  1. Aderans are pretty much dead aren't they? I can't see anyone funding such a risky venture, particularly in this economic climate. Aderans' results were obviously poor hence the trials have been discontinued. As regards to donor doubling, pretty much ever doubling patient of Nigam's has failed. Either that or they appear to have disappeared and we have no idea what their results are. And yet Nigam is speaking at the World Congress for Hair Research in May. Go figure!
  2. The artistry and density in the hairline is superb, but yes, the hair at the front looks darker
  3. You can't get more than 4 days off?! If you are suspicious of colleagues wondering why you're wearing a cap, start wearing one now, before the transplant. Then when you have it, noone will suspect you are wearing the cap to cover it up.
  4. Your hair looks quality mate. Crown looks like it might be thinning however, but Rogaine and Finasteride will help with that and hopefully you will keep it intact
  5. I would be cautious about going with a doctor whose results you may not have seen and who has no independent verification. In my opinion the best bets are Erdogan and Doganay. Erdogan is a bit more expensive but both are cheaper than the North American surgeons. I wouldn't take risks. I'd pay that bit extra to know you're in good hands.
  6. Good luck mate, hope it goes well for you. I will follow your progress closely as I'm considering surgery with Dr Doganay.
  7. Quality result mate! I'm stunned how you have got such a fantastic result, covering quite a large area and achieving what appears excellent density. Are you wearing some concealer in those photos? On any medications?
  8. Superb result, Dr Keller! Its astonishing to think that a guy with pretty severe loss can get the appearance of a near full head of hair in such a modest number of grafts. The level of temporal recession looks natural and yet the hairline looks intact. Will he have enough donor left to go in again if necessary? Is he on any medication to preserve his remaining native hair?
  9. Hi doc Thanks for your post. However I'm still not sure how his donor density appears better despite having had 4203 grafts extracted. I know you consider donor density, but how does it look more dense when in the pictures before the first operation his donor looks poor? Do you use PRP to heal/regenerate the donor? Does he therefore still have a lot more grafts to extract? Thanks
  10. Hi all I am pretty new to this forum but am also thinking of going to Dr Doganay. My hairline and temples have receded and I want to get them filled in; not too drastically as I wear my hair combed forward. I think I'd need about 2000 grafts but maybe more, or less. I'm trying to pluck up the courage to book but there's a few things I'm concerned about: 1. How do you keep it from work colleagues? I'm thinking that around the time I will book off 2 weeks and hopefully get it done in the first few days, leaving about 12 days before I return to work. Is this enough time for the scabs/redness to subside? The transplant would be around my native hair so I think I could hide it quite well. Does the recipient need to be shaved as well as donor? 2. Also going through customs worries me. I think I could hide it reasonable well with concealer and my hair combed over it but this is still a bit of a worry. The problem is that if I don't shave down the whole of the back of my hair, I will have a shaved bit from which the grafts were extracted. Then if I shave my whole head I nullify the shaved donor but the shaved recipient becomes more apparent. 3. Future loss - I currently use propecia but it only seems to be slowing loss. I'm hoping I have enough donor to get further treatment as and when necessary. Sorry for the long post. Anyone share the same concerns? Thanks garethbale
  11. Great results... One question...are these results the norm or are they exceptional cases? I realise that everyone is slightly different (head shape, donor etc), but can these results be achieved by the majority of patients, as they are some of the best I have seen.
  12. That is some funky looking 'before' hair! Result looks good, though quite a lot of grafts used. Do you expect the crown hair to remain stable?
  13. I think regeneration is appearing less and less likely. Dr Mwamba seems (understandably) reluctant to comment on anything further at this stage. Of course its still early days but judging from the damming comments, failed cases (tom), and disappearance of patients it doesn't look great.
  14. Superb result for not a huge amount of grafts. Some of Dr Erdogan's results really are stunning.
  15. What do you mean 'not natural density'? Surely being denser would make it look more natural.
  16. Fantastic result, Dr Alexander. What I like is that he hasn't gone overboard in terms of the number of grafts used to fill in the front, however it looks natural, fairly easy to style and not really like he's receding too much. I presume he's got a lot more donor for any future work?
  17. Looks more norwood 2 than 3. Nice result though. he'll be okay if his native hair doesn't continue to recede
  18. Thank you Dr Feller for the wise words. May I ask a query... In your experience, is there a better result for patients who are prescribed propecia, than a generic finasteride in conjunction with undergoing hair restoration surgery. Propecia is obviously far more expensive but is there much difference between the two? Thanks
  19. Looks fantastic, and very dense! Has he had to have any more surgery for the crown or has he maintained with any medication? Would he have many more grafts for future work if needed? Thanks
  20. Unfortunately I can't see any frontal or before images, only one of the top and back of the head, post transplant
  21. At 2.15 (in the second video) it looks as if grafts have been taken from outside the safe zone. Can you confirm?
