  1. I agree with 16inchscar and theemperor, they don't look bad anyway
  2. that gave me some hope may I ask how old are you and if you have any crown pics to post? Also the lighting/angle are not the same. I suppose that the first pic was inside Cooley's clinic by an assistance. Can you make a similar one? Maybe some one else has to picture you (better than you do it by yourself). Thanks
  3. Dear Bill, I have not intention to support Please Grow Please or to take anyone's side and also I admit that I am a newbie as Please Grow Please writes somewhere in this thread. However I have two points to make: 1. They never show him a strip 2.5 cm wide, they just show him a shaven part of the donor area 2.5 cm wide. 2. If they could prove him wrong regarding his point for almost only 1s and 2s, they would have shown to him immediately a lot of grafts breakdowns, supported with post op pictures. After that I guess that Please Grow Please would have stopped talking about it, but it didn't happen and although I don't dispute them, it is just a bit strange that they have so well documented surgeries, with only the graft breakdowns missing. Other than these 2 points, I admire the Hanson and Wong work and the prove for that is their happy patients all around the world. Above is just my opinion, because I just finish reading this big thread and I do not want in any case to be counterproductive for the thread or the forum, I am just used to say loud what I think.
  4. Thanks for your response Bill. I am talking about the initial pitting, the one that I have now and not the scars that will be created after the removal. I hope your last surgery went well.
  5. May I ask something, as I am very interested in the topic: I have old plugs but I have pitting also. So I guess laser removal is out of question, as pitting will remain. If a doctor removes them, recycle them and reuse them, as Dewayne's, my existing pitting will remain after a year when everything will be healed?
  6. Sorry for being out of topic, but I think you meant to write MSM in your sig.
  7. ?™ bought the electronic cigarette with filters containing nicotine, after my HT, in order to help me quit the real one. Although I didn't stop smoking I smoke less (real cigs) and I really enjoy e-cig. The addiction is to nicotine, and in order to get the nicotine needed, you smoke all other harmful material contained in the cigarette (further to nicotine).
  8. You have an amazing result. May I ask the total number of grafts used?
  9. 1. I heard that foam is less irritating, you can try and see. More knowledgeable members will maybe reply in this matter, but I think you should try the foam first and then decide. 2. Good question, this was extremely important for me. Since I wanted to repair my previous old (14 years) HT, this was the deciding factor to pick up a doctor. My old scar is very wide and my previous grafts are plugs. My job is in an office and it was impossible to visit H&W or Rahal for example. The previous scar and old grafts-plugs would have shown for months if shaved. It depends of what you have to do afterwards and for how long you can hide or wear a hat. However since you are not repairing anything, the closure of the scar from today's top doctors will not show after a month, I guess. 3. The standard is at least a year, which I believe is correct, as the transplanted hairs will reach full grown. Also if you continue Minoxidil (and propecia/proscar especially) you need at least a year to stabilize hair loss and see if you have any re-growth.
  10. Thanks very much lanthanos, when my foam supplies finish, I will definitely try the liquid. Where do you get all this info?
  11. Hi. I believe botox does not completely eliminate sweating and therefore you will till sweat but less. But even if it completely eliminates sweating, you will still be safe, because: 1) it lasts for some months and then needs more to be injected and 2) the body has thousands of pores for the sweat to "go out" and you are blocking only few of them. In respect of point 2 if you don't sweat too much and you sweat only on your feet enormously then you will experience rebound sweating from other pores but if this sweating is equally divided to all pores, it won't bother you.
  12. If I liquefy the foam before applying it, would it still be different than the liquid rogaine?
  13. Hi mmhce, thanks for bother replying, although you didn't actually answer my 2 questions, not that you are obliged to properly answer anyway.
  14. I am a new Rogaine foam user. The thread's title concerned me these 2 months. - How long do I have to rub the foam on my scalp, to achieve max absorption? - The greasiness of the hair is the only thing that bothers me and it is cosmetic, I have no itchy scalp or anything else. If I get the rogaine liquid my hair will be less greasy? Now that I use the foam, if I won't wash my hair one day, the next morning they look like a cow licked them. (Sorry for off-topic mmhce)
  15. So Chris what are the results of 10 years Minoxidil use? Did you have any regrowth?
  16. It is OK, provided that it does not touch your grafts. I think you should not wash your hair with hot water for at least 2 weeks to be sure
  17. I don't know what you mean by afternoon but in the last 2 hours before sunset, the sun light is not so strong. I think sunlight has an negative but not permanent cosmetic impact in all wounds, incisions, cuts etc.
  18. Dormant 3 months (100 days). Normal time for hair to move from telogen to anagen phase. Please accept a delayed thanks mmhce.
  19. What is the average time that need previous transplanted hair to regrow after shockloss and what is the average time for hair around donor area to regrow after shockloss? Thanks
  20. Thanks a lot mmhce. Just to clarify: it is too early now to start using it once per day? (after a month's use) And after the grafts fully grow up, what is the reason keep using it on the grafts? The instructions clearly states to apply only on the crown.
  21. Hello. I am post op and have been advised to use Rogaine on the grafts twice a day and on the crown, where there are no grafts. The question is if I can use it once per day only instead of twice because I am having a bath every evening and I have noticed that my hair with Rogaine look much better if I apply it after washing my hair. When I apply it early in the morning before leaving to work the feel very greasy. This is a quote from the Hair Transplant Network regarding the use of Rogaine, indicating to be used twice else it is ineffective. Also for how long I have to apply Rogaine in the front grafts? It suppose to help only in the crown and top of the head but also helps the grafts to grow better. When do I stop using it on grafts and continue only with the crown? Thanks
