You have doctored the photo. It's not even a debate. Even with your disingenuous photo shopping the picture looks infinitely better than any strip scar I have seen. An Utter fail on your behalf. Let's see your head shaved short so people can measure the scars left by both techniques. That's right. You can't shave it down as your an FUT patient

That will also never happen because your an FUT patient and you CANT shave it without obvious scars on display. Which is the Crux of this matter and the point in question

For the benefit of interested posters I posted this on another thread. My head a few days after being shaved unguarded . After 6000 FUE and 3 surgeries. Picture taken inches away. There is no comparison than if i had even the best possible FUT scar which cannot be predicted in advance how it will heal or ultimately stretch. This is an example of being able to 'Shave it off'. And total freedom to sport the hair as close as desired.

Good to see some unbiased information from one of the worlds most respected clinics. Hasson & Wong. Starting to see some impressive FUE work from them

Can you say who your clinic was? You say they were recommended? Sorry to hear the outcome was less than optimal. Unfortunately no matter how much certain Clinics bleat on about FUT being a gold standard for hair transplantation and painting a Picture only FUE has sub par outcomes this is just not the case. There are No guarantees with either . On a more positive note . Another procedure if successful should improve your situation a lot. You may want to consider other clinics

I would say it looks bit weak for 3500 grafts. Did you have FUT and FUE? You had a big area to cover. You are looking at probably 7000 grafts to get decent coverage on that area

Everything being posted here by Feller and Bloxham is just their OPINION. Its just noise backed up with nothing to suit their clinics agenda. As someone said we are back to 2015 with endless marketing and propaganda videos designed to drum up business. Referencing studies by other individual Dr's who favour a FUT technique means nothing. Dr Feller does not perform large scale FUE. Its a simple as that. A large part of the outcome of a successful procedure comes down to the surgeons skill which he must not have. Otherwise he would be doing it. There are countless large scale FUE results patient posted online and otherwise by Lorenzo, Erdogen , Bisanga, Feriduni , Vories etc etc The message to prospective patients is research patient posted results. , view patients results in person. The proof is in the pudding. Don't listen to any single voice online. Personally i agree with the statement FUT will yield slightly more but by that a small margin.. Most people will happily sacrifice that for the added benefits of not having a FUT scar and the limitations and risk that come with that. And i agree that a high norwood with an appropriate Donor situation may well be best suited to FUT. Whats not being mentioned is there no guarantees with either technique and there are risks of poor growth with both FUE and FUT. With FUT you lose the walk away option. You can never shave your hair down short if things go awry or your loss out strips your donor or budget. Well you can if you want an ear to ear scar on display and to be branded a public HT failure. What i cannot agree here with is the complete hatchet job Dr Feller paints on the FUE technique. Ive consulted with various FUE & FUT DR's. They are laughing at his posts and have no interest in becoming embroiled in a childlish debate on a forum. They are too busy with bookings. Btw still waiting on all of those MFUE results.

I was on it for couple years around 10 years ago. And stopped it as I noticed mild sides. Every drug has side effects. The % of people who get mild side affects is far higher than official stats IMO. Most quietly tolerate it or don't connect the two / don't really notice that much to bother. I came off due to long term risks of taking for life

Never been a problem for me after my procedures. I think its more noticeable if you are totally bald in an area and then return to work with hair where once there was none. What i would advise is get a really close haircut BEFORE you leave work for your transplant. Go to maybe grade 5 or 6 all over. Everyone is then used to your new short look. Take 2-3 weeks off for your surgery and have it at the start of your leave. Thats what i did and when i came back no one batted an eye lid and had no signs of surgery couple of weeks later. It just appeared i had a short hair cut like i had before i left. By the time the shedding kicks in your normal hair will have grown back a little. In the first couple of months i recommend keeping short anyway until the growth kicks in. I had FUE in each case. Some Dr's do unshaven FUE however i think shaving make the process easier for the Dr.

