  1. I'm reducing to 0.5 every other day. Spontaneous, night and morning erections are important for penile health. We need them to deliver oxygenated blood and I enjoy them. I hope this solves it and is an effective enough regimen.
  2. So having started on 1mg fin two weeks ago and having experienced blue balls and finally come through it the last few days I've noticed one more thing. My morning boner is awol! I can still get an erection no problem and don't perceive any libido problems. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Did it go or did other symptoms develop? Should I persist, cut my dose or just dump it? I don't want morning wood issues today which turn into ed problems tomorrow. Any doctor input would be valuable too!
  3. solid 1 mg a day, every other day or 0.5mg a day? or any other combo been on fin 1 mg for 10 days, slight ball ache (may be psychological - have been reading propeciahelp :-O) and considering 0.5 mg, or oevery other day? if you have a modified regime can you let us know why?
  4. Hello, I started taking Finpecia 1 week ago. In the first few days I had a bit of testicular pain which subsided after 2 days. I have had no ED but a probable reduction in ejaculate. But whats really bugging me is my face is so god damn oily in the last 3 days. normally i have to moisturise after washing my face, but now 2-3 hours after im all greasy. i'm really worried about having that reflex hyperandrogenism - if anyone has any experiences or opinions on this? my libido is normal. my HT went well and looks very neat. but i did get some swelling so i don't know if it could be that forcing out some grease? unlikely i know. should i stop, continue, reduce dose or alternate days? im on 1 mg finpecia btw
  5. what do you think of this guy's work? he's not part of the network but is a big deal in india - apparently. working on celebs and such. strictly fue, has his own punch and does much of the work himself. ::India Esthetic Surgery:: Hair transplant India, Hair transplant Chandigarh, Repair hair transplant, body hair transplant, Cosmetic surgery Chandigarh, Plastic surgery Chandigarh, Aesthetic Surgery India, Hair Loss, FUE( Follicular Unit Extraction) considering a procedure from him, so opinions would be appreciated. i saw a patient of his today, the temporal and hairine construction was very good, but the blending of the transplanted and normal hair seemed a tad off. but the guy who i met had stopped taking his meds 2 years ago...
  6. Whats your guys knowledge on this? Better HT candidate? Generally less hair to lose in the long term? I am of the A variety so just clutching for any hope really!
  7. Thanks for taking the time to reply bro. I need these measured real people responses and not internet scaremongering! How did you conceal your transplant, hat, bandana or did you rock it proud? i pretty much sleep on my belly so that might help me if i do get one!
  8. Hi guys, I know there is a vast amount of information on the net but sometimes its nice to hear personal experiences. What are your experiences with strip? How was dealing with the scar? How long did it take to heal up? What did it actually feel like? What did it prevent you from doing and for how long? How long until you forgot about it? How old were you and what norwood level were you? Whats the shortest you can wear your hair, can you get away with a number 2 or 3? How long did you go walking around looking odd, ie long in the back and grafted at the front? At what point does it look like you haven't been headbutting a hedgehog and are just a normal bald guy? Are you happy with it or do you wish you'd just shaved it off and been done with it? Also, I've been reading so many stories about side effects with Fin and Minox that I'm thoroughly put off, what were your experiences? any side effects? what were they like and how long did they last for? did you start pre or post transplant? and at what norwood level and age efficacy if you have stopped meds at any point, how long was it after treatment and what were the results of this? do you wish you hadn't started? I'm really fearful of being 25 and commencing a hormone altering treatment for a long time and would prefer topicals. I'm usually quite horny and get pretty hard pretty quick for a considerable amount of time and have a feeling this will somehow make me more receptive to the side effects (based on intuition as opposed to solid biochemistry knowledge). I am contemplating trying to make my own super potion containing nutrients, aloe, some anti androgen and some stimulating ingredients if anyone has any experience with this? I'd also love to hear from anyone who is 25-30 who has had a HT and not taken Fin - what were your experiences? Was it a grave mistake? I know its a lot of questions but I'm trying to make informed decisions! Thanks a lot, this place has really been a wealth of information. Peace
  9. Hello there, I'm 25 and have been receeding slowly since I was 16. It has become more noticeable over the past two years and I can't style my way out it. I'd say I'm a Norwood 3 vertex, the vertex part being a recent addition. I have a period of about 3 months coming up before I start a new job in which will be the perfect oppurtunity for me to get a hair transplant. I'm going to be a junior doctor so after this period my chance to take a holiday longer than 2 weeks for the next 5 years won't be too great! I've been considering a HT for ages now and have got to the point where it's now or never. I know its not quite as black and white as that but thats how it feels. Also, Dermatology and Hair Loss would be a really interesting area to work in so I feel I can learn a lot by observing what is done to myself and talking to the team as they do it. I'll probably be one annoying patient. I'm sick of looking 35 when I feel 18. I was quite good looking when I had hair! I'm not depressed but I definately have less confidence and self esteem than I used to. It really annoys me when I see people look up at my hair line in mid conversation. Family history wise my dad is a norwood VII but I'm not following a similar hair loss pattern to him, he was norwood VI by my age. I'm lucky because he is willing to finance a large part of this based on his own experiences of hair loss. Most other members of my family have great sets of hair, apart from my norwood VII grandad but he is 95. I think I will need between 3000-4000 grafts. Ideally I would like FUE as I like the ole short back and sides and long on top look, I also know that my hair loss will probably get worse so a scar isn't desirable ( I am prepared to have further HT's). I hear much comment on what ideal FUE patients are like but not enough actual detail or how to roughly assess your own suitability. I understand how to check my hair laxity but is there anything quantitive I can compare it to? My hair is quite thick, black and straight. I have North Indian skin colour, quite pale brown. To be fair I look bloody green in the winter. Is 4000 over 2-3 days too much for the body to heal adequately and would strip in 1 day be better? Are the transection rates greater in higher quantity sessions? If I were to get a strip would the scar have a greater chance of widening due to my age? I know no one can tell me what to do but I'm trying to canvass as much opinion as possible before going ahead with it. I don't want to waste my dads money on FUE if the results won't be as good as a strip either. I've attached some photos. Thanks for reading! P.S. I'm not taking any meds, the side effect profile is a bit off putting and I don't want to be tied down to taking them for the rest of my life at this age - I'd rather have repeated HT's.
