  1. Jeez 20k for 1500 grafts... I would want a holiday included in that and a large breasted nurse to look after me for 2 weeks In all seriousness surely if you are in a position to take time off and fly to Europe and beyond there is plenty of competition in Koniors bracket?
  2. If it's a shampoo given to you from the clinic then I would imagine it would be very mild. Unless your scalp felt irritated or any pain was present afterwards you should be ok. The grafts are in and growing just try to not to other think every stage. I'm on about day 17 myself and trust me we all obsess over every detail. Good luck 👍🏼
  3. As stated above and the fact there is dominant baldness in the family the likelihood is that you will bald at some stage. At a minimum you should try topical fin as you are young enough and have enough time on your side to see if it is effective or not. Have a look through the forum, there is a couple of members having good results from topical.
  4. After 10 days unless you apply the shampoo with a pick axe there's not much you can do to affect them 😂 they are anchored and growing. The main thing you can do is maintain a good diet and drink plenty of fluids, as the saying goes 'a farmer wouldn't plant seeds in bad soil' and the same applies for follicles. The only other thing that affects hair besides DHT is nutrition. Eat well, take supplements and enjoy watching them develop!
  5. I can't speak on behalf of Dr. Saifi mate but generally it's used for cleaning and to help the healing process. Just follow his process and if anything concerns you drop them a msg. Do they have a WhatsApp etc?
  6. Salt water helps with recovery and infection and all round cleaning. Did you not get given saline, do you have to make your solution?
  7. I was given a good sprayer tbh like a small salon one. So I just misted them regularly up until my first wash on day 7. By all means follow what you have been told but just keep them hydrated. Don't dry them just leave it to air dry and pat your face down where it runs off. Your one day wash I wouldn't physically touch them I would just lightly swill with a jug over a bath 👍🏼
  8. Put it in the bathroom and do it at least every hour and if you go for a piss that way you won't forget. I see so many people on here with big scabs on their head over 10 days after surgery because they were scared to spray. Give them a good spray but don't put the nozzle close to your head, just mist. You will notice everytime you spray it will run off red as the blood is washing away. After a couple days it will make a big difference. After my first wash on day 7 my head was perfectly healed and scab free without having to scrub. Good luck
  9. Mate all jokes aside I would tie your hands up when you sleep. I woke my self up on the first night trying to scratch the grafts! Luckily none dislodged. I just used the belt off my dressing gown from then on. Just tie it one wrist pass it under your back and then onto the other. Doesn't need to be tight, just enough so your hand can't reach your head 😀
  10. Yea I don't think it is an idea pushed forward enough plus I know I wouldn't of been keen to shave it off just to see so I can understand why it's not popular as important as it is
  11. We knew the crown did need work although it always looks worse without hair. I don't really want to touch the crown until I see a pattern of how my hair is proceeding as I don't think it's something that should be touched up for the sake of it. I'm gonna try topical fin and poss min in the new year and see how my hair reacts. If not a dramatic enough effect then I will do down the oral fin route on a low dose
  12. So I am 2 weeks in from having a HT. my hair has always been high at the temples and just continued to recede over time. Being tall and having quite thick hair, what was going on at the mid or back never really caused me concern and I didn't really think there was much going on. I have never had a shaved head in my whole life. Period. It's just not my look and I always sweeped it over so when it came to choosing surgery I was pretty much set on finding someone to do the grafts without shaving. Luckily I saw sense in the fact that if you want a transplant you need to see what's going on with the only exception being if you've had a transplant and you are just touching up etc. Fast forward to now and what I learned is my MPB is probably more pronounced then I would like to admit but luckily I'm at an age(32) where I could put the brakes on. If you look at my regrowth pic below taken today, you can see the hair growing back at different speeds and basically outlining where is possibly struggling due to DHT. This was never apparent to me and would never have come on the radar without the shave due to how thick my hair is/was 😢. The moral of the story is I think people should accept a full shave as part of the journey. And good luck to anyone who embarks on it. P.s I've already shed quite a bit so it does look light at the front
  13. One of the many processes of the body affected by DHT. This is why when people with no medical background answer every hairloss question with 'just start Finasteride' you should factor in any other underlying issues. I wonder how many people with 'no sides' are affected in other ways they wouldn't even know.
  14. Missing the second wash will almost certainly not have affected your potential final result. If anything you have done yourself a favour because in my opinion 2 full washes just 3 days later is quite intense for newly implanted hair. Whilst it's important for the scabs to be removed it's also important that they stay in place until the skin underneath has finished healing. Just keep washing to the schedule your doctor has advised but do not feel pressured to remove all the scabs in the beginning, 7-8 days is optimal healing time.
  15. Thanks man I'm happy with the result and my progress so far. I chose to stay in the UK because it ticks the boxes in the current climate and I was confident in what the Hair Dr could deliver with me only wanting the temples infilled. Curious has offered wise words and if you are in a position to travel then I would give the doctors with proven results a good consideration. Ultimately you will have to go with your gut instinct but a boat load of results will certainly put your mind at ease.
  16. Thank John I'm happy with progress so far. I bought the microscope for my kid to look at bugs but for £10 I think it's an essential HT tool!
  17. Evening All I am now 7 days post surgery and completed my first wash earlier. It has healed and cleaned up really well. Still some signs of bruising but all swelling has subsided although I am still getting the odd headache from after sleeping on the donor area. I've included 2 x microscope pics just for anyone intrigued how it's looks close up one of healed donor and one of the front row of grafts
  18. Well man you rolled the dice and it looks like you walked away with a win considering your odds... 🎲
  19. Ahh ok, I have never heard this. Another point to factor into future plans
  20. Sorry am I misreading this, does that mean if you have a BHT then the Fin has a reverse effect and causes it to be rejected?
  21. Well if looks as good in person as it does in your pic it's a stellar result for 1 surgery. I'm just starting my journey so time will tell. I was gonna say the hard bits out the way but I think 12 months of watching them slowly develop is going to be tougher than a days surgery. Good luck anyway
  22. How many surgeries did it take to get you to that result? Whatever you daily regime is it's a great end result mate I'm glad you have turned yourself around physically and mentally.
  23. Hair looks fine mate. My five year kid has got a bigger swirl than that! Eat well, stay fit, get out and enjoy life. Hopefully in 20 years it still looks just as good
