  1. Dr Feller, Sean and I share some of the same concerns regarding donor availability via FUE method . On an average patient with a virgin scalp how many FUE grafts would you say are available before the donor appears moth eaten or becomes too thin? You stated that 10,000 grafts seemed high which I tend to agree with. What number would you feel comfortable with assuming for the moment that only FUE is available method to the patient? Thanks
  2. Thanks Dr Feller for your detailed response. 1. Do you feel that Manual FUE (not Manual with a motorized punch as some clinics use and claim to be Manual) is the superior extraction method for FUE procedures given your experience. 2. What is your opinion on average lifetime available donor grafts for an FUE procedure(s). 3. Why is donor supply a number that varies so much even when consulting with some of the the top hair transplant physicians who use similar FUE methods. I have been told I have as many as 10,000 avaible grafts by one clinic and as little 5000 available donor grafts by another? What gives as this is a pretty dramatic difference. I appreciate all your feedback.
  3. Dr Feller & Blake is it possible to get some clarity Quote: 2014, Dr Feller actually does quite a bit of FUE. Generally around 2 cases a week. He's also been doing it for 14 years. He's also invented FUE devices, new techniques, etc Dr Feller or Blake can you address these questions. 1. Is it possible for you or Dr Feller to provide some FUE results? Is Dr Feller still performing 2 cases per week? I still have a hard time find many results (on any forums) based on my extended research. Also if you could include some larger cases that would be even better (2500-5000) graft FUE results from Dr. Feller. Just one larger case would be great to FINALLY view. 2. Dr Feller can you comment on how many FUE cases have you personally performed? Based Blake's information provided from 2014 and given holidays sick days etc. you would be performing 75-90 FUE cases per year? Is that figure accurate? 3. MFUE is there any results or updates that you could please post. Extraction sites etc.. Thanks,
  4. Johnny2000, Try and relax. Dr Lorenzo is one of the top & many feel the best FUE surgeon in the entire world. I understand your concerns given your last experience but I think you will be fine. Good luck with your procedure.
  5. Recent additions to add; FUE Gordan Ramsey (allegedly) https://www.google.com/search?q=gordon+ramsay+hair+transplant&biw=1067&bih=526&tbm=isch&imgil=5lPIZy08ch5wFM FUE Chris Gronkowski (pro football player Rob "Gronk" Gronkowski's brother) FUE Jason Gardiner (famous TV judge)
  6. This chart sums up in all these arguments a nutshell given the title of the thread. The rest is just theories and pure conjecture regardless of what side of the fence one is on. It appears that barring some MAJOR setback FUE will surpass FUT in popularity. Any statements suggesting FUT is by far more popular is inaccurate based on ISHRS data.
  7. I agree Seth. As I said to Dr. Feller directly, his comments hit home and maybe in his mind he didn't feel it was so offensive. Regardless of how anyone feels about Dr. Feller he has a wealth of knowledge and clinical experience and he is willing to share it on a public forum. That in itself is very brave and I do commend you for that. Let try move on from any of these personal attacks as Seth suggested.
  8. Dr Feller, I have no idea what happened with this behind the scenes but the below thread is one of the examples I was referencing that you termed another lie (still confused where any lies came from as they were direct quotes). As a prospective patient it was a bit alarming but to be frank & fair I have no idea what went on behind the scenes other than what was posted. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/163670-dr-feller-proposing-sue-me-my-comments-htn-my-response.html
  9. Dr Feller, I have never been directly offensive to you at all until reading the comments that were insensitive and hit home when you made you comments in thread #1053. If I was trying to be sneaky which I was not then I wouldn't have shown the two quotes that I sent when questioned from Mav? Makes no sense and I have no vested interest in any of this debate at all. Again I sent a direct quote of what was said in thread #1053 and I don't feel that I was being sneaky any any means. If nothing else maybe not savvy with how I quoted Dr Bhatti's post originally with the two words that were used. Even if this claim of yours of me being "sneaky" was viable you said the words that we have all referenced now many times. I think I may made my point clear now several times. This back and forth semantics argument you seem to be presenting isn't productive to anyone so lets move on.
