  1. wow...nice transformation!!! You still have a lot of growing time...good stuff...keep us posted!!!
  2. Hey everyone...I am providing my monthly updates...I have just hit the 2 month mark. Below are my pics. As you can see I am clearly in the ugly duckling stages as I have lost the majority of my HT hairs. I still have some redness esp on the corners as you can clearly in person see the shadow of my new hairline. It is tough being in this stage because I do get restless at times just wanting to leave my house without a hat. At times I feel like I am not in society in that I can't really do anything socially without a hat and have to pick and choose where I can go (i.e. hat permitting). I understand though that this is what I have to endure for the moment and I have fine with that. Just thought I would vent a little! lol. I am still applying my rogaine foam twice a day and it really isn't too much of a burden...literally takes a few minutes each time I am becoming a pro at it! lol. From looking at my 1 month pics my other hair def has grown in (top and sides). The sides were growing faster than my top so I decided to give myself a hair cut...quite interesting...bc I didn't have the nerve/balls to go to my barber at this point. I used a #4 guard and it went pretty well...but my scar showed a bit...mainly bc there is a little shockloss left still. All and all no real complaints...just waiting to hit like the 4 month mark to start seeing some results...I'm actually hoping to start seeing something at the 3 month mark...we shall see as there have been a lot of Dr. Rahal results lately and I am getting greedy in that I want those results now! lol Should I begin to workout?! This is the big question and I have done my research and Dr. Rahal has said I can begin light work outs and then increase as I go...but I am still nervous to begin. I am at the point where I NEED to go back because I just feel unfit at this point. I have read a lot on this site about going back to work out...but still pose the question as to whether it is time to get back...I gather I will start light but every exercise pretty much involves the neck/head as they are all connected...so I am thinking maybe I'll wait till 3 months? Any advice would be great on what you personally did and if it hurt your scar in any way! Thanks again!!!
  3. I would DEF use it...it is to keep the grafts moist. I asked Mike if/when I run out where do I buy it? He said you can use water also but you would have to use it more often because it evaporates quicker. So for now I guess use water and get saline solution soon!
  4. This is the link to register for a website. Hair Transplant Web Sites
  5. great pics...def see a great difference...congrats!!!
  6. Nice...can't really see where he actually put the grafts...frontal third but it looks like he didn't touch the center of your frontal third? Seems he just did the corners of the frontal third? You should create a website as it is easier to post and document. Looks good though.
  7. Congrats and welcome to the club!!! The hard part is over and now the ugly duckling mode comes next but soon enough you will have your hair back! Keep us posted!!!
  8. Looks good! You feel better now that the stitches are removed?! It def feels better after they are removed...little less tightness
  9. NHP...did Rahal send you the pre op pics yet????!!!
  10. Perhaps I'm biased but I would def get an online consult with Dr. Rahal...you can check out my write up to help get more info. He does great dense hairlines and overall great coverage in other areas. Go research him and see his results and you will see what I mean. Also...you can check out Hasson and Wong as they are great as well...check their results as well!
  11. wow...great result...this kid's hair originally seemed pretty good but after the HT...WOW! I am quite envious to say the least!!! Great job H&W...very natural looking too!
  12. Good luck...u r in GREAT hands...if you have any questions/concerns before the surgery read my write up...u staying at Foxbar?
  13. wow looks really good! Doesn't seem that red at all...looks just like a shaved head would 1 weeks out...good stuff!!! The hard part is almost over...once you get the sutures out you are free and clear to just heal and enjoy the ugly duckling months! lol.
  14. I'm not a doctor so I don't know what that "not immune" means. When is ur HT date? Please provide more details. Regarding blood testing I got it done faxed it to Rahal and he reviewed it. Did you send him your results? I wouldn't worry about it...as it is just a precautionary measure.
  15. I agree with Hariri...and also think you should talk to as many doctors as possible. I too wanted FUE at first for the scar and all the normal reasons but upon talking to a lot of doctors they all pretty much recommended FUT because of my loss...and more importantly my future potential loss...that is key...not what you have today but the future loss because you don't want to do FUE now and then have extensive loss and have to do FUT to get better coverage and yield which would totally defeat the reason you got FUE in the first place. Also factor in the costs of FUE...not just for this session but if you go the FUE route...you will prob stay that route and that could be verrrry expensive. Do your research and talk with doctors for their professional opinion as it may sway you.
  16. I recommend extending your search beyond just NYC as this is a life long thing and you don't want to just hinder your search by just a certain area...esp if you need a mega session...I would def recommend Rahal and H&W. It doesn't hurt to get an online consult with them. I too started just looking in the NYC region but then realized that I needed to go elsewhere to get my mega session. Keep your options open and the more doctors you speak with the better educated you will become and know what can and can not be done with your hair loss situation.
  17. Lookin good Hariri!!! Def keep letting it grow....nice coverage!!!!
  18. nice...his hairline is not apparent in the photos...do you have a photo of his hair pulled back to see his new hairline? That would make a better comparison compared to his pre op photo.
  19. Hey...you look like you need the frontal third done...which is exactly the area I had. I received 4,616 from Dr. Rahal...check out my website and links in my signature. It is not a "crazy" operation to get that many...pretty standard now a days esp with the right doctor like Dr. Rahal. I highly recommend getting an online consultation from him to see what he says. I can see you getting that many grafts based on your frontal loss...see my pre-op pics. Anyone that says you can't or shouldn't get 4k grafts + in 1 session is not very knowledgeable or more importantly not skilled enough to be a HT surgeon and I would NOT listen to them and run for the hills. Bisanga is good and highly recommended on this site and his 4k+ sounds right. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns and I will gladly help you out!
  20. MrJobi: When did you apply it...(at what stage of the HT-how many months in). is Dermmatch basically like makeup? How do u apply it...with a brush? You use it on the recipient area and/or donor area? I am looking to try to cover up the redness on my recipient area.
  21. Nice...but why did he only have 1,587 FU's? Was he not a good candidate for any more? Seems he needed a lot more.
  22. Geee...good stuff on going to Dr. Rahal. I had a HT with him in December. Go to my website and check out my write ups and pics...this should def give you a first hand look at what it is like to have a HT and with Dr. Rahal. You staying at Foxbar?
  23. wow...looking good NHP!!! You got great coverage...scar looks good too! I def recognize those orange walls! lol. Heal well!
