  1. Or you could look at it the other way and say you had a failed FUE so dr wong suggested FUT as a more reliable method to eliminate the possibility that you didn’t have good hair for an FUE and that actually FUE could’ve been a riskier approach as after 2 bouts of FUE you probably couldn’t do a FUT (if it had in fact failed again). from what you deduced from that you thought H&W were reckless with grafts and more of a hair mill? That’s a strange conclusion from an one opposing treatment plan, which when you actually look at it, dr wongs approach was probably more conservative and would’ve given you more lifetime grafts...
  2. I’m sorry but there’s no way H&W are or could ever be considered a “mill”, in fact they’re probably one of the most renowned clinics in the world for repair work. They are not reckless with grafts and frankly even just as a patient I find that post insulting and uninformed. The megasessions aren’t about more bang for your buck they’re done because they give the best possible results with damn near 100% graft survival. Konior is a great surgeon but when it comes to before and after pics no one is more consistent with more dramatic results than H&W and the density they achieve in one pass is unrivalled. Take a look at the Spanish guy on their homepage for example who I think had 10 K grafts in one sitting and went from totally bald to no sign of hairloss, what would the benefit there have been going for a conservative approach of 5 2k surgeries? With his waiting list it would’ve taken what 10 years to get that result with konior?
  3. I really hope you get great results, and I don’t doubt you will, but I feel like there aren’t really that many konior results on here. What I’ve seen is good, but it’s not like his patients are prolific on here
  4. That’s great, and I’m happy you feel that way, but I feel you can’t really say how good a surgeon is until you’ve experienced the results. Not to say you won’t, u picked a really good surgeon imo, but he could be the nicest, most professional guy in the world, but when all is said and done the only thing that matters is the results
  5. Wait... people are downplaying H&W and acting like they aren’t and haven’t been the premier HT surgeons in the world for over a decade? You can probably count the amount of bad results from this clinic posted to this forum on one hand. They are incredibly consistent and regularly produce world class results in the patient posted threads. Also they are not pushy, I’ve had experience with 4 clinics and was only harassed by one and that wasn’t H&W
  6. There are still surgeons out there that care about their patients and reputation and putting out consistently excellent results, Hasson, Wong, Lorenzo and a couple of others. I’ve seen some nice results from gabel, konior is well regarded on here (although I have t seen enough of his results). There are still those top quality clinics it’s worth paying for imo. But yeah the two you mention have really slipped as of late unfortunately in my opinion judging by recent threads on here.
  7. Strange considering the reputation this clinic had 5 years or so ago. Wonder what’s up with the dissatisfactory results as of late. It doesn’t seem confined to FUE either as this thread demonstrates. Have you spoke to the clinic about a resolution at all? If so what did they say?
  8. Given the amount of grafts I think this is a great result and a really nice improvement. That being said I can see your concern in the temple area behind the hairline, I can’t see it needing many grafts at all (maybe a few hundred) to turn this into a stellar result. That being said I don’t think the surgeon did anything wrong here and I think it’s a lot more noticeable due to the contrast. Imo it’s always better to get dense packing in stages as it’s far more predictable, you’re in a great position imo and from here I think it’ll be very early for your surgeon to get you where you want to be
  9. He’s taking a break from the forums, I spoke to him a week or so ago
  10. The thing is with this case is how low down into the donor the hairloss goes, if u get some retrograde loss and u lose hair from the nape up the the “safe” zone is very small and probably won’t give you coverage if you lose it all. The other problem is the lack of response to propecia, not sure a HT is wise. The only way I can see it looking ok long term is if you’re not really bothered about the crown and you concentrate on the frontal 2/3, which at this point isn’t bad. If you use up all your grafts on the crown and you lose the rest you won’t be able to shave it. I suppose another way to go if you’re good with the shaved head look is a combination of SMP and FUE. its a tough one for me, but I think you’re being wise assuming you’re going to be a class 6
  11. There’s been a couple of patient posted results, although they do seem to differ a little from the ones posted by the clinic although there was a result that was outstanding, I think the guys name was Ernie if I’m not mistaken.
