  1. I don't have the prescribing info sheet on me, but if you go to the propecia.com website it has it. It's in the Info for Doctors section. But rest assured, both fin and dut raise T levels. I'm not sure whether follicles in the horseshoe have DHT, I think they do....but I suspect they simply are not as sensitive. REmember though, even the "safe zone" can thin out little by little, so it's not totally immune.
  2. A-class dudes are good candidates because of a simple reason - they are not "as bald as they look". Basically their hair loss is concentrated towards the front, which balds at an early age and becomes shiny, whereas the rest of their hair stays strong. I think the key to good HT candidacy more so than NW level is - whether you have high sides or not. If you have high sides, I think you are usually a good candidate.
  3. Quite the opposite actually. Men on finasteride have 10% HIGHER testosterone. On dutasteride higher still. Look at the prescribing information for propecia. It is believed that hairloss is caused by sensitivity to the DHT that is in the hair follicle, rather than simply high DHT levels. Check out the HairDX people, and the research they cite. Pretty interesting.
  4. You don't look like you're balding. Or maybe I just have low standards.
  5. Hey out of curiosity, do you have a weblog showing your HT? Just curious (I'm also another young guy like the OP).
  6. This is the problem with the people who cry about fin sides. This young man needed/needs to be on fin but is scared away by the 5% of people who got sides. Despite not getting them himself. More to the point - get on proscar, and perhaps even get on dut. If you're serious about hair loss, you need to be taking this stuff. Anyways, you're a young guy at student age, maybe decreased libido is not a bad thing.
  7. Dude I think you should wait. If you can barely scrounge together 10k to pay for an HT, then it's not for you. It's expensive and a life time commitment. I would say, take the cost that the clinic (Rahal or other) gives, and save 5k extra on top of that. Dr Rahal has done some great results, but if you're just coming on a forum and asking, "I have 10k, where should I get an HT". You haven't done enough research. Research for about a year before you get your head cut open. Also, meds really are a must.
  8. Beautiful. Great work by Dr R and congrats to you sir! Was your donor density well above average?
  9. Looks solid for 3 mos, also how old are you?
  10. Any updates sir? Definitely following your case with interest. Same age, type of hair loss etc.
