  1. I didn't use it on my transplant, but I'd look into Rosehip oil. Used it on a long scar, and the areas that I used it on were faded, compared to the others which were still pink. So it seems to work.
  2. I'd imagine that having a smaller head means that you likely have denser hair as well, which means the donor may be smaller, but you can take more out of it. A big head would sort of stretch the scalp, making the head hair cover a larger surface area. Like how women can have tiny heads, and their hair seems normally thicker than even non balding guys.
  3. I haven't contacted him yet. While things aren't good at 8 months, I'm mainly waiting until 10 months to have more of a 'final' result before jumping in fully and just researching everyone I possible can for now. Kind of narrowing it down to Hasson/Wong, Konior, Bisanga, Shapiros, Rahal and having the list grow, shrink and change depending what see in that time.
  4. I'd say consult with Feller, but if you really want FUE, definitely travel elsewhere. While Feller performs it, he doesn't seem to particulary like FUE. NYC surgeons are very expensive compared to a lot of other places, and the best FUE surgeons aren't in NYC, so you'd be paying more for a likely inferior result. Bernstien is also an option
  5. The issue is that the scar is very wide and after 2 FUT, definitely tight. An Australian surgeon said that 600 could be done and -maybe- 1200 with laxity exercises, but Konior recommended exclusive FUE, still waiting in responses from Dr Wong and Rahal. So I'm looking at the idea of elite FUE surgeons who can also excise the strip at the same time.
  6. I guess I worded it dumb. I meant like removing the scar, but also performing FUE for the hairline.
  7. So, consults on my situation have all recommended FUE more highly than strip due to my scar being unfortunately wide (5mm mostly, 7mm at the wider areas). Starting scalp exercises asap to work on that laxity wise. While I definitely want to remove the strip, maybe a strip removal with FUE at the same time might be best. So, if going the FUE method, would Bisanga be more desirable compared to going to Hasson&Wong or Konior. Is Bisanga good at strip also?
  8. I can't picture how that headband would work. I'd just wear a bandanna or surgeon cap if early on and deal with looking a bit dumb.
  9. Honestly, looking at Ali Karadeniz, bad results seem to be pretty common and I'd completely imagine that this is due to the surgeon, rather than you. Message him, but I feel that you'd be better looking into surgeons at like, Belgium or somewhere. They're pretty much the same price as the Turkish surgeons and much better (apart from like, Erdogan) Also see a dermatologist to check if your recipient is scarred to a noticeable degree, as that would be a very important factor in a second surgery
  10. They 'can', but I honestly think it's pretty rare to see a result with barely any growth improve beyond this stage. Keep your hopes up, but researching into a repair surgery would be the best bet
  11. You should ask, but unfortunately I don't think much can be done at this stage. Definitely don't go back to him, though
  12. So, continuing my research of looking into surgeons, while I'm still leaning primarily on Konior, a consult I've had with an Australian surgeon suggested reasons for the poor growth including scar tissue of the recipient sort of preventing the grafts from being able to swell and different implanting techniques for situations like that. It just made me think further and more want to look into the best 'repair' surgeons rather than best surgeons in general, as while Konior might very well among the best surgeons, surgeons like Arocha and Umar might actually be more suitable if my recipient skin is damaged due to them seeming to specialize in repair surgery.
  13. Would definitely like to see a modern picture to see how it's gone
  14. Rooting for you to see an improvement. If you've had noticable growth in the past 2 months, I feel that you shouldn't put the potential maturation thickening out of your thoughts. It'd be different if you saw nothing growing since month 6, but you do seem to have new hairs according to your post.
  15. Over the past year or two or so, I've noticed much less results from Feriduni patients recently, while he was pretty much the number one surgeon, or at least one of the very best. Could it be because of his popularity causing very long waiting lists, leading to many forum goers going elsewhere? Has anyone been to him recently to share their experiences? If so, would you consider him to still be a super high quality surgeon and a better/equal result to the very best Canada/USA/Europe options available? Sorry, just looking around and researching.
  16. You can kind of see a discolored line along his hairline, which might be suggestive of a hairpiece. i'd imagine makeup covers up any issues that there might be pretty well.
  17. Thanks, considering my situation I think Konior might be best, even despite his huge price.
  18. The hair transplant post op sheet instructed to oil the scalp with either olive oil or coconut oil on day 10 (or 12, kind of forget) and then wash off the scabs. So I imagine after that should be fine, if waiting a bit longer to do it regularly.
  19. Looks pretty good, wish you pulled your hair back and showed the recipient more like in the past videos, though. Video is pretty high quality, especially compared to any other hair transplant result videos. Are you sponsored by the clinic or something, or do you just have a nice filming setup?
  20. Not sure why you made this thread when you're just disagreeing and trying to cause an argument, but a lot of types of plastic surgery don't even have 10 GOOD surgeons/clinics, let alone great/amazing ones, so the idea that there is a bit of a quality difference between surgeon #1 and surgeon #10 isn't exactly farfetched.
  21. I've heard nothing but bad things about these, but I agree that it isn't crazy to think that the body wouldn't accept them. It's not like they have DNA and etc for you immune system to think about. Only issue I can think of is how they exit the body while most surgical stuff if all internal.
  22. I'm Australian, so I guess everyone outside of Canada pays in USD
  23. Most young balding men don't really know anything about the drugs and end up just working out a lot and trying to start a career as a personal trainer.
  24. Can't see why it would prevent a hair transplant. There was a cranioplasty related thread Realself, some surgeons recommended FUE to cover the scar, so a HT should be fine.
  25. You'd want to have it kept under control, at least before the surgery and until like 1 month after. It can be caused by testosterone/DHT due to the increased sebum production sometimes, have you tried fin or dut to see what happens?
