  1. Good to hear Tommy. By excellent results are you saying you have had regrowth or just the hair looking stronger/thicker?
  2. +1 Is it possible, I think someone on here recently got it done around the nape of the neck. The issue is, you could risk shockless and end up with a bigger problem than you fix. Do you normally have your sides that long? Depending on what length you prefer I would consider SMP first, that's what I will do with mine to add shadow
  3. Is it not because them hairs on the sides are a bit lighter? Mine is similar but I hadn't really ever noticed as my sides are always clipped short. When I looked at them with a microscope there is long hair there but a lot lighter than the surrounding hair, almost translucent!
  4. I think you have great shape at the front man and would not risk fixing something that's not broke. Not to mention the risks of possible shockloss etc. A strong forelock with long hair looks great and masculine and as stated tweaking it risks looking feminine. If your hair was short than the temples would prob need an infill to match shorter styles but since you're keeping it long it works fine as it is. Another fine example of a long term result
  5. Would it not be better in the sense that it is not going through your digestive system and liver etc and is just localised. I know it can possibly be absorbed into the bloodstream but I would I thought it was a better option??
  6. My brother has had his transplant for well over 10 years(since he was 23). That's without meds or much hair care overall. In his own words he has no time to make 'poncy' videos or blogs. He done it for his own gain and didn't really want to shout about it. On the flip side if the clinic wanted to contact him he's changed his number about 25 times since and about as many email addresses. Prob not the norm for all patients but it's not as black and white as going through a little black book and getting hold of all previous patients with ease, and getting them to take the time to document their progress.
  7. I think you're being a bit tough on yourself. Obviously clean water is essential but I think that is just standard pimples of the new hairs pushing through. The one thing I would emphasise is when you are popping them it is ESSENTIAL that clean water is used and and ideally a clean needle and not finger popping as that is when you are exposing yourself to infection. Besides that it looks like they are growing in ok so just relax.
  8. There's no hard and fast answer to be found on here. There has been no in depth studies on humans on its affect when trying to conceive but there has been several on lab rats and monkeys which showed correlation to genitalia abnormalities, through the male and not just pregnant female contact. I am just in the process of trying for a second kid and would not personally consider using it under any circumstances whilst conceiving. It's each to their own and plenty of kids have been born whilst the male was on fin but why take the risk for hair maintenance. Even if their kid was born with underdeveloped genitals they would never come on a forum to shout about it so how would anyone know. You will have to weigh up risk and reward of your own circumstance.
  9. I started back training 9 days after my FUE in November. Just lightish weights and circuits nothing strenuous. I think one of the main other factors is of you are on any medication. I was on steroids for swelling which made me light headed until they were finished. If you're at the stage where you can wash your grafts after sweating then you should be fine. I'm like a bear with a sore head if I don't train so 9 days was enough!
  10. @SingaporeHairTransplant thanks for taking the time to create this thread, there is lots of solid information here which I'm sure will be a relief to many people in months/years to come. Also your new hair looks great after 4 months and makes a huge difference to your appearance. It's examples like this when people say dumb shit like 'why get a transplant, it's only hair?!'. Good luck buddy and all the best
  11. Have you been spraying them? It all depends on your surgeons advice but if they have given you mild shampoo I would rub it in with your fingertips and time 10 minutes before giving them another gentle finger massage and wash. Anything ready to come off will, anything still healing shouldn't budge.
  12. Have you considered maybe your follicles are not failing, but jumping off to escape your pessimism. There's an old saying, 'if you've got nothing good to say, don't say it'. As I've said people come on this site looking for helpful advice when they've had nowhere else to turn - me included. There's no pleasure to be gained from kicking people when they're down and dressing it up as help. It's a true reflection of someone's personality. Merry Christmas 🎅
  13. Would it not be risking setting the nose hairs off into a growing frenzy, big long straggly hairs Genghis Khan style 😀
  14. +1 From all the time I have been on this forum I dont think I've witnessed him post a positive comment. When people have been through years of self consciousness and then decide to get a HT which appears to fail, the don't need mr 'I told you so' to pop up and reinforce any negativity.
  15. Ahh ok, yeah starting at a NW6 certainly tweaks the odds. Well I'm glad you've had a good 10 years anyway and hopefully many more.
  16. Good to see you substituted fags for follicles 😀 have you used Fin to maintain it for that long John? It's always good to hear peoples secrets to long term transplant success.
  17. I couldn't tell you mate I'm in the early stages of researching it myself as I intend to start using it once I can use a different shampoo as I'm only 2 weeks post hair transplant.
  18. Can fibres be used on the front i.e the temple area or is it more obvious than the crown? I've got a couple of nights out over Christmas and the shedding is gonna look odd whilst it all grows back
  19. Well he has quoted upto $15 for people on this forum. You can ask them the complexity of their requirements but by all standards that is still a high price and may be competitive in the state's but not Europe.
  20. There are a couple of members using Minoxodilmax(?) Which is a topical of fin and min. If you search that it may bring up more links they posted.
  21. Yes I would definitely recommend it. Firstly because you will know how comfortable you are with a shaven head for future reference and secondly you will be able to get a better look at your scalp and where you are thinning. You can wet it and part it all you want but it is still awkward to try look in the mirror and examine a head with hair on. I've got thick hair which I have never shaved off so getting a skinhead on the day was probably more traumatic than the transplant! If I had known I was thinner in the back than I thought I might have planned for more grafts near the crown. It has also all grown back at different rates and definitely gives a clear pattern of where DHT is playing a big part. As stated above if you do decide to do it, go down the numbers on the clippers, you may not need to go all the way down to get a good indication.
  22. Contact the clinic mate because ultimately they are the one to put your mind at ease but bear in made layers of dry skin build up when not getting regular washes. My head was horrendous after a couple of days and I suffer with dry skin anyway. You could literally peel flakes of skin from my head and my forehead which I normally have to moisturise twice a day. Hope this helps and just remember after day 10 your follicles are well and truly established
  23. I have worked with people with qualifications coming out their ears that I wouldn't trust to run a bath and have have met experienced people who haven't been as highly qualified but in any given task have exceeded themselves. The point being that I agree with what has been said but also the fact that if you trust in the surgeon you have chosen and they achieve proven great results, then you can trust that they have trained their techs to a suitable point to carry out the job. It is not a one trick pony job placing grafts but it is not comparable to heart surgery on any level. It's also easy for Konior to play down techs requirements whilst he charges $15 a graft, but for people requiring larger surgeries with smaller budgets then the need for more viable options is required. Again, it's all down to PROVEN results coming from the clinic the patient has chosen.
