NW4A | 3500 grafts FUE (DHT) | Eugenix (Dr Arika Bansal)
plus replied to forest's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Thanks for the response @forest Congrats on the makeover, your previous style was a mess and the new look would be a game changer for sure!! Had you not heard of finasteride before, that you never took it before? Do you feel confident you will be able to take it for the rest of the life considering the potential side effects? As for beard, you're right, scalp hair is best, but beard hair blends in well in the top area only. So if in the future you reach nw 7 or 8 you would also need to cover the crown and back of the head too. Then you can't use beard hair there. You would have to use scalp hair but you already used up some precious scalp hair already. Is this something you discussed with the doc?- 64 replies

Man great documentation. I have some questions for you 1. how did you style your pre transplant hair? I'm really curious to know this 2. You still have some thinned out hair on top. Do you expect them to survive? Or was the transplant planned assuming they will not survive? 3. Do you have to allow them to use your photos in their videos and social media? 4. How do you think you will go bald in the coming years? Which norwood scale will you reach? Did you start taking finasteride only after this procedure? Is it oral finasteride? 5. Why didnt you use beard hair? Euginex is known to use that well. So you could have kept donor hair for future tranplants.- 64 replies

How many of you left the crown alone??

interesting how most people who have done HTs comb their hair back and not front. combing forward could give the illusion of a better hairline but people don't use that. I think for your face if you hadn't lost any hair at all it would look good to have some hair falling on the forehead. but with a HT, I wonder how it would look. -
imagine you're young and foolish and upon noticing some receding hairline you swiftly got that filled with a transplant. now fast forward 15 years you've lost far too much hair and you kinda regret that great hairline because that hair could have been used somewhere else. can you take that transplanted hair as donor again and move it somewhere else? what is the success rate like with good surgeons?

just an honest thought - why not discuss here so it benefits everyone? we're all in the same boat pretty much

it makes sense the way Melvin explains this. apprenticeship is a thing after all. it's a not a bad thing they make it clear who gets involved at what price. And Indians in particular would need more options as $5 per graft is ridiculously high for most of the population. and I did not question their ethics. when I said business minded I meant they are interested in opening a chain of transplant centres and creating a "brand". I am only concerned that it might eventually dilute their quality. just a healthy dose of skepticism, I hope my concerns are invalid.

Eugenix seems very business minded. They seem to be interested in setting up a big company. I think ideally they should have only one package where the main docs do the surgeries. Is this an India specific thing? There are some other famous docs in India who too provide the "brand name" but other docs do the surgeries. But in the US, all the famous docs cost a ton, but they do the surgeries themselves.

Most doctors don't even consider using chest hair. Only Dr. Umar Sansui (as far as a I know) is very willing to use all body hair. I don't know his success rate, you should email him and ask. Beard hair is more commonly used. Here is Eugenix's video on this topic and it contains some stats: But then there might be other doctors who ge better results.

5020 FUE Scars - Shaved down with blade
plus replied to SingaporeHairTransplant's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
wow this looks great! I think with this hair style one can use all the hair from the lower donor area? if it's kept shaven /buzzed anyway.. -
Yeah it could be true. I would feel more convinced if there are other medications out there (not hair loss related) which have a similar mechanism
-
I don't understand how you can apply something on your scalp, it gets absorbed into the blood stream and it has effect only there. Is there any medication in the world which is advertised like this? "apply this on your skin, it will get absorbed into blood stream but the effects are restricted to just that region"

is ugraft especially good for body hair transplants?
plus replied to plus's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
sorry I think I posted this in the wrong forum. Can a moderator please move it to the other forum? Thank you -
dr Umar seems to be the only doctor who is keen on using chest and other non-beard body hair. Is his Ugraft technology especially good for this? even eugenix is hesitant to use chest hair after my chat with them. is there something special about dr Umar? I understand he's pricey but I don't mind it if I get a great result.

@Melvin-Moderator have you ever shaved your head completely after healing from your last transplant? I want to see some pics of it if you have 'em. Thanks
-
you can find some pics of what the scars look like on the donor area but there aren't many for how they look on the transplanted area. the motivation for asking this is, let's say you lose the hair transplant battle down the line and decide to shave your head, what would the scars look like? I am considering doing BHT primarily so I'm not too concerned about donor scarring because it can be hidden.

is hair transplant is possible?
plus replied to Nadavsh1234's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
is your hair loss stabilized now? I doubt it since you're only 24. So it becomes super risky to do anything. if you think you will reach norwood 7 then using body and beard hair would be the only way. -
virtual consultation expectations
plus replied to plus's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Thanks for the detailed info @SLA may I ask how much you paid for the video consultation? interesting how she needed to know how the beard looks one day after shaving. maybe you should still send her a photo of that to be sure. on that note, what length of head hair do you recommend for a good assessment? -
my expectation from a consultation is to know how much my baldness might progress, whether they can use my beard and chest hair, and make a long term plan for me. How much time should I expect in a consultation for all this? what should I prepared with? I am aiming for eugenix or dr. bisanga but would prefer to not travel until covid is better. they are asking me to send pics and do a virtual consultation but I am skeptical how much it would be worth it doing this. how was your experience? thanks

The most extreme BHT restoration I've ever seen (by Eugenix)
plus replied to JohnBob's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
still they seem hesitant to take chest hair even now. maybe this was a rare case where chest hair survived. if this was the norm they would be happily take chest hair as donors. -
Tricopigmentation COMPLETELY disappeared
plus replied to True's topic in Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)
yeah lol even I want to know. I don't think trico has been studied scientifically. some italian lady came up with some disappearing smp thing which many people have started offering. so it is a gamble i guess. worst case you have to go there every few years and get a refill.
