does his own consultations, but first he has to see pictures and come up with a plan. Dr Konior sometimes spends over an hour with a prospective patient but to begin the process either you go to his office and Tom will take pics of your head from all angles, or email the pics. But I do know Dr Konior does in depth consultations. I would give them another chance as you will not find many surgeons who are involved in all aspects of the procedure. Just take a look at some of his before and after pics, how the grafts are so clean and tidy post-op. He is one of the top hair transplant surgeons in the world and is a busy man as he also teaches med students the latest techniques in donor closure as he also is on the faculty of Loyola Hospital which is considered one of the top Medical Schools in the Country.
  2. Dr Lorenzo is like James Joyce at his typewriter, or John Coltrane blowing his horn.
  3. How much would 2500 grafts be if I went to Dr Lorenzo in London in US Dollars....18,000 Us Dollars? I hope its not 18,000 pounds Does anybody know? Thanks
  4. Hasson and Wong are a top notch clinic. I would guess his chances at achieving a desirable result were increased because of that. Maybe Hasson and Wong could help out the twins on the Canucks...their hairlines are receding as fast as the chances of them ever winning a Stanley Cup with the Chicago Blackhawks around After Patrick Kane dismantled the Canucks with his magic display of stick handling - I think I saw Roberto's jock strap laying in the crease- he had fun with the hotties in a limo who most likely were Canuck fans. He took the Cup, and the girls. CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS are going to win the cup again! GO HAWKS In all seriousness I really think he grew hair and is enjoying life. No offense to Jotronic, he is almost myth like in the world of hair transplantation and a great guest of THE BALD TRUTH with SPENCER KOBREN, but if HW could give him a full head of hair the odds are pretty good that they please a majority, if not all of the people that come to them. They specialize in repair cases and that is always a plus. Jotronic went from being almost completely bald to having a full head of hair and a great hairline.
  5. We have the exact same thinning. I achieve a full head of hair with Toppik but I do not want to use it anymore. When I play hockey or go rollerblading it runs down my face.
  6. Oh I thought it was a new topic....I clicked on todays post or new post and this came up. And I think my tone was respectable. It's not right to make fun of somebody just because they are nervous or scared. If it is an old post then I agree, why dig up old graves. But I stand by what I said. The New York Times wrote a very good article a few weeks ago about reading and empathy. Maybe if more people read for pleasure they would not be so ignorant and make childish comments concerning this members heartfelt fear and anguish. And this topic came up under new posts today. Check and you will see who posted on this before me. Maybe that person should have started a new thread.
  7. Your really a mature guy. Nice empathy pal, really nice.
  8. Your have a killer head of hair and your hairline is low and not yet at the stages of being a fully mature hairline. Like Taco said enjoy that great head of hair and do not jump into getting a hair transplant yet. Research, Research, Research.
  9. Thanks Mick for posting the results of Dr Lorenzo now that he is with Farjo. Really, good stuff.
  10. Dr Lorenzo is the best FUE surgeon in the world. His youtube videos really show how talented he is
  11. I have outrageously good donor density, but a very tight scalp, so FUE is the best route for me. FUT would be a risk for a person with a overly tight scalp. The best FUE results are equal to the best FUT results. I'd rather not go to another consult and be told that my scar " Will be pencil-thin". Those are words out of the mouths that feed the mills. But there are some really good results, both FUE and FUT. It's what you feel comfortable with that matters most.
  12. FUE needs messengers to spread the news that it can be just as good as strip! Dr Lorenzo is proving that everyday
  13. I've kept a decent amount of native hair due to propecia. My hair loss has not advanced in the last ten years and I to am under the impression that a hair transplant can be a one shot deal?
  14. That is one thing I am worried about with a hair transplant. I have alot of native hair on top of my head and I wonder if any size surgery would be worth losing those hairs forever. But shock loss, according to most clinics, only last a few months.
  15. Go on with your life man! There is so much to do in life besides being online.
  16. Anyone hear about Stephen King's short story "THE STRIP" ? It was something he wrote in the early 70's for some old-time pulp magazine. The main character of the story goes crazy after having a hair transplant.
  17. Scar5 you made some good points. I am glad I never went through with my strip procedure. The risk of having a stretched scar, a tight and numb scalp were not worth it just to have hair, for me.
  18. I'm sorry man, that scar is wide. Where did you go for your procedure.
