  1. I just thought it was funny that he has trademarked FUE.
  2. Yep, there is a significant risk of shockloss, especially without finasteride. I don't think you would be a good candidate. Since you still have the hairline intact, maybe buzzing it down could be a good option.
  3. It should be fine if you're wearing a hat. But continue to monitor to make sure you don't get sunburned.
  4. I don't think there are significant differences among the best surgeons.
  5. Just keep gently/firmly massaging. You have to work to soften the scabs by pressing them when they are moist and keep massaging till they come off. When you're washing dishes, how do you get persistent stains out? Same concept
  6. Dr Jones is a pioneer in FUE, but I haven't seen many results from him. Cam Simmons is good at FUT, but for FUE I would look outside Canada.
  7. Yeah, I thought he looked better before. He looks a little bit like the guy who played Neville Longbottom (with similar temporal recession too).
  8. I had something similar although the buildup was dark and my doctor said it was edema and normal. I would massage scalp though gently with fingertips.
  9. Good call. Only go when you are 100% comfortable.
  10. Great video. Good to see doctors weighing in. Also interesting that Feller advocates treating with topical steroids. I don't think everybody does that. Some doctors just do the "wait and see if it grows".
  11. Cool, good luck. Nice to see a FUT result from Feriduni.
  12. It can definitely happen. I'm sure you will find cases like these on the forums.
  13. They don't. It is an educated guess. In some cases even the "safe" donor zone can thin after a few years.
  14. Wesley apparently doesn't require patients to shave.
  15. Have you tried the foam? I developed redness, flaking etc with the liquid, foam treats me well though.
  16. FUE only for you, given how short you wear your hair. Granted they could take the strip pretty high like Hasson, but why risk it? I would consider the European FUE doctors over Mexico or Turkey...
  17. If you're not comfortable with Nadimi, definitely consider Shapiro. You seem to have fairly thick hair and a confined balding pattern, so aesthetically it may look very good. The concern is how the balding pattern will develop over the rest of the hair, but you only live once...
  18. The idea is to avoid sunburn. So I would guess, unless you get burned in 5 min, you should be fine...You could also just take one of those swimming caps.
  19. Hey all. I'm about 4M postop and have uploaded my 3 and 3.5M photos. You can see the sides freshly buzzed with a No. 2 guard. So in case you were wondering what scarring looks like after 3K grafts, I don't note cosmetic scarring, just the expected depletion of the donor area. On top, I currently see the outline of a hairline forming, which is good. I can feel a lot of "tree stump" like hairs and an occasional deep pimple, which I tend to leave as is instead of popping. But other than that still early days.
  20. Hey all, I might post some photos but overall, nothing much has changed in Month 3, but I do note a bunch of "tree stump" hairs. What's also interesting is that some of the hairs on my scalp aren't tapered in the usual way. Normally miniaturized hair tapers away from the thickest point at the root into the tip, whereas here, some of my hairs have a bulb-like thickness at the tip, followed by a thin shaft. I'll see if I can get some of those. As an aside, even though I'm balder now than before the op, and I'm still in my ugly duckling, I just don't think as much about my hair. Maybe it's because I feel I've done all that I can, but it's a big change from before. I've been buzzing my sides shorter than before, which helps a lot, and obviously is a big advantage for FUE.
