  1. Everything looks and sounds normal so far… And if I must say so, it looks like you’re going to have a fantastic result when everything grows in. I look forward to following your monthly progress and viewing your results when they grow in after a year to 18 months. Best wishes, Bill
  2. Sparky, I know that a number of hair restoration physicians recommended by our community do offer body hair transplantation however, in terms of like hair specifically, I’m not 100 cent positive. You could always check with Dr. Robert True. I know he had presented something on body hair transplantation in the past. I can’t recall specifically as to whether or not he mentioned leg hair but it certainly would be worth looking into. Are you considering a body hair transplantation procedure yourself? Is there a reason why you don’t wanna consider Dr. Umar who has an outstanding reputation for producing excellent results? Best wishes, Bill
  3. Jack black, In my opinion, price should be the last consideration when considering hair transplant surgery. Those who choose a surgeon based on price alone are often unhappy with their results and end up spending more money in the long run to get repair work done. Instead, it is far better to select a surgeon based k. A proven history of providing inky the very best results. Then, after narrowing it down to a few expert hair restoration surgeons, then consider the cost. Best wishes, Bill
  4. FirstDuty, Also, please change your profile picture to something that doesn't include promotional content. Bill

  6. Melvin has given you some outstanding information and advice. I’m not so sure that your hair transplant or shall I say, both of them are related to your oily scalp. But I suppose if the sebaceous glands have been stimulated in someway by the surgery, it’s possible I suppose that is related. However, there are ways to help regulate it as Melvin already stated. So perhaps you can try one of the products he suggested. On the other hand, you could certainly consult with a dermatologist or even your hair transplant surgeon to teen additional advice. Best wishes, Bill
  7. Dr. Dua, Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to your patience. This is truly another example of your outstanding work and results. Keep up the great work. Best wishes, Bill
  8. Cheryl, Well it’s a shame that I am getting so good that all I have to do is look at the subject of a discussion forum topic And unable to determine if it’s spam or not. Clearly, there is no real success story here and I don’t even know what you’re referring to because I have deleted the spam link that you are trying to promote. If you wish to post here, share the actual story on this discussion forum and don’t link to a site that is selling snake oil. Bill
  9. To me, it looks like the natural hair whorl that’s evident in the crown. I’ll admit that when I looked at the first picture, it almost looked like there was a possibility of thinning because it almost appeared as if you could see scalp underneath the hair. But I think that is just the lighting. Once I looked at the picture to and picture three, I did not have that impression. If you want to be sure, you could always make an appointment with a top-notch hair restoration physician or a dermatologist who can evaluate your scalp under magnification and ultimately see what you cannot. He or she may determine that you are not experiencing any hair loss or early signs. But I suspect based on the pictures alone, that you are not experiencing hair loss at this time. Best wishes, Bill
  10. Dr. Beehner, what a significant difference in the before and after pictures. I’m very impressed but then again, I’m always impressed. Keep up the fantastic work as usual. Best wishes, Bill
  11. I happen to agree that at 17 years old you are far too young for a hair transplant. Most men don’t even start using their hair until their early 20s although obviously individuals like yourself maybe his hair earlier. In fact, my great grandfather was completely bald at 18 years of age. However, because most men lose hair over many years, getting a hair transplant now would not make sense when you will likely lose a lot more hair. Men he start losing their hair at an early age likely are going to experience aggressive hair loss. As a result, it’s just simply a bad idea to undergo hair transplant surgery at a young age and unless there are extenuating circumstance is, like Melvin said most ethical hair transplant surgeons would not touch your schedule at this age. In my opinion, I would speak to your doctor about Propecia and Rogaine when you turn 18 years old. That may be your best chance to save the hair you have or at least slow down the progression of male pattern baldness. Best wishes, Bill
  12. Thappa, Dr. Radha Palakurthi is also recommended along with the ones Melvin mentioned. I know it’s tough when you get different graft estimates to make a decision, but ultimately since all 3 hair surgeons you mentioned are recommended by our community, selecting amongst the three Will be a personal choice depending on which one you connect with most of which strategy you like the best. Personally, with the amount of hair loss I see in your pictures, I would likely elect going for the larger procedure. Now, you could always ask each doctor why their recommendation is different then another doctors and that you prefer one over the other just to see what they say. But ultimately, each hair transplant surgeon has their own unique philosophy. The good news is, each one has a long history of producing outstanding results. Best wishes, Bill
  13. Hairless, In my opinion, nobody has a lost cause. For starters, I would be all blown Norwood six if it wasn’t for the for hair transplant that I had. Now, I could’ve had my results in two procedures had I traveled from the beginning however, I’m still very happy with the end result. I’m not sure what your hair looks like now, but perhaps you could post some photos so we can take a look. Even though you went and had one procedure done early, it doesn’t mean that you can’t select an outstanding surgeon from this community And get the head of hair you want and deserve. Just understand that you will not be able to restore your hair to natural density however, you could likely restore a lot of your hair and improve the look. If you follow the link in my signature, you will see my patient website and see my transformation. Understand however, that the before and after transformation doesn’t do it justice simply because without any hair transplant surgery, I would be completely bald now. So the hair remaining on my head in the before pictures would not be there today had I not gotten surgery. Let’s see some pictures of the top, sides and back of your scalp so we can give you some additional and better input. Best wishes, Bill