  10. Dr Feller, #1053 was a direct quote from you. That is black & white. Well I do find it and you to be extremely offensive an unprofessional and can't imagine many disagreeing with my statement. My brother has a learning disability, as well as my sister have being a special education teacher for over 15 years now. If you empathized and understood what they are dealing with on a day to day basis I would hope you wouldn't continue make light of it. Lets not try and use your hometown (Brooklyn) as an excuse to make this more socially acceptable. I don't think this is something that you are going to get a lot of support on regardless of the location worldwide or even in your hometown.
  11. Mav, Respectfully I have to disagree. This isn't the reality show where all publicity good or bad is considered a good thing. If there weren't several world class physicians to choose from (FUT or FUE) it may be a different debate.
  12. No intention to be sneaky whatsoever, regardless of how you interpret my post. Again he is your direct quote; #1053 Feel free to answer the other questions I have asked several times now. We are all looking forward to those answers.
  13. Of course he did. If he didn't he would threaten litigation as he has in the past with his unhappy patient(s). This has happened in the past when his patients results were poor and they presented them to the forums. That is what I look for in a physician when things don't work out! Pardon the sarcasm. Class act....
  14. Lileli, Here is the exact quote from Dr. Feller you were curious about (1053) As I suggested earlier an insensitive and classless choice of words by Dr. Feller which seems to be the norm. Also it is apparent that again he simply glossed over the specific questions that I asked him; 1. What is the size of the mFue (mFUT) punch? 2. Why misrepresent this as FUE level scarring when in fact the punch on the video is significantly large than ANY FUE punch. A fallacious and inaccurate way to promote this new procedure. 3. I find it disconcerting that your own patient rep Spex clearly disagrees with you in regards to FUE yield. He has stated during several consultations for prospective Dr F. patients that the FUE vs FUT yield is equivalent. You suggested you thought nothing of it? Any reason why you and you patient rep aren't on the same page? Seems odd? As many have suggested including the well respected Dr Bhatti this is all in an effort to promote & market this new procedure. He clearly isn't willing to discuss the specifics of the procedure only vague replies and misdirection?
  15. Dr Bhatti has nailed this on the head with his last post, to the point that he doesn't need to dignify any more responses in my personal opinion. This is no conspiracy at all, as Dr Bhatti is intuitive enough to see the motives at play here. The is all a marketing agenda for Feller/Bloxham and has been since day one. Blake has done a compete 180 and changed his views almost overnight since joining the clinic. Simply look back in the forum archives and the evidence is clearly there. Any experienced forum member is well aware who has followed Blake on the forums over the last several years what has happened. No more marveling at all the great FUE results. Those same FUE cases are suddenly & oddly being bashed? Dr Feller bashes FUE yet is promoting mFUE which clearly will involve larger scarring as staples or sutures will needed to used. A gross misrepresentation by Dr's Feller/Bloxham/Lindsey to even imply that the level of scarring would be comparable to FUE scarring. Again why haven't they EVER answered the simple question of the punch size for their mFUE procedure? ( which should be called mFUT as most have suggested if it gets off the ground). They spend endless hours on the forums but they can't take the time to measure the size of the punch their clinics used/using for this new procedure? Really? No one else questions this?!? Even if patient was interested in FUT (clearly FUE has become more popular as ISHRS has proven) than based on this thread alone and the way Dr Feller has handled himself who would ever consider him for a procedure of any kid? I personally would rather go bald than to have to interact with this pugnacious man. This suggestion of Dr Fellers that forum members have "learning disabilities" is disgusting and disgraceful. A new all time low even for Dr. Feller. You are well on your way to becoming the next Dr. Jan Seski with those types of comments. 52,870 views & counting
  16. Dr Feller & Dr Bloxham (either one will suffice) I have several questions (requests) that I would like you to respond to. I have asked previously and they have all been ignored. This is the second post and based on your continued contribution to this thread I would very much appreciate of you would take the time to answer. I feel these are reasonable requests that EVERY prospective patient should be considering during a consultation. 1. What is the surgical protocol for FUE at Feller/Bloxham Extractions carried out by; Extraction Device; Incisions; Implantation; Avg Number of grafts placed in patient per day; Avg number of patients operated per day; 2. Please describe the surgical protocol at the clinic for mFUE (anticipated if more applicable). 3. Please post some FUE results from Dr Feller. It was suggested that Dr. Feller carries out 70-80 FUE case per year but I haven't been able to locate any. Please include some larger FUE results 2000-4000 graft cases. If you could just post to this thread that would make it convenient for the many followers. 4. What is the pricing structure for mFUE? 5. I find it very disconcerting that the patient rep for the clinic Spex clearly disagrees with Dr. Feller's assessment of FUE yield. Dr Feller your response was something along the lines that you don't think much of it? If you could please elaborate on this please. I would think the patient rep and the doctor being represented would share comparable views on the topic. If they didn't then it would be assumed that their relationship wouldn't be mutually beneficial? Maybe Spex could chime in on this as I think several posters have made similar inquires. It is a shame that Dr Bhatti has chosen not to contribute any further. Hopefully Dr. Vories will continue to contribute as he is one of the top FUE surgeons in North America and his opinions and experiences should be considered. His FUE results speak for themselves.
