  1. thanks, will take a look but would still like to know if there's any official data showing topical fin is as effective as oral
  2. Hi Long term minox and fin user but has always been minox as a foam or liquid, usually Target or Kirkland etc and Proscar tablets chopped into 1mg tablets. In the UK we had a company called Freshman which has now been bought out by Hims, they are selling the minox and fin 2 in 1 topical liquid but I'd like to know how effective it is? I presume the minox is just as effective as any other liquid minox but how much of the fin will be absorbed topically compared to orally? Will my intake via the back of my head give me 1mg of fin as if I were taking a tablet? If it's less effective then do we know how much mg of fin I am absorbing? Also is there likely to be a period of shedding changing from my current regime to a new one? solution is 0.05% fin and 5% minox Thanks
  3. Just got out of the swimming pool when pic was taken!
  4. Hi My HT journey started 15 years ago with FUT for some eyebrows. Obviously way before this forum or much other info online so it was a bit of a gamble In the passing years I’ve had FUE twice (3000 grafts and a top up) and now have a full head of hair. However I’d like to top my eyebrows up with FUE. I probably need about 100 each side and I am happy to pay the going rate of around 3 to 5 £/$/€ per graft. The trouble is most reputable surgeons won’t be interested in a half day op that only generates around $1000. Any ideas of who I might approach. Worldwide travel is not an issue. thanks
  5. Would Lumigan work if the eyebrows have been created due to an FUE procedure? Or is it only going to work in native eyebrow hair?
  6. I would clarify how much better these rates are locally? Presuming you have paid a deposit I am guessing you may have around ?6k to change over. Do you really want to be walking through bazaar's to find a good rate and then producing a big wedge of cash as onlookers see you change it then shove it back in your bag? There are many messages on here from people worried about taking the money overseas and getting safely to the clinic with it - im not sure I'd want to add the risk of walking around town with it. Maybe, I am being over cautious but I think you should only consider doing this if you have a massive conversion advantage to make by doing it locally.
  7. Thanks for this update. I think you hair looks great and at your age I woudnt have a transplant now, rather keep your donor bank for a future day. If you need it in the future you will be gutted that you used it on a top up just to find a little bit more perfection. On this point... "Density - day to day this looks fine when my hair is styled, but I do notice it looking like it’s thinning a little if I’m under harsh light (like those little recessed ceiling spot lights). " I am nearly at month 8 and find this too. I can see my scalp now under the same harsh light you describe in areas where I am sure I couldnt before the op. So like the top centre of my head I now see scalp in certain lights, more so when my hair is wet. Of course in the recipient area I see more scalp under harsh lights, I am hoping this gets a bit less as times goes on.
  8. Makes sense if you are intending on having a second procedure though from your latest pics I dont think you need one!
  9. 18 years!!! I trust you mean months lol Any tips for the wiry hair regarding styling? Do fibres work well on wiry hair? I’m finding that if I use a soft wax or putty I can bind a few wiry hairs together and it gives an appearance of more normal looking hair.
  10. 2 years - wow a long way to go then. I’m very happy so far just wish I could fast forward my hair 18 months ahead. Hopefully by choosing Dr Koray and paying a premium over many of the other Turkish options I have negated the risk of damage from inexperienced or less qualified practitioners and that things will be ok. Just a big waiting game.....
  11. Thanks. A bit of reassurance is always good! Yes, Asmed said at the op that the final result would be 18 months away and it just seems to be going so slow. I pretty much wrote this summer off and tried to stay out of the sun and away from social gatherings. But now with some careful styling I think I can get away without people noticing or maybe they are just too polite to say!
  12. Ok, so the word would be wiry in this context. I just appreciate this forum is read internationally and wasn’t sure wiry would be the right word - it doesn’t even look like it’s spelt right! But wirey looks wrong also!
  13. Hi I’m at month 7 after 3200 at Asmed and feel things are going ok - of course it’s painfully slow but hopeful of an eventual good result. The front inch of my hair is a completely different texture to the rest, it’s wiry and wispy, I understand this is quite normal and have seen other results with this wiry hair. I’m just curious how long it takes for the transplanted hair to come through to match the rest of your head and no longer look different? I presume the first cycle comes through wispy but as times goes on it comes through thicker? Thanks