Personally it was libido sides. Reduced watery semen.. Lack of morning wood.. As soon as i noticed that i ditched it. Taking that kind of medication for life with possibly libido risks was never something i was going to sign up too. Would rather buzz it down short and get a FUE to frame face. Finasteride was a waste of time for me anyway i felt. My loss pattern had pretty much established. The rest of my hair was and still is robust and I'm nearly 40.. You need to weigh it all up to your individual situation. I don't concur that everyone needs to be on meds getting a HT. However those that are younger and still have a lot of hair when getting a HT i can see how it makes sense to them.

The answer in my case is no. With my first FUE 6 years ago. I guess the answer to this is very individual and depends totally on your loss pattern and how aggressive your MPB is. My loss was isolated with high lateral humps and strong donor with only frontal third and small crown area to address. I tried finasteride years ago. Noticed sides and did not want to be any medication long term. Minoxidil was a waste of time for me and just irritated my scalp. My opinion is meds are not a prerequisite to HT surgery but it completely depends on your loss pattern. Either way your loss needs to be established and stabilised going in to HT surgery.

Congrats man on getting the temples closed.. Should be an awesome result and look forward to following your result.. On the hair dye point be sure to steer clear of Just for men or anything like that.. Super harsh on the scalp. The womens L'Oreal excellence range is really good.. Cheaper and comes with conditioner and hair serum protecter to apply before applying the colour.. Far less harsh on the scalp.. I use it each month after a cut to dye my sides as the grey only comes through there which dosent look that natural.. With the top of my hair all being very dark due to being transplanted!

I don't think anyones being nasty on this thread. If Seagal was a member here and not a celebrity granted the tone of thread would prob be a bit different. Lets face it he aint reading this. If i was sporting a look like he is at the moment. I know id appreciate a good friend saying that i looked ridiculous and had a bag of shit on my head.. Thats what friends do as they don't want to see you look a fool.. I think thats probably the message coming through on the thread.. We would all be the first to compliment him if he had a good situation going on like we do other celebs like Matthew Mcconaughey etc.

Interesting topic. Ive suspected clinics have been doing this frequently. Charging for a couple of hundred extra here and there. I think it happened on my procedures as i did some counting post op also. Didn't raise it though. Very hard to prove.

I think Best has had more than 3 procedures. I think it's around 4. I recall his first one with Ailsbury clinic was totally unsuccessful so he must have wasted some grafts there. I think he keeps his sides super short to disguise all the punch marks

Slightly off topic.. Just wanted to say RIP George Michael.. A huge fan of his music and voice hence my avatar i've used.. Also always thought he had amazing hair naturally with a great look too.! Always considered him an Icon and one of the most talented artists with Amazing talent. RIP

Yep I think we're thinking of one the same clinics. I have a lot of respect for the Dr who is super ethical and stands by the work always . However some where in their process is a problem and way too many guys are needing touch ups and wasting grafts in the process. I know from speaking to a lot offline too who don't post about it. Really hope They sort it out. Historically they have been a good clinic .

One topic i feel that dosen't get addressed sufficiently on forums is the sheer number of sub par results and the number of procedures from all clinics that require 'touch ups'. Based on vast experience of years online and speaking to many patients. I discovered a huge number of patients out there who have needed 'touch ups' post their procedures. However a lot don't necessarily share this online. A lot of the times keeping the clinic 'on side' for the free repair or touch up. Just my main observation of something that is not reflected in the online forum world.

Agreed there should be more discussion for purposes of balance. I personally don't think Meds are suitable or appropriate for everyone. Once you get on Fin you don't really know 100% if its working and just assume its working where as who really knows what level norwood you would progress too? And suddenly you are locked in for life due to the 'risk' of coming off it and losing hair. But would you really.? I don't think either worked for me so ditched them early on. My loss area was not small but fairly isolated with high lateral humps so have replaced that area accordingly. Rest of my hair looks robust and no sign of thinning. For me personally i am gladly staying away from 'Meds'. And i personally don't think they are mandatory for everyone.

Very interested also and chiming in here so I'll be notified on thread . Like hrsp I'm considering Lupanzula for some temple work. I need to see some patient documented experiences in order to feel fully comfortable. Let's be honest all clinics can cherry pick and make it seem like they hit a home run each time. We know that's not reality. Anyone know if lupanzulas patient threads exist on another forum perhaps?