  14. I haven’t taken the time to read all of the posts on this topic but I did want to respond with my own thoughts real fast. If you are not a good candidate for a hair transplant at 19 years old you are definitely not a good candidate for a hairline lowering procedure. A hairline lowering procedure is much more invasive and at 19 years old, there’s no guarantee that you’re not going to lose more hair which includes experiencing hairline recession. Even a hairline lowering procedure does not prevent or preclude you from losing more hair. So the fact that you mentioned a hairline over procedure… Are you familiar with the process? The below link discusses the procedure for women but obviously the same procedure would apply to men. It’s just that mostly women get the procedure because they don’t usually experience the same type of hairline recession that men can. https://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/Hair-Loss-Treatments/lowering-hairlines.asp In my opinion, if you are experiencing hair loss, Propecia and Rogaine are your two best options. If you are not experiencing hair loss and only have a high for head at this time, you would be advised to wait several more years before considering a procedure whether it be surgical hair transplantation or hairline lowering. Best wishes, Bill
  15. So you’re saying that Hasson And Wong used to sell topical finasteride or only that they used to reference it on their website? I think the best thing to do would be to contact them directly and ask although now that you made it public, I would like to know as well. I know that they and others have on occasion recommended topical finasteride as an alternative to oral finasteride. So it would be interesting to hear why it was removed from their website. Best wishes, Bill
  16. As others have already stated, the basic ingredients of each minoxidil brand are the same with some variation. The strength of the minoxidil depends on the percentage which all of them are usually 2% or 5%, 5% being the stronger of the two obviously. That said, some feel that certain brands may work better for them due to the delivery agent. For example, foam seems to absorb better into the scout then liquid so many prefer Rogaine foam. But I have heard some claim that certain liquid brands are superior in their delivery method than others… But I couldn’t tell you which ones those are. Frankly, I wonder if that more in somebody’s head then in reality. Best wishes, Bill
  17. It sounds like some of your questions are specific to Dr. Lorenzo and others are not. I will answer questions more generally. Technicians go through various quantities of training depending on the physician but hair transplant surgeons recommended by our community make their technicians go through very thorough training. As one of our members said above, training can be very tedious and time-consuming but it’s worth it since ultimately, if one technician is off their game even on one particular day, and entire hair transplant could be messed up and it will be the doctors responsibility. So while a technician is extremely important as are all of them regarding the hair transplant process, at the end of the day, the hair transplant surgeon is responsible for the ultimate result. Dr. Lorenzo was previously recommended by our community but now that he has moved back to Spain, he doesn’t really have the time to engage with patients on this forum which is why he isn’t a part of it any longer. I actually would like to reach out to him to see if he now has any additional time that he’d like to devote to our transparent process and working with our patients and community since his work and results I’ve always been top notch. Best wishes, Bill
  18. Interesting point that many of you are making about the hotel. I know that when I underwent my third and fourth hair transplant, I travelled to Vancouver from Pennsylvania which is a little bit of a hike… So I had spent two nights at a nearby hotel which was very nice and it gave me a chance to relax a bit. To me, staying at a nearby hotel will be much more comfortable than trying to stay at the clinic if that’s an option for you, but that’s obviously totally up to each individual. Best wishes, Bill

  21. Highlander, Thanks for such a great write up about your experience both before surgery, during your hair transplant procedure, and after. I appreciate you posting some pictures of your head before and during your hair transplant as well. Dr. Erdogan is exceptional and I trust you will have a fantastic results with for years to come when it all grows in. But be patient, it takes a good solid year to 18 months for a hair transplant to mature. Curate you to continue posting monthly updates with Photos. I also encourage you to create your own patient website by going to http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog. They are you can add multiple hair transplant procedures, add and rate your hair transplant doctor, add photos, videos and more. You can also link your patient website into your discussion forum signature… That way, anybody who reads your posts can easily find a link to your documented hair transplant journey. Best wishes, Bill
  22. If you are shaving another area of the head or face and not the area that was transplanted, you shouldn’t have anything to worry about. You won’t be affecting your transplanted hair in anyway. I don’t know if you’re concerned about the vibration or something, but there shouldn’t be any issue. To be honest, after my third hair transplant, I shaved the entire donor area while the staples were still in. Obviously I was very careful around the staple area and couldn’t get everything where the staples were, but I didn’t cause harm to my scalp at all. I didn’t shave the recipient area because it was already shaved and my scalp was full of transplanted hair. Personally, I didn’t start shaving the recipient area to match the donor area until one month after my hair transplant. But it sounds like you are safe to shave your face and other areas not involving transplanted hair. Best wishes, Bill
  23. Dr. Lindsey, thanks for presenting yet another interesting video. Sometimes I think about getting FUE in my linear scar to make it a little less apparent although, it’s usually pretty well concealed by my existing hair. I look forward to seeing the end result. Best wishes, Bill
  24. Srm73, As HTSoon now, this community does recommends a few excellent hair transplant surgeons in Turkey. On the right-hand side bar of this community, you will see at the top To drop-down boxes, one listing surgeons my name and another surgeons by location. I recommend using that feature in order to learn more about each hair transplant surgeon we recommend, especially those in Turkey. Also, if you post some photos, our community can give you our genuine input on how many grafts we think you would be eligible for and more information. Notes of course, that just because a particular forum member or members provided you a with a certain number, doesn’t mean that this should replace the expert advice of a hair restoration surgeon. Best wishes, Bill
  25. NewHairPlease, I like when members share their results after several years. It’s a reminder that hair transplant surgery is an investment that lasts a lifetime. In the next few months I’m likely going to post some updated photos as well. I’ve been growing my hair a little bit and after wearing it short for almost 10 years, I figured it was time for change and to see what my hair would look like longer. Thanks for inspiring members of this community with your long term results. Best wishes, Bill
