  1. What is the price per FUE graft with Dr Diep? I
  2. Joe, 1). When did you leave Rahal? 2). What was the reason for leaving Rahal after such a brief period with the clinic? 3). As a "free agent" do you have an idea who you anticipate working with in the future? I think more photos would be beneficial for all, however given the photos that were provided I think the results are still lacking in my opinion.
  3. Vories & Diep. I would think there may be others as it seems to produce the best results.
  4. Looking at Dr Diep's work and video results the are quite impressive. I think "Ready's" question was pretty transparent. Why doesn't Dr. Diep get more credit which based on his FUE RESULTS he deserves. I think pup pointed pointed out some stellar points about some of the reasons we aren't seeing more attention and notoriety given to Diep's work. He certainly should be mentioned with the top tier FUE surgeons. There could be an even stronger case for him being a top FUE doc in the US. As most of the top FUE clinics are in Europe at the moment Diep could prove to be an excellent option for US patients unable to travel great lengths. One downside for me is I find the pricing structure a bit odd and quite expensive compared to the other top clinics. Let's hope we can get some more patient and clinic postings as Dr Diep FUE work continues to impress.........
  5. The should be analyzed for what it is and that is an awful results. What factor do meds play in the DHT resistant 5400 grafts that this patient received? They should all be in tact and based on his loss should cover a good portion of this patients scalp. We certainly don't see that with this result. Let's try and stop looking for excuses as to why this wasn't a successful tranplant. This idea that he should go to the clinic and take them up on the free touch up? Are you guys serious? He first needs to reconcile this issue with the clinic then do extensive research on his repair options before quickly jumping into another procedure that he may regret..... What are 1000-1500 grafts gonna do if 5400 did very little? "Created by and for patients"
  6. Interesting. I wonder if this will have the same potential benefits as the 2% shampoo? Here is some additional info & ingredients on the foam; Extina (ketoconazole foam, 2%) Foam contains 2% ketoconazole USP, an antifungal agent, in a thermolabile hydroethanolic foam for topical application. The chemical name for ketoconazole is piperazine, 1-acetyl-4-[4-[[2-(2,4-dichlorophenyl) -2-(1H-imidazol-1-ylmethyl)-1,3-dioxolan-4-yl]methoxy]phenyl]-, cis- with the molecular formula C26H28Cl2N4O4 and a molecular weight of 531.43. The following is the chemical structure: Extina (ketoconazole foam, 2%) Foam contains 20 mg ketoconazole USP per gram in a thermolabile hydroethanolic foam vehicle consisting of cetyl alcohol NF, citric acid USP, ethanol (denatured with tert-butyl alcohol and brucine sulfate) 58%, polysorbate 60 NF, potassium citrate USP, propylene glycol USP, purified water USP, and stearyl alcohol NF pressurized with a hydrocarbon (propane/butane) propellant.
  7. KO is Lorenzo's FUE prices cheaper than US docs? I was always under the impression that he was the most expensive?
  8. Thanks Dr. Vories. The work looks good and we look forward to your updates.
  9. It certainly appears that there are multiple patients per day and a high turnover ratio among the techs based on previous postings. let's hope this isn't a reoccurring theme among the top clinics who seem to be in high demand. I would rather these clinics that are in high demand increase prices and only see one patient per day to ensure better quality control & results. This opinion may not be popular for some because of the economics but what is the point of a 5000 graft procedure if it ends up looking like this? Go back to the same clinic to tap out his donor for a transparent frontal 1/3 & bald crown less $35K. Let's hope this patient gets sorted out.
  10. Dr Vories does this patient have any more donor reserves if future touch up or additional procedure is needed? What is the "average"donor capacity for your FUE procedures? I assume this patient had good donor qualities based on the 7000K scalp grafts thus far? The results looks good so far. Looking forward to future updates.