  12. Great approach, that old hairline wasn’t sustainable with the amount of donor vs the amount of hairloss. Much better to have a denser head of hair with a more mature hairline
  13. I’d just base your opinion on current results rather than old results tbh
  14. The hair is delicate for the first week or so post transplant. And since you’ll be under anaesthetic for the nose it’s probably not a good idea to have freshly transplanted hairs as you can’t guarantee they won’t be stressing the transplanted area, at least with a rhinoplasty you can wear a splint to protect it post op
  15. No one is offended, at the end of the day the choice is yours, but if you’re surgeon is going to offer a nose job and a transplant then that would ring alarm bells for me. You really should at the very least go to a dedicated hair transplant surgeon. There are literally hundreds of FUE doctors in Turkey, the ones that have been named have a proven track record with patients (not just clinics) posting actual results in this forum. So the majority people probably won’t be familiar with a lot of the others. As I said you may get lucky, but it’ll be pot luck. If you’re comfortable with that then go for it. I do understand how enticing these clinics and offers look, but I’ve seen so many horror stories from Turkey, not just hair. A girl I know had an ass job and it looked like they’d just turned breast I plays upside down. I’ve had friends have veneers and they look like tic tacs, a girl I know had a boob job and she can literally flip them all the way over to look like her breast is flat. And then a couple of boys I know have had transplants done by techs for £1500 and they really did look better before. It’s like dolls hair with wide spaces and multis in the hairline
  16. No ones saying you’ll get terrible results 100% of the time outside of those few clinics. What people are saying is it’s like playing Russian roulette with your scalp. Techs do a fair amount (especially with FUE) no one is doubting that, but in scenarios where there is a doctor supervising (especially one that gives a shit) and at the very least making the incisions for recipient sites then the chances for a successful result are much higher. In these clinics where there isn’t a named doctor just techs you’ll be hard pressed to find people who care whether you get a good result especially as they have ZERO come back because with Turkish law you can’t even sue them. Sure you may get lucky and catch them in a good day but do you really wanna take that chance? Have you seen how bad, unnatural and sparse some results can be?
  17. But people are giving you the best information. I wasn’t being any way with you, just being blunt. There are way too many horror stories to count from these hair mills. There are 2-4 clinics in the whole of Turkey who produce consultant results, the others are terrible, I’ve seen results first hand. Believe me, you’re better off bald than having those kind of results, that’s what people are trying to tell you in this thread. If you still want to roll the dice on one of these clinics who’ll do your transplant, put u up in a 5 star hotel and pick u up from the airport all in for £1500 then that’s your call. I’ve got nothing to gain from telling you this, I’m just trying to steer you away from these clinics who don’t even have doctors, just techs and spam the Internet with their advertising, all they care about is getting your money, results are barely an after thought. There was a documentary on British TV a couple of weeks ago specifically talking about these hair mills and how in a lot of instances they’ve ravaged the donor so much (without getting results) that the patient can’t even get a repair. Hair in your donor doesn’t grow back so don’t risk it by choosing a HT solely on cost
  18. You’re on this thread asking people to recommend surgeons, and then when they do you’re dismissing them and still Pursuing these hair mills that are likely to disfigure you. As stated in the post above there are only 3 or so clinics I’d ever consider in Turkey if you want to get the best chance at a normal looking outcome. If you choose one of these other clinics it’s likely you’ll be back here looking for advice on a repair which will be more difficult and costly
  19. Thank you, I’m very happy, you don’t realise how much hair loss really affects your life until you’re out the other end. i use aveda products usually, their men’s range. Firm hold gel on damp hair before blow drying, then clay to style followed by firm hold hair spray. how do you know it’s exclusively from the recipient? I occasionally have a small amount of hairs shampooing, which is normal. Certain times of the year it can be more, although I don’t pay much attention to where they’re coming from. Not sure if that helps, but I’d say 10-15 is normal. How often do you shampoo?
  20. If anyone deserves a happy ending it’s you mate, you’re always on here offering really good advice. Sucks you got a bad result from what a lot of people consider a top clinic. It’s really difficult to see through the marketing with certain clinics and see them for what they actually are, unfortunately I’ve had a few people messaging me who had a similar experience to you, surprising considering the reputation the clinic seemed to have a few years back on this forum. Where are you with your journey at the moment? Have you got someone in mind to repair the issues you have?
  21. I don’t mean this in a disrespectful way Pete, you seem like a really good guy from your posts, but I’ve always wondered why we never really see much in the way of densely packed results from Farjo? He’s widely considered one of the top guys in the UK and his prices reflect that. I myself had my first op with Farjo and I just felt personally that they took me from bald to balding, when I enquired about a second procedure to add density (in person) I was pretty much given a flat no, dr Farjo said that I wasn’t a suitable case and asked mick to show me how to use hair fibres instead. Now Farjo and mick were both nice enough, I was treated well and other than the fact I had no real density or styling options I didn’t have any other complaints, (my procedure was 2k grafts on the frontal third via FUT) but I’ve kept my eye on results since and I can’t really remember seeing any dense packed results, what’s the reasoning behind this? Is it merely just a conservative approach? Again I apologise if it sounds like I’m having a go as that’s not my intention, I’m just curious the reasoning behind this? Or maybe I’ve just missed the densely packed results you’ve posted? If so then my apologies, in that instance can you direct me to these so I can take a look? Also if you’d like I can post/send you my year post op pics so you can see my Farjo results. Thanks
  22. My bad, I found the whole thing confusing tbh, partial pics, wrong graft count etc. but yeah it looks natural, the only reason I questioned it was that it didn’t look dense for 3500 grafts, looks about right for 2500 though
  23. So it was 2.5k grafts not 3.5 k grafts? I thought it didn’t look like 3.5k one question though, why were 2 ops needed for 2.5k? How was it split? 1200 per op? Any reason why such a small number per surgery? 2.5k wouldn’t even be considered a mega season these days