  17. "My main concern however, is with the name of the procedure. Maybe that sounds trivial because at the end of the day, it's just a name. But like "scar5" said on the mFUE topic, the only real resemblance this procedure has to FUE is that a punch is used to harvest the follicles. In FUE, follicular units are harvested one by one. This is not the case here." Bill this is a great point as many have stated MFUT makes more sense. I think this is a strategic marketing as the clinic like many others in the industry are well aware of the popularity of FUE at this juncture. Dr Feller & Dr Bloxham I have several questions (requests) that I would like you to respond to. I have asked previously and they have all been ignored. 1. What is the surgical protocol for FUE at Feller/Bloxham Extractions carried out by; Extraction Device; Incisions; Implantation; Avg Number of grafts placed in patient per day; 2. Please describe the surgical protocol at the clinic for mFUE (anticipated if more applicable). 3. Please post some FUE results from Dr Feller. Dr Feller your response was something along the lines that you don't think much of it? If you could please elaborate on this please. I would think the patient rep and the doctor being represented would share comparable views on the topic. This is as been a very informative thread. My hopes are that Dr Bhatti & Dr Feller continue to contribute and educate prospective patients.
  18. Blake, Understand. I missed that post from Dr. Feller. If you could please comment on the FUE protocol for Dr. Feller. Does he does all the work himself i.e. extractions, incisions, & implantation?
  19. It absolutely is cheaper to run an FUE clinic. More profitable as well. Even with low graft prices. So why the need to charge 20-60% more than the rest of the top surgeons (elite U.S FUE $4-$6) especially given that your margins are much higher than with FUT procedures?
  20. Blake you have stated on several ocassions that you felt it is cheaper to run an FUE clinic than a FUT clinic? If that is the case then why does Dr. Feller charge this amount for his FUE procedures? I would think he would charge significantly less for FUE than FUT based on this economic model you have described in past posts? I am not sure what you consider to be "other well establish U.S. HT clinics" but Dr. Fellers FUE rates are clearly not consistent with the other top FUE surgeons in the U.S. His prices aren't even close even if one were to argue his results are comparable or on par with these FUE surgeons; Dr. Vories-$4/graft (moving to $5 graft) Dr. Diep-$6/graft Dr Shapiro (s)-$6/graft Dr. Konior-$8/graft (last time I inquired) Dr. C***- $6/graft (shaven) $8 graft (unshaven) Dr. Feller-$10/graft I am looking forward to Dr. Fellers FUE results being posted. I have always been impressed with his FUT work.
  21. Blake, Blake, 1. Is it possible for you or Dr Feller to provide some FUE results? If Dr Feller is performing 2 cases per week it shouldn't be an issue, however I have a hard time find many results (on any forums) based on my extended research. Also if you could include some larger cases that would be even better (2500-5000) graft FUE results from Dr. Feller. 2. Can you comment on the FUE pricing structure for Dr. Feller. I personally feel that $10/graft is excessive even in the U.S. where the prices tend to be inflated. Is there a reason why the clinic charges 40% more than some of the other top U.S. clinics & 60-80% more than top international clinics? Is there additional costs associated with working out of NY that cause such massive increase? 3. Blake how many FUE cases have you personally performed? Based your information provided and given holidays sick days etc. Dr. Feller is performing 75-90 FUE cases per year? Is that figure accurate? 4. Can you comment of the pricing structure for the MFUE procedures? I appreciate all your feedback.