  11. Sean I totally agree with you on this. 5000 grafts is significant and the frontal 1/3 should be covered With reasonable density. This result shows nearly a see through effect. I echo Sean's statement and if this is what potential patients have to look forward to after 5000 grafts then what is point? Going through all the emotional and financial pressures, as if the transplant alone isn't stressful enough? I do applaud sites like this one that try to help shed some transparency on the industry as we all know it is needed and long due. If you are going to go down the road of a repair via FUE turkey/India may be worth looking into as Sean noted. If the procedure doesn't meet your expectations you aren't out another $10K- $15K. If patients are going to spend the kind of money required to book a procedure with some of the higher regarded surgeons I think the least they can do is stand behind their work. Instead what we are typically seeing is the clinics offering a minor repair if things don't go as anticipated? In what other industry other than cosmetic surgery is this even plausible? The clinics as well as the ones supporting the clinic ( we are all aware who those are)will be quick to look for a reasons as to why things didn't turn out I.e lack of meds, loss of native hair, family history etc... A free repair including transportation costs should be offered without any hesitation In my opinion given that more photos are submitted.
  12. I would consider another FUE extraction method as they are far superior in my experience.
  13. 1966kph when do you go back to FIN? Is it safe to take while wife is pregnant or did you wait until after birth? I have read some conflicting reports and even the doctors I have consulted seem to have differing views on this topic.
  14. Janna, Do you know what Wings donor capacity is & how many more FUE procedures he may be able to do in the event he needs additional work or a touch up? Does SMG implement the use of BHT once the donor is depleted? The hairline results look really impressive!
  15. Nice results. How many grafts do you have left for future FUE procedures? What was your history with meds on the two previous procedures did you not take FIN until this most recent touch up? Best of luck hairline looks great!
  16. What type of extraction method was used for this FUE procedure?
  17. Matt So I assume taking only the 1 mg propecia/proscar has effectively gotten rid of all your side effects? Did you find take 1 MG once per week was more effective in eliminating your sides than the .25 mg EOD? Do you think the 1 mg/week is still having a positive effect on the stabilization of your hair loss? Thanks
  18. Matt1978. Does the low dose of 1 mg of propecia per week keep your hair loss stable. I had to stop use due to sides and have considered trying an extremely small dose. I would be interested to hear how the small dose works for you and what lead you to incorporate such a small dosing into your hair loss treatments. Appreciate your feedback.
  19. I wanted to get some feedback and opinions on who/why they feel are the best and most consistent FUE surgeons in the United States. As we have recently see the trend of this forum feel the top FUE surgeons reside in Europe/Eurasia. Based on the results of Lorenzo, Bisanaga, etc.. one could see why they have such a strong following. I wanted to see what the current thoughts are on the top U.S. FUE surgeons for those who don't have the ability to travel great lengths. A lot of patients don't have the ability to travel for a variety of circumstances. It is typically not recommended to let travel sway your decision making process in regards to a hair transplant. It is often not always pratical to travel outside the country you reside in for a variety of reasons and that is why we could use more solid FUE options here in the U.S. I think FUE is gaining a huge following and become increasingly popular in the last few years and my hopes are that more U.S. clinics will continue to follow this trend. It would be welcoming if some of these top U.S surgeons start implementing some of the FUE techniques (results) of Lorenzo (manual FUE), as well as some of the top Turkish surgeons.
  20. Mickey great read very informative. Who do you feel currently is the top FUE doc in the U.S.?
  21. Nowsthetime9 how did things go in regards to the one year post op with SMG? I would be interested to hear what their take was on your one year results. Are you still planning on another FUE procedure in Turkey. If so I wish you the best of luck and I hope you get the results you are seeking. All of you posts have been a considerable help and they are appreciated. If you prefer to send a pm I totally understand.
  22. I agree. Any input or information could be of great benefit to other forum members experiencing these same types of issues.
  23. Thanks for updating your progress. It does appear that the left side is really lacking any density. As several have now stated the Artas seems to be producing mediocre and inconsistent results based on the recent postings. Please keep us posted on your 1 year post op eval. We would like to hear what SMG thinks about your result. Dr Erdogan has been producing some fantastic FUE results. You should be in good hands with either one of the docs that you mentioned. Best of luck in getting the results you are seeking.
