I made sure to go "hat shopping" prior to the surgeries to prepare accordingly. I bought 2 hats that had adjustabe velcro straps in the back as your head will swell in the beginning.Just becareful putting them on and off as I used to open the straps to be safe. I have used these hats during my 3 surgeries and they are actually a bit sentimental now.. NOW I wear them because I want to , not because I have to!!

21 is a bit young , why don't you look into meds to STOP the hairloss first

I think you need to be careful on what you blame on the drug and what is just normal male emotions ( and a bit of your mind playing tricks on you) .. Of course I am not saying your assessment may be valid but I attribute this comparison to when one starts to lose their hair.. We start to blame it on everything from allergy to stress to shampoos?? the mind is a powerful thing

Normal. The hair will always come in a bit coarse but then mature to normal texture. It can take over 14 months before you really see the final result.

I would recommend Dr. True in NY. i had 3 procedures with him and could not be happier. As far as graft count well over 5000 for a complete restoration. With that being said you need to speak to a qualified doctor to obtain real life information based on your situation you could probably do 2 sessions of 2500 or so but it depends on your donor area ( and wallet) I had 3 procedures but of course if I could do it over i would go for 1 or 2 surgeries if possible ( money was also a factor for me to do 3) Good luck

I would bet 10,000 dollars that john could not tell I had a HT (sorry 3 HT's). Hair transplantation is science and science is based on results. HT's today are a very high percentage surgery as are most cosmestic procedures. Ones opinion does not factor into documented proof and hundreds of thousands of successful procedures. Of course I can totally appreciate his concern and pessimism as i myself was skeptical thinking " no way I can have hair looking good again" (especially at 3 or so months). But then come about 12 months he will be singing like a bird as I was after my first procedure. Then he will want another. Well, I was wrong too. 5017 grafts later I have a great head of hair by any standard That is fortunately undisputable Hang in there John, Feller is a great doc! 4 months is NOTHING. No doubt the waiting is the worse part of the procedure by far.

For me it really take about 1 year to heal completely. No doubt for 1000 or less I would go FUE.

shock loss is always a possibility but 800 is not that traumatic "spread out". As far as the cosmetic effect of course it will help but without pics tough to say

Hey all For the first time in 8 years or so I bought Proscar and used a pill cutter..I couldnt get propecia on a trip to Europe so I had to DAMN I AM SO DUMB!! It is like 25% of the price of propecia and sooo easy!! Guys trust me, don't be worried, get the proscar in 5 mg and cut them into 4th's .. You will save a bundle!!

I've been on it since its inception and it has worked since. if you stop taking it , your hair will revert to where it would be without it over time.

I'm talking 100% recuperation i.e. the scar. Going through the scar healing is a bit of a pain (no pun intended)
