  1. Also, anyone have any idea who he would have went to for this procedure...? I'd guess someone out there has some idea...
  2. Fair point. Imagine how destigmatizing it would be for the industry if all celebrities just came forward and talked openly about their hair restoration, such as Elon Musk and Matt Damon to name a couple...
  3. Really..? I hadn't noticed that to be honest. It was just something about graft placement in this video that made me somewhat suspicious..
  4. Just looks like mini-bangs to me. Trying to reduce the appearance of the big forehead perhaps.
  5. Maybe i spotted a double graft in that right temple area (his left temple)...?
  6. If it wasn't for my hours and hours of research, i probably wouldn't have thought anything of it.... but, as we all become obsessed here...we can sometimes spot thimgs almost unexplainable. Anyway, here was the recent video that made me wonder... I dunno. Thoughts...?
  7. Superb. And thanks for the clear, transparent results. Please take note other surgeons 🙏
  8. I haven't tried the oral version. But if i did, even with no sides, isn't it still reducing sperm count and potentially doing other stuff we may not have discovered yet...? Overall, the systemic hormone altering approach doesn't sit so well with me...
  9. Background: Thinning hair, very fine hair. No HT...yet. Not on any medication...yet I'll be honest, I'm not so open to getting on oral finasteride. That is just my personal feeling. I don't like the idea of messing with my hormone profile for the rest of my life. I'm not here to cause an argument about it, it is just my personal feeling.. I have heard that TOPICAL finasteride, however, while there are no side effects, the positive effects in thickening existing hair and keeping hairloss at bay, aren't that great... So, I'm wondering if it would be possible to jump straight to TOPICAL Dutasteride...? As far as I know, Dr. Mwamba already offers such a topical treatment, and Dr. Wong seems to have something in the pipeline also, so, my questions is, would there be any downsides for me going this route...? I appreciate all constructive answers. Thanks, guys!
  10. Amazing. Some questions if you don't mind: 1. How long were you on oral fin before stopping due to sides..? 2. Is the topical DUT what Dr Mwamba gave you..? 3. Do you think it gave less of a boost, the exact same boost, or more of a boost to your hair as oral fin, but without the sides? Thanks!
  11. Yeah i feel as though you ask a valid question yet LaserCaps hasn't really answered it. I think transplanting on to an area with follicles there can do some damage though i'm not exactly sure how much.. i'd love to get a solid answer on this...
  12. Let's not forget the leader of China. 68 years old with a lower hair line than i had at the age of 16. Just out of curiosity, do asians generally thin out less / slower than caucasians?
  13. Hmm, ok. Can you explain the difference..? Also, I was talking more about the benefits of topical dutasteride over ORAL fin (not topical fin). Cheers
  14. I was wondering about which meds to start, when i finally grow some balls and take the plunge.. Anyway, in the mean time I have been looking into topical as opposed to oral, and i came across this info regarding Dutasteride: "Topical Dutasteride is the most powerful topical DHT inhibitor available today. It reduces up to 90% of scalp DHT by blocking the 5 alpha-reductase enzyme locally while causing a negligible decline on serum DHT levels which significantly reduce the chances of side effects commonly reported on oral Dutasteride and Finasteride... Due to having a larger molecular weight (537kda) than finasteride it remains longer in the scalp with only a minuscule fraction of the medication becoming vascularized and going systemic. Our patients report reduced shedding, hair loss stabilization, regrowth and minimal to no side effects while being able to use this medication every other day or even weekly due to its large half-life... Our Topical Dutasteride is a unique and exclusive custom made formula containing Dutasteride 0.1%, natural vitamins and growth factors that have a synergic effect on follicles preventing further miniaturization and thickening existing ones." So, I am wondering, if this is true, and if so, why would anyone even risk side effects in the first place from fin when a supposedly viable alternative is available that you simply apply to the head..? Sure, I can imagine it becomes tiresome, but surely that is a better option than potentially messing up your hormone profile...? Would be grateful to hear your thoughts. Cheers
  15. It's a bit frustrating that on his website the gallery doesn't state whether it was FUE or FUT...not exactly sure why that is, or which operation he performs most...
  16. Looks great! Are there any professional pics that Farjo took..? Normally they document cases with the utmost transparency, so it would be cool to see super clear photos if possible... Also, did they give you the option to bring the temples in, or was it not even suggested?
  17. Looks great. Thanks for being transparent and showing all angles and donor region etc👋
  18. Interesting. I too would have thought long hair made no difference with regards to SMP... did you reach out to any others..?
  19. What do you mean, 'go back to normal'? You realise that those follicles taken will not return, right? Overall the donor area looks good in my opinion
  20. Would it be OK to include some close up pictures of the results and donor area? thanks!
