  1. Looking good - at this stage it's just getting started, so just sit back and enjoy the transformation you will experience from now onwards!
  2. Yeah, I'm suffering the same shock loss problem in the donor region as well and I'm at the 50 day mark. It also happened during my 1st procedure, but it corrected itself after 3 months.
  3. Noooo - if you have been avoiding it then please don't stop on my account. Maybe see if you can make it to the 6 month mark before peeking - I have a feeling you'll be in for a big surprise. A lot happened for me in the period between the 4.5 months mark and the 6 month mark the 1st time around. Enjoy it, it's a fun time as you see it get better and better. I absolutely cannot wait until I hit 4.5 months, the next 3 months are going to be torture.
  4. You should post some 4.5 month pics bud, perfect time for an update, no?
  5. It looks like you have some minutirization in the mid-scalp and it will take a lot more grafts to fill in those temples than one would think, however 60+ dense packing is a waste as you will probably achieve a minimal difference than if you go with a lower number. I would think less than 2k is probably not enough, so my sweet spot would be 2,500 to 3,000 if you have the donor supply, otherwise go with a lower more conservative approach. Your best bet is to place more weight on what the surgeon suggests.
  6. He will have to shave your recepient area, so unless it's a small enough area and you can do a combover it will be noticible. I let him shave my whole head, took 3 weeks off work, and got away with it - barely as my scar was slightly visible for the 1st few days back which I used couvre to hide.
  7. Thanks for bumping this thread. In anticipation that I (hopefully) get to joint that list once my result grows in and matures, gonna add mine below: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/181957-dr-rahal-2-245-graft-procedure-fut.html
  8. Looking real good Spidey, at 6 months I suspect it's still going to look even better as the hairs mature.
  9. Even though I am pro-Rahal, seeing that the crown area is a black hole for grafts, you will need the strongest grafts and highest yield to stand a chance. Therefore to echo the posters above, I highly recommend FUT over FUE. In addition, although Rahal can do good crown work, I would actually strongly recommend Dr Jerry Wong, as crown work is his specialty. Dr Rahal is renouned for and markets himself for hairline work.
  10. Btw - Rahal does use a manual punch, and although has delegated the extractions to Mike, he is just as involved as Lorenzo, Feriduni, Shapiro, and Erdogan who also have delegated the extractions but are renowned as the top FUE surgeons.
  11. Very unfair guys. I saw quite a few patients getting FUE done by Rahal when I had my procedure done with him in December. He does at least 1 FUE a day, his waitlist is 6 months long, and his head nurse Mike has been performing FUE extractions for years now. All the top clinics all have sub-par results out there, including Feriduni, Erdogan and even a few FUT ones for Hasson recently. The key point is we have not been seeing a consistent number of sub-par results from Rahal whilst we have also been seeing some outstanding results coming from his clinic of late too. Not saying there isn't truth to the statement, but I do think the misconception gets unfairly held against him. I can only tell you what I observed, and what I did observe was a man who is passionate and takes the utmost pride in his work. He has always stands behind his work 100%, and you can see his clinic always offering touch-ups and refunds for the bad cases. If you look at my earlier posts, I was in your camp believing that Rahal was a nonoo for FUE, but after meeting him in person, seeing the other patients and observing what I did, I changed my mind and would trust him to perform FUE on me once I'm stripped out. Also bear in mind that some of these bad FUE cases are stemming from years ago when he first started performing it, and used the Artis robot. My observation is that I see a man who has worked out the kinks and one that is supremely confident in his FUE work.
  12. So let me get this straight, on Saturday nights you are lying in bed in your tightie whitiy underpants with your laptop navigating through dating websites starring at photos and photos and photos of young boys for hours?????? Okkkkaaaay
  13. why don't you tell the public? Why do you feel it needs to be a private message?
  14. Thanks for bumping this thread - it's a great read! I wonder how the final result turned out - he had awesome growth at 6 months, so it's must've been even better at 1 year.
  15. You landed on 3 of the best, and I highly doubt you will go wrong with either of them. They have different approaches and styles, so what exactly are you looking for? If you want an aggressive hairline/high density of the frontal third, then Dr Rahal is untouched. If you are looking for a more conservative hairline, and can live with coverage over high density, then I really like Shapiro. I am assuming you are talking about Ron and not Paul? I liked Konior as well, and have nothing negative to say about him. I had my 2nd procedure with Dr Rahal this past December, and had an outstanding experience with him to date. Let me know if you have any questions. Seeing you are going with FUE, did you consider Lorenzo or Feriduni?
  16. He doesn't unfortunately. I did consult with him, but his results just never inspired me. His hairlines are too much on the high side for my liking, but he does seem to produce very consistent results. He is better known for FUE though, as are most of the European surgeons. I would look at Feriduni before Bisanga, but the top strip doctors seem to be in North America.
  17. I keep hearing his name popping up time and time again, and am only hearing how outstanding he is. Even Mike Ferko of H&W was raving about him and how good he is. Would like to see more Gabel patients posting their results here. I'll be honest though, he was never someone I really looked into, but I'm starting to think that maybe I should have.
  18. They are, but I wish I had asked this same question and been given those same names as a starting point before I started the process for my 1st procedure. My starting list of names I put together for the first procedure was something like this: - Bosley - Zeiring - Bernstein - T&D - Feller Pretty uninspiring huh - luckily I found my way for the 2nd procedure.
  19. Yeah, you should expand your list bud. There are better elsewhere such as the likes of Hasson, Rahal, Shapiro, Konior, Feriduni, Lorenzo ect
  20. Love this question - I like Ron Shapiro, Konior, Hasson, Rahal, Feriduni, Erdogan, Lorenzo
  21. Dr Rahal can achieve super dense packing with his needles. He is the most aggressive in the frontal 3rd region I have seen out of all the surgeons I researched. Dr Hasson's hairlines are probably less dense, but I have also seen some outstanding frontal 3rd density from him. The other elephant in the room is Dr Erdogan of Turkey who seems to be ultra aggressive with the density, although I wonder if he is that way to overcompensate
