  1. 1) He said he wants FUT - why are you saying to go FUE just to plug your favourite doctor in the whole world? 2) He is a tricky case with diffuse thinning and FUT is definitely the right thing for him 3) What are you basing your expert suggestion of "FUE and beard" on? You haven't even seen his beard. My guess is the only motive behind this expert suggestion is linked to my first question above. 4) Eugenix are considered the best in the world for megasessions by who?!?! You? H&W say hello by the way.
  2. Yeah I did the video consultation too. Whilst better than pictures, I still don't think anything beats an in person one and flew out there a month before getting mine done just to have him inspect me and see what the hairline would be like. Also the vibe I get. Will your procedure be FUE or FUT if you do get it done? I have never looked at their FUE results as I have never intended to get an FUE but my FUT was amazing (results on here if you are interested) with them. Will probably go back end of this year for a second one.
  3. I am sorry that you had a bad experience in Turkey but, as an ex-patient of theirs, I am glad Sever and Laura are helping you and they are getting the recognition they deserve on this forum it seems. Is he just correcting Asmed's work or will you have a procedure with them? I still don't know why people take risks with hair transplants and go to somewhere where it is cheap. I was Turkey in January and the amount of people walking around, quite openly, with hair transplants was amazing. Most of them looked like they are not going to be happy in 6-12 months either. Just save up more money and wait a bit longer to go somewhere else!!!
  4. Ahhh it is a fear of flying and not just a preference. Even so, DC to LA - 6 hours. DC to Mexico City - 5 hours. DC to Vancouver - 7.5 hours. DC to London 7 hours. There is not that much difference in it. I would go for the best surgeon rather than avoiding flying. You have lots of good options in North America, but obviously cost is an issue for you. Maybe wait and save up a bit more? Konior is in Chicago and that is only 2 hours away.
  5. I am not comparing surgeons, you are doing that as you apparently have a fetish for Portuguese ones. The clinic was mentioned and I corrected the price that was given, that's it. To be honest I have never actually researched FUE results at Hattingen as I was never going to do FUE.
  6. So around 4 euros then, which is what I said? Also, those are approximate costs in euros as they actually charge you in Swiss francs so the exchange rate may change
  7. Prices are on the site. I think it is about 3 euros a graft for FUT and 4 euros for FUE (from memory) which isn't massively expensive given how good they are
  8. If you are looking at Hattingen Hair, as Melvin has recommended, I have created a post with my results from there. Prices are on the website and very transparent. Happy for you to inbox me if you have any questions too.
  9. So flying isn't your thing but you're willing to travel anywhere in the US and even to Mexico?
  10. I had my done with Hattingen too (4400) and they do it all in one day. They are known for doing large megasessions, like H&W in Canada. They have a team of great techs and that helps with the time but you still start early - about 6 or 7am - and finish late, about the same time at night.
  11. Based off 1 link you shared from an Italian forum. For every 1 you don't like though, there are more than 10 that are good. He has been around that much and shared that many cases that of course you will find some you don't like. He is world class though. Hattingen telling you to shave your head is just being ethical so you don't have irreversible surgery unless you are 100% sure - I don't see how you are counting this as being a bad thing. Just tell Sever that you are fixed on the fact you want the transplant and you really don't want to shave your head. Also world class.
  12. No, all the surgeons on your shortlist want you on it which is very different. I have already suggested you have in person consultations with Feriduni and Hattingen as the in person consultations are very different to video and photo ones. Perfect response. I love how the masses on here, and other websites, that don't have medical degrees are so quick to say "just go on the meds" without having an understanding of what they do. Sheep. You're doing the right thing. Don't go back on them. What kind of ridiculous advice is that and how are you qualified to give it?
  13. Either would be an amazing choice. Feel free to ask me if you have any questions about Hattingen
  14. A bit of off-topic but if this is the case, why did you not just go FUT? You would have a scar in your donor anyway, but at least one confined to a pencil line area across the back of the head, but a lower transection rate and healthier more successful grafts for a cheaper rate.
  15. 1. Ask your doctor but I would say no problem at all. Life is more stressful than an online game. 2. Lots of pillows to keep your back up at an angle and then use a travel neck pillow for the first couple of weeks. Once you are 10-14 days in, the grafts are anchored and won't be coming out. Confirm with the doctor what the time period is for full anchorage at his clinic. 3. Depends what you mean by large. I wasn't allowed to lift weights for 6 months, which is my main form of exercise, so I put some weight on, yes.
  16. Feriduni told me about post-finasteride syndrome, which I hadn't heard of before. I am also not up for taking meds. He told me I was sensible and that I shouldn't go on them unless absolutely essential. I would honestly consider an in-person consultation with him. Great results, very ethical and really knows his stuff. Online and picture assessments are only so good.
  17. I had stopped using the forum at the time of this post. I think going with Feriduni was by far the best option. He did you right the first time so why go into the unknown? Looking forward to update pics of the crown.
  18. Yeah I am not affiliated with them either - just posting my result and commenting honestly on my experience. I also consulted with Feriduni but he only wanted to do FUE and I only wanted FUT. You were the one that pointed out Hattingen to me initially and told me about the German forum, hence why I tagged you. Feriduni also sent me to Hattingen when I did my consultation with him so they came with a great recommendation there too. I agree he does conservative hairlines (it is Sever and not Laura that does the hairlines) and he knows this as he made a joke about it saying everybody online says the same thing about him. However, I needed a conservative approach as I don't take meds and as you say, a lot of space to cover. I would like a lower hairline but I think I will just add density to what I already have rather than give into hair greed. Undecided.
  19. Thanks! I am really pleased with the result too. It did actually thicken up a bit more after this point (this was 9 months). I am going there next month to have a check up and discuss a second procedure. At least it gives the forum a new clinic to consider now there is a result when names are being thrown about. Thanks to @Gasthoerer for pointing me in their direction.
  20. Yeah they will. Hattingen Hair, where I had mine done, does small touch ups with FUE. When I was having surgery done, one of the doctors (it is a wife/husband team) did a small FUE of around 120 grafts into an FUT scar in the next room. Where are you looking at getting it done?
  21. Hahaha did you not bother to read what I wrote and just look at the pics? As I said in the above, I don't have any other pics until I go to the clinic next month when I go for my check up and they can take the pictures which I will then post.
  22. Yeah! Thanks man. I am very pleased. This was 9 months too and I think it looks better now. Even my barber mentions that my hair seems thicker now. Your result will be even better mine as you had 6,000 which is crazy but you hopefully this post should calm any doubts you may have. Looking forward to your photos!
  23. 10 euros to you for being the first commentator 😉 For 9 months it is not bad at all, yes. Thanks! I don't dye my hair though, no (hence the grey hairs). I agree the colour change is strange though - I wonder if it is because it is taken with my phone in the after pics and the clinic's camera with the others? The true colour is closer to the afters I would say. These are the only pics I have until I go to the clinic in March.
