  1. I think many of the members will tell you its going to depend on your hair characteristics as well as donor capacity. If the hair is finer and of less quality, it will take more grafts to achieve a denser look. I think you're looking for a general answer right now, your best bet of course is to go to a good surgeon and get it estimated for yourself, but I'm going to say that it would be more than 7k grafts to get the coverage, don't know how thick that would be or how you define that for yourself.
  2. This confuses me so much. Are you a diffuse thinner by any chance and do you apply it throughout your entire scalp? I got on it a year ago and although my problem currently is only at the front, I applied it throughtout my entire scalp. It didn't do much to thicken back anything but it may be serving as maintenance, although I can't tell because I'm also on fin. Recently got to a point where I considered coming off minoxidil because of the hassle and the belief that finasteride will maintain. SO my main question to you and anyone who reads this, at this point are even the good terminal hairs "dependant" on minoxidil after a year? Is it a big risk to come off?
  3. Well what did Hasson tell you? Might be even cheaper for you to consider their clinic, even if you had forfeit your 1k deposit.
  4. Do you Recommend coming off minoxidil after a year if a person hasn’t seen results? Could you lose ground doing this ?
  5. I agree with the previous comments. Waste of money
  6. Try a lower dosage finasteride, maybe 0.25 every other day, and see how you tolerate. If you tolerate it well, you could decide to move the dosage up in the future. Try the dosage 6-12 months. ^ like mentioned previously you should try to see if you’re a Good responder to minox as well. take it easy, the shit you’re going through is no doubt hard, and you’re very young and it may feel like there’s no way to deal with this. Continue researching a doctor here, think you mentioned dr. Cinik, look up patient reviews. There are some good results from him here. but your first order is to hold what you have. You still have a lot to hold on to, and your problem is solvable, keep your head up
  7. I believe you’re talking about H&W, and if you go with FUE with them I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. High graft yield, great results. im hoping that if you’re considering In Canada you’re only looking at rahal and H&w. Both produce great FUE results
  8. Around 2,000 imo. Given your age, you’re likely a good candidate for high density. Get on virtual calls with doctors
  9. @bashley I recommend you search up a good trichologist, dermatologist or HT surgeon to take a closer look under a microscope. I say this because it looks like there is some thinning in your crown. You are under a harsh light so that plays a part, but its hard to discern whether or not its a natural cowlick. It seems to be slightly thin right around where you part it in your crown, and the parting hair covers the rest of your scalp so its hard to tell. A specialist will give you the closure you need. All in all, youre not in a bad situation at all, and if it is anything, you've caught it early enough to begin prevention. Hope that helps.
  10. I was quoted 2,500 grafts by 4 doctors on this forum for a much smaller area. Like someone mentioned, not the worst thing in the world, you may have to go in once more at a later time to fill in some density but they didn’t use up too many grafts in the first place. Just be patient
  11. Hey man thank you for that. I’ve only been on this protocol for about 8 months, And I sort of just started everything at the same time, so I really can’t tell you what’s working most effectively. I went through an initial shed and it halted. I do believe it is maintaining, but don’t think I will get regrowth in the hairline and temples where I have most of my problem. I’ll be getting a ht to make up for that. the only thing I could tell you is that on this current plan I don’t have any problems. the hair masks are good to just moisturize the scalp, as I do get irritation from time to time. Microneedling is oddly therapeutic for me, so I just do it once a week and some research shows it helps absorb the topicals. Everything else is honestly not a hassle, so I’ll stick with it. Last thing I’m considering is adding a topical like RU at a low dose just to insure myself at the scalp. But Am wary of the potential for it to go systemic
  12. Hey everyone, Current regimen: 0.5mg fin/day minox 2x/day 1.5mm microneedle 1X a week nizarol 1X a week biotin, vitamin d, msm hair masks 1X a week with coconut oil, castor oil, peppermint oil, pumpkins seed oil I’m thinking of adding a RU at a low dose 1X a day. I would likely apply RU in the morning, and then do minoxidil at night. Does anyone have experience they could share In regards to RU? I would like to apply just a small dose of it, should I start at 10-20mg? also what are the best ways to mix it/apply it. Kevin mann once said he puts in mixture with stemoxidil and alfatrodial at a low dose and applies it throughout his scalp cheers
  13. Trust the instinct that got you here in first place. You want your front fixed. When Dr. Konior sees you he’s going to evaluate you and plan accordingly. So it wouldn’t be much different whether you had that done now or later. I’d be more concerned if you weren’t literally going to one of the best. this is an investment in yourself and it won’t go wasted
  14. Thank you for the reply. I did just message two surgeons over WhatsApp, and one explained that many men have poorer growth on the “lower occipital area” I’m a chronic over thinker so that’s part of the issue 😅
  15. I'm not entirely sure tbh with you because i just give my barber free range, and he just does whatever to my hair, but I think I'll ask him to not fade next time and maybe do an undercut to see how it will grow in next time.
  16. Hey wanted to get your opinion on my donor area My hair looks like it’s slightly thinner on the nape and a little more on the right side. I do however get 0.5 fade when I cut my hair so it could just be that it hasn’t grown in yet. Something I should pay attention to ?
  17. Think you just have fine hair, and bit of a swirl in the back imo
  18. Confused about this as well. How is it possible that otherwise strong native hair would be effected by coming of minoxidil? How in that case do ppl come off it successfully if they had to?
  19. He does also look Portuguese too. and yeah I second that you’re in a good place
  20. I’m happy I didn’t have enough money the first time I consulted with a random doctor Downtown Toronto. He had a proper clinic but was a general plastic surgeon and had little to no experience with transplants, he would have done fucked my shit up. At the time I was sold and convinced with them. But when they hit me the 12k price tag, I realized I couldn’t get it done yet. Eventually I started researching, and realized that if I was able to get it then, he would have seriously fucked me up. Not even him, his artras machine and a tech
