1800 grafts FUE with Dr. Kyriakos Maras - HDC
Sitries1 replied to UnbaldEagle's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
How comes you kept the long hair in the middle?? Must be pretty hard to pull that off in day to day life. Wouldn’t it of been better to shave it all off? -

Ok mate, yeh I get you now. I thought you were saying it was like a shock loss effect that wouldn’t resolve itself. But I agreed they should go within the native hairs to help with diffuse thinning -

Why do you say to t 1.5cm o FB the existing hairline will be lost?? Are you talking about the area adjacent to the newly implanted hair? If so, why does this happen? -

Research done but pretty sure I’ve made my choice - HLC
Sitries1 replied to Sitries1's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
HLC are u there with the most expensive clinics in Turkey and I would say the best clinic in Turkey. -
What do you think about combining FUE and SMP?
Sitries1 replied to helpthisguypls's topic in Open Hair Loss Topics
One thing I would say is that SMP def looks better when you have some hair still there to give the textured appearance so yes I personally think if you had a bad case of balding that was not possible to cover with full density via a HT them then a combo of the 2 would be a good choice. -

Research done but pretty sure I’ve made my choice - HLC
Sitries1 replied to Sitries1's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
HLC are in a different league to the lower priced clinics from my research mate. It’s all done manually and they do a maximum of circa 1500 grafts a day using the best method (stick and place I think it’s called - which makes it better working within the native hair areas). There is a lot of expertise there with multiple doctors working on you and they are Tried and tested with 2 of the other best doctors in Turkey having been trained there and started on their own (pekiner and Keser). Dr Turan would be my choice if I was on a lower budget. -

Keep us updated bro. -
Background about me - I’m 38 years old and have a receeding hairline which has gradually gone back over the years and slight thinning on mid section and crown. I have light fair thinish hair (not super thin). Over the past couple of years I’d seen some great results of HTs and knew that this would be on the cards for me when I found the time. I wanted to make my hairline strong again and shave some years of me! I had tried finasteride in the past and minodoxil and didn’t get on with them. I had already been in contact with hair of Istanbul about pricing and dates etc back in March 2020 but hadn’t pulled the trigger on booking anything (thankfully). Based on the 1st pics I sent them they quoted me around £4300 for my head and i also wanted my beard done which they said they could do for an additional £2500. They didn’t tell me how many grafts or anything but I told them I would be In touch and planned to go out around Xmas time but due to Covid crisis I decided things were to uncertain. I decided to shave my hair off during the 1st lockdown in the UK around May 2020 as like many I couldn’t get a haircut! I knew I was thinning but once I shaved it off I was shocked at how much scalp I could see and how patchy it was (my mop of hair was doing a good job at covering up the issue). Literally 3 days after shaving my head I decided to have SMP as it looked so bad!! The SMP was a great sucess and I was happy with the result so I was weighing up whether I wanted to even bother with the transplant at all but 9 months later I have realised I wasn’t my hair back so I began my research and I didn’t just look at one Instagram profile (HOI) - I decided to dig deeper which I’m very glad about. So after much deliberation researching different doctors, ploughing though a tonne of Instagram profiles, websites, Facebook Forums and 100 pages on this forum yesterday looking at results I think I’ve made my choice and settled on HLC Ankara. My shortlist now looks like this - 1. HLC - Great videos/pictures on the website and customer testimonials of dense packing to hairlines and all round good hairline shapes. I’ve read many reviews online and don’t think ive seen a bad one yet. They seem like a very professional outfit and they pull off great work without over harvesting the donor area. My only hang up with them was the fact I wouldn’t know which doctor would be doing the work- However when I thought about it and read others reviews who had been there they had multiple doctors present at the hairline design and multiple doctors working on you each with different strengths and expertise so in the end I saw this as a positive. They also seem set up well for beard and body grafts if required so due to the fact I was wanting my beard done (not using my precious scalp hair) they seem like a good fit for me. 2. Dr Pekiner - similar to HLC as he was trained there so hairlines and Dense packing looks great however I was tuned off when I heard of him aborting procedures - I did not want to risk putting myself through that. 3. Dr Ferreira - He seems like an Up and coming star but there aren’t many pics and vids online and I get the feeling he would be too conservative for me personally with the hairline and I don’t want to use Finasteride which I get the impression he would insist on. 4. Dr Keser - I’ve seen some great hairline work by him however he only does max 2000 Grafts on patients and I believe I need more. Also doesn’t use micro scopes. 5. Dr Turan - he was originally top of my list on this 2nd phase of research and almost half the price of the others however it just seems like more of a risk. Ive seen some great work that Hes done but I’ve been told that the others above are in a different class and at the end of the day you pay for what you get. Please see pictures below of me with hair around 9 months ago, then when I shaved it off 8 months ago and then finally with SMP 7 months ago. I’m currently trying to grow it out so I can sent pictures to HLC so they can see my current hair without the illusion of the SMP interfering with it.

Exactly as the title says really. I shaved my head during the 1st lockdown as I obviously couldn’t get my hair cut so took the easy option and do didn’t like how much it showed my thinning hair so I wen band got SMP done. I was super happy with the results but I don’t want to keep a shaved head forever so I’m now looking to get a HT done towards the end of summer this year. Has anyone had experience with doing a HT after SMP and can answer the above question?

HLC Ankara 2100 FU (10-11, jen, 2020)
Sitries1 replied to duchaine's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
You have had a great result there buddy. Really impressive!!! I want sue about HLC because of the fact you don’t know which doctor is doing the work but in another sense the fact that there are more doctors there at design stage and procedure stage means you g set the benefit of multiple doctors expertise. I really don’t think you need a 2nd HT to lose the hairline. It looks really dense and natural how it is -
Looking forward to seeing progress pics

Results look great. Pekiner was my first pic with HLC my second but I will def take a look at her work after seeing this. Lease update at the 12 month mark -
Any update on this? I’m looking at Using Dr Perkiner because I really like his hairline work but obviously you haven’t been happy with yours which is a little worrying. One on the reasons I won’t mess with Minodoxil is because of the issues your having - it seems to be something you need to stay on for life and I don’t like the idea of interrupting my hairs natural growth cycles.
