@paddyirishman, you are in great shape man! While you currently look like a bald guy you’re also in this really sweet spot with your recipient as it doesn’t look like a single thing has been done to it. 👍🏻 I’m really excited for you!! This waiting game we play is the hardest part.
I’m curious as to how your donor is looking.
Hello @Steeeve thanks for your comments. Yes my doner feels great and I'm very happy with it. It's still maturing to grow after it had been shaved to zero. I knew before I went to Dr. Arika and Dr. Pradeep their work is really clean , and they take great care of their patients doner with extractions and not to overharvest in the same area as I have seen with so many other less experienced doctors in other clinics.

@pkipling yes managing expectations is very important.
Instead of using fibers for life into the crown, beard grafts is also a good alternative.

Hello @Pinkyandthebrain contact some top doctors and arrange a consultation. Establish what your doner is like. One can never say for sure but try and establish where your pattern is going but more importantly where will it end.
It's best to plan for the long term , so a conservative hairline would be the way to go to hold onto your precious grafts in your doner for later.
Yes you can get great coverage by going the FUE route. You could also use beard grafts in your mid scalp ,and crown area later.
@LaserCap gave you some great pointers and advice.
If you cant afford a top doctor now it's best to wait untill you can afford it. Widen your search, one country is not enough. Don't let distance put you off.
All the best

Your doner looks very limited. You could make great use of beard hair that would give you a great result.

Hello @funkymunky. I think you look very good at this moment in time.
You have gone conservative on your hairline area which really suits you.
Your crown looks good, you used 2000 grafts.
So that' leaves the mid scalp where nothing has been done. Your pattern shows that you will lose that.
You have done 2 FUT HTs already , so it's likely your looking at FUE next. You have a great wave in your hair which will help coverage.
If you use more precious grafts from your scalp now on your crown and when you lose the middle you will regret it. I think you should concentrate on the mid scalp , and maybe improving the hairline a little bit next , and forget the crown for now.
You have used 2000 grafts into the crown already what would make a big difference to it would be to implant 1500 beard grafts to it.
The above approach would cover all angles and give you an excellent improvement and you would be set for life.

Hello @147break. Yes Aloe Vera gel is excellent , I used it on my doner after 7 days when I was finished with the head wash and applying antiseptic ointment to the doner. It works wonders.
Please check with your Doctor before applying it to your recipent, it should be fine. I started to put it on my recipent after 25 days or so.
Yes my scalp was dry after 17 days also , Dr Pradeep adviced me to wash the scalp every day to help with the dryness and it really helped greatly.
There are a few different types on the market , please see a picture of the one I use in my previous posts.
All the best for your own HT.

My Advice is to forget about it .and dont care what others think go out and enjoy yourself .
Yes @Taurus75 thats a good piece of advice , it's very important to stay positive . At the end of the day we are our own worst enemy, nobody else cares about how we look, it's just ourselves.

Great potential for a breakthrough however it still will be many many years before we know anything solid as its only in its infancy to put it very mildly.
Now watch all those black market clinics jumping with their showcase false results to get business.

@Taurus75 at least the worst of everything is over with now and the next few months wont be long coming round.
Do you have any tips or advice for dealing with the ugly duckling phase ?
.....Paddy....
-
@duchaine yes transplanted hair does grow before the shedding phase or as you say hair fall. I noticed the growth in my transplanted hair before shedding. My shedding started after about 3 weeks.
After the shedding the graft that was implanted goes to sleep for 3 to 4 months and then the hair begins to come through the scalp again.

Tnx buddy,
But i want to fill up my templates, is it dangerous?
Do u think that i should wait my hair will fall?
You should wait before deciding on a HT. You still have a lot of hair. The issue is you have started to lose hair now, and you will continue to lose further, so you fill in the areas with a HT that you lost now what happens when you lose more hair ? You end up chasing and chasing your hair. If you have a lot of hair now, you have a lot of hair to lose.
So the best plan is to try and hold onto what you have, when its gone you can never get it back. When you recede and lose a lot more thats the time to have your pattern assessed by a qualified surgeon and get as many opinions as possible. Then your doner can be assessed and it's potential for coverage to what you lost and what you will continue to lose. All of that is for the future , not now.
When their is a time to look further into a HT , research, research, research.
All the best.

