Regular Member HairFusion Posted March 24, 2012 Regular Member Posted March 24, 2012 (edited) Well folks it has been 5 months. I still cannot believe I spent thousands of dollars and willingly had my head cut open to have this done but it has been worth it. The difference between my pre-op state and today is there to see and it feels great to know that I can still continue to expect more growth. I look at my pre-op pics and cannot seem to justify how I could lead a normal life as a 30 year old looking like that. My crown is still as bald as an egg but at least I dont have to look at it in the mirror everyday so that is some compromise I have posted more pictures in my web log which you can access via this link: http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/journal.asp?CopyID=7759&WebID=2258 Here are some pictures comparing my pre-op state with today. Sorry the lighting is not the same but the difference is still notable. Senior Member aaron1234 Posted March 24, 2012 Senior Member Posted March 24, 2012 A huge/wide area to cover and 4,500 grafts is a relatively small number for that region.... and still such a remarkable turn around! Any plans for more? You may want to experiment with dermmatch and toppik. Those concealers can go along way - especially someone with your hair color. Senior Member chrisdav Posted March 24, 2012 Senior Member Posted March 24, 2012 Great progress at 5 months. 2 poor unsatisfactory hair transplants performed in the UK. Based on vast research and meeting patients, I travelled to see Dr Feller in New York to get repaired.
InfoSeeker2 Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 Wow! You must have good hair on donor area to cover all that part. Very impressive!

Senior Member Spanker Posted March 24, 2012 Senior Member Posted March 24, 2012 Whelp, this proves it. Dr. Rahal knows something we don't. Or he is into black magic, voodoo, or is in contact with aliens and using their science. Senior Member KO Posted March 24, 2012 Senior Member Posted March 24, 2012 Beautiful. Great work by Dr R and congrats to you sir! Was your donor density well above average? 3382 FUE Lupanzula http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/185463-3382-grafts-lupanzula.html
Senior Member RCWest Posted March 24, 2012 Senior Member Posted March 24, 2012 That is outstanding for only 5 months! You have a LONG way to go before the final result. Finasteride 1.25 mg. daily Avodart 0.5 mg. daily Spironolactone 50 mg twice daily 5 mg. oral Minoxidil twice daily Biotin 1000 mcg daily Multi Vitamin daily Damn, with all the stuff you put in your hair are you like a negative NW1?
Regular Member HairFusion Posted March 24, 2012 Author Regular Member Posted March 24, 2012 @aaron - At this point I am going to wait for the full 18 months, see how I look and then go from there. It would be another big financial commitment so would probably see if I can budget for it at that time. I used to use concealers at one point before my HT and found it too much of a hassle so I prefer to trade it off with a slightly thinning hair look. Lets see how much growth I experience in the next few months. @KO - I was classified as having good donor density rather than excellent donor density. So I would probably put the illusion of fullness to Dr Rahal's expertise rather than my donor. I was told that I had great donor hair quality though. @All - Thanks for all the positive feedback, it does pump me up !! Senior Member bonkerstonker Posted March 25, 2012 Senior Member Posted March 25, 2012 Nice one pal really happy for you. The jump between 4 and 5 months is great and there will be a lot more growth to come i think if you have another few thousand grafts in the crown you could be on for one of the best transformations ever with you being a nw6/nw7. Have you any idea how many grafts you have left available in the donor? Bonkerstonker! http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=1977 Update I'm now on 12200 Grafts, hair loss has been a thing of my past for years. Also I don't use minoxidil anymore I lost no hair coming off it. Reduced propecia to 1mg every other day. My surgeons were Dr Hasson x 4, Dr Wong x 2 Norton x1 I started losing my hair at 19 in 1999 I started using propecia and minoxidil in 2000 Had 7 hair transplants over 12200 grafts by way of strip but 700 were Fue From Norton in uk