Very nice improvement , congratulations to the patient and All the team @Eugenix Hair Science.

In my opinion you still have a lot of hair and a HT at this point in time would not be a good idea.
You should take something that your body can tolerate to help retain what you have which is what your priority is at this moment in time.
All the best

6 WEEK UPDATE
I AM AT THE STAGE NOW ON MY JOURNEY THAT IS CALLED THE UGLY DUCKLING PHASE. LOTS OF TRANSPLANTED HAIR HAS SHED, AND THE HAIR THAT'S LEFT IS NOT VERY EXCITING AT THE MOMENT. AS IM GONE 6 WEEKS POST SURGERY I AM RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE UGLY DUCKLING PHASE, AS IN ANOTHER 6 WEEKS TIME FROM NOW WHICH WILL BE AT THE 3 MONTH MARK NEW HAIR WILL START TO PUSH THROUGH .
THE GOOD NEWS IS I HAVE EXPERIENCED NO MORE SHEDDING THANKFULLY. THE REDNESS IS NOW GONE IN MY RECIPENT. THE NUMBNESS WHICH WAS JUST ABOUT GONE A WEEK AGO HAS NOW COMPLETELY DISSAPEARED ALTOGETHER.
MY DONER AREA FEELS GREAT, AND IS COMPLETELY HEALED NOW. THERE IS NO MORE ITCHINESS THERE AT ALL.
I AM STILL WEARING A HAT WHEN I'M OUT AND ABOUT IN PUBLIC . WHEN I MET PEOPLE I KNOW WITHOUT THE HAT NOBODY HAS MADE ANY COMMENT ABOUT A HAIRTRANSPLANT AS ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO NOTICE ANYTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY HAS BEEN DONE.
TOP TIP :
I HAD BEEN PUTTING ALOE VERA GEL ON MY DONER UP TO NOW TO HELP WITH HEALING AND ITCHINESS. I HAVE ALSO NOW BEEN PUTTING IN ON MY RECIPENT ALSO, IT IS REALLY GOOD AS A MOISTURISER FOR DRY SCALP. I ALSO USE JOHNSON'S BABY SHAMPOO WHICH IS GENTLE AND KIND TO THE SCALP WHEN I WASH MY HAIR.
PATIENCE AT THIS STAGE IS IMPORTANT AS THE ONLY THING I CAN DO IS SIT BACK AND WAIT.
ANY COMMENTS OR QUESTIONS PLEASE FEEL FREE.

A correction of what @Portugal25 said about the price per graft with Dr. Arika.
The cost is €1.80 per graft which includes tax.
( It's not €1.80 per graft plus tax )
We know that price is not the most important thing to look at when researching for world class surgeons , however at that price compared to others who are not in Dr.Arika league (who @Portugal25 also pointed out ) it certainly is an excellent price.

Hello Fluff.
Your recipent is looking really good. The redness is normal, and it will fade away week by week. Well done on removing the crusts, it's a big step forward.
Your doner area looks really clean and is healing well. Yes the Aloe Vera Gel for your doner area has great healing properties. You will be finished your medication, so you can relax now as your grafts are well and truly anchored at this point in time.
If you check in on my thread their is some great tips and advice for you on your journey.
All the best Fluff

Hello @ahglet The prices at @Eugenix Hair Science are still the same. I paid 120 rs for my surgery with Dr.Arika.
You can still have surgery with Dr. Arika for only 120 rs per graft , and she is highly talented. Please see my thread with all the information.

@paddyirishman my session is booked with dr pradeep on 18th Feb in mumbai. I have chosen the 120/graft package which has increased in price now. I will be getting around 1500-2000 grafts for more density on the hairline and filling the major gaps. Although i m thinning slightly on the crown as well but i will use medicines for that considering i m just 31 now and might need more grafts in future so graft management is very imp. I had and a fue 18 months back of around 1200 grafts for my hairline which did not give me enough density and would like to fix it once it for all this time. My first procedure was not very well researched. This time I have understood the importance of choosing the right surgeon.
Thanks for all your help @paddyirishman
Thanks @Loadrunner for your appreciation . Dr. Sethi is marvellous and he will give you a wonderful result.

Use Aloe Vera gel from Dr. Organic. It works wonders for dry scalp. I have posted and other forum users has posted about it on my HT thread ..Experience of an Irishman.
