  1. Alright fair enough I guess, but by adding TM in the search field - intended joke or not - your post then takes the OP to the clinic's website. I wanted him to get objective views from past FUE patients. Rahal excels at FUT and I even include him in my sig, however for FUE I have seen things that warrant due diligence. Not conveying that does a misjustice to the community, and as someone who had a failed procedure I don't let friends have bad HT's.
  2. Certainly did not, I meant what I wrote. I take a few moments here to try and help someone and then someone I also once tried to help tries to waste my time by posting gibberish. Unreal sometimes here.. People who waste mine and other's time and post meaningless comments end up on the ignore this user list.
  3. After 7 years on this forum it's still Hasson and Konior. The only thing that has changed is that they both now also perform FUE as well. Surgeons new on the radar because they are overseas and had not previously received attention on US forums are Couto, Erdogan (not so new to HRN members) and Keser. Oh and there is that one Beverly Hills FUE surgeon but I'm still up in the air because of the clinics's past dealings..
  4. NW2, hairline is low enough and corners are mature but stable so you don't need to do anything (i.e. surgery) and try stay on meds long term if no sides.
  5. Use the search function, put Rahal FUE into keywords (you can also try FUE in Tag field but with less results). In the Search in Forum(s) field select Hair Transplant Experience and Reviews Forum By and for Hair Loss Patients - Search Forums Alternatively, you can put Rahal FUE and Hair Restoration Network Forum into a google search.
  6. At the very least have an in person consult with Dr. Lindsey to evaluate your hairless situation. Not many of us have a recommended surgeon within close proximity. Hasson is on my list of top 3 worldwide FUT surgeons, as the consumer you have the right to make the final decision of your choice.
  7. Second (third actually) that, be careful with the other ones in Turkey. No other clinics have the solid consistent reputation that Erdogan and Keser do.
  8. As long as you went with a reputable surgeon (recommended elite surgeon on HRN for example) and you have not been doing anything counterproductive to the grafts - sunburn, overusing Nizoral or other harsh ingredients on the scalp - you should be Ok and could be just the hair cycles balancing out. If you answer no to the counterproductive points above and still experience diminished hair growth going forward, a scalp issue could be something to look into but not at this stage yet. Take detailed pics and monitor it. Are you on Fin btw?
  9. Agreed, if it was one of the top docs charging $12 for a small or tiny procedure due to a hectic schedule and trying to squeeze you in it would't really surprise me. How many grafts are you having done?
  10. He would likely do a very dense and amazing job, but 2,400 grafts or so for that area is definite overkill ! I've had temple corner (quite dense at 60 grafts/cm2) and temple point restoration done for around 1,400 grafts in those areas and looking at your recent situation there is no way in hell (lol) you need 2,400. I would look at Maras or Keser again, in order to save your donor area for future loss, but that's just me. Keser doesn't do just temple points?
  11. Looking very clean and dense as well! One more day till the critical post-op day 10, you should be in for an awesome result based on his past record and from what I can see of the grafts and placement.
  12. mikeyhwk knows his stuff, and none of the elite ones even in N. America charge $12 so stay away from that surgeon charging those high fees.
  13. Search a few veteran HRN members who had FUE at Rahal and then send them PMs. That's all I'm saying.
  14. Kind of a valid point that fall and winter make it easier to stay out the sun and avoid heavy sweating but also your downtime allocation will affect this of course. Biotin for stronger hair and MSM to speed up hair regrowth are old time favorites. Plus vitamin C higher doses for a few weeks post op. Typically your new hairs (but not the grafts) will start to shed after 2-3 weeks post and maybe around 5% or less will not shed. Who is your surgeon btw?
  15. "Virgin territory" meaning bald scalp not yet transplanted into is easier to dense pack and to achieve significant results. Transplanting into existing hair or existing transplants has the risk of shock loss and there is a limit as to what the surgeon can achieve in terms of grafts/cm2. Also you may thin out in this area over time if not on meds or lose response to the drugs. If you've had multiple HT's that didn't grow you better take a step back and reassess where the issue is, whether it's your own physiology (future procedures not advised in such case), from losing native hair due to shock loss or from aging, or from surgeon's lack of skill. Pre and post-op photos plus information on your current hair loss medicine regimen would help us to better assess your situation. If it's surgeon skill issue, then do not proceed unless you are going with one of the elite surgeons out there - Konior, Lorenzo, Erdogan etc. Otherwise you're just wasting grafts and money.
  16. There are some amazing FUT surgeons in Canada including Rahal, but for FUE you're going to have to at least cross the border for Konior in Chicago, Diep in California or Vories in N. Carolina. Europe in particular Belgium would also be worth researching for affordable but great FUE surgeons as well.
  17. Look into the FUE masters ASMED (Dr. Erdogan) or Dr. Keser in Turkey since you're closer to that area and are more affordable slightly, also you might want to research meds such as Propecia - including possible side effects too ! - for maintaining after the HT. Also FUT might be better in your case as you have advanced hair loss extending back into the vertex, so Dr. Hasson, Rahal and Konior could ones to research for FUT. good luck Edit: You are really missing two crucial steps here: (1) have you decided on FUT vs FUE? and (2) have you researched hair loss meds including Finasteride and Minoxidil (including potential for side effects) ? Until you have done those two you should not proceed with the doctor selection/pricing phase.
  18. I liked HIS in the past especially for SMP into FUT scars (I had an old bad Bosley scar done by them) but have heard they have had some business issues. I have also read reports on this forum from those who have claimed temporary SMP played a part in them developing leukemia. So research it carefully before proceeding.
  19. Probably a combination of sebaceous (from your oil glands) and or oozing (from the procedure itself) buildup from not being able to wash your scalp as rigorously as before. Just follow your doc's instructions and don't worry about it, you have to take extreme caution until post-op day 10. It's stressing to see it but don't worry about it.
  20. Looking really good man at seventh months. Dr. Keser does great work. Are you going back for the temple points? I don't think you need it but you had said it bothered you (I ended up having mine done in Jan with Konior).
  21. Currently it's the most promising treatment in terms of soon to be available new options, with 2018 Japan release on the horizon then Europe soon after. A lot of their early R&D was based on safety of the treatment (making sure it doesn't induce tumors etc) so subsequent efforts may produce better results when they concentrate on higher concentrations of the growth agent. I think it will be much longer for the US market due to the more stringent regulations in place but we will see. A good summary of the treatment and status can be found here. 22. What this thread is about is those who have tried Fin, know it works, but are trying to reduce current dosage to stay on the drug for the betterment of their hair. You are correct that it takes a long time to determine if it works in your own case and unfortunately you won't know about the sides until you actually try. The chances are low but the risk is there. I agree starting with a low dose a few times a week may be a safer conservative approach. Hope you are lucky with the sides not being prominent. good luck
  23. I read this the other day about what's in the pipeline for 2017-2018. Replicel still seems at the top of the list for plausible treatments available soon. Ultimate Guide to Hair Regeneration 2017 – Follicle Thought Other ones mentioned are Histogen's HSC and Brotzu lotion plus several others. Anyway it's an interesting read on what's on the horizon. Btw as a stock investment Replicel is not limited to hair loss but also produces stem cell treatments for tendonitis and wrinkles and an injection device. At a glance it's a risky stock as it trades on the OTC (and also venture market in Canada) but is listed on the middle tier OTCQB. Stock price has taken a beaten somewhat so could be some upside.
  24. Just bringing this thread back on topic as the mods didn't remove the spam. (please remove the spam post when you have time mods) I'm not so sure diluting Fin in alcohol is the best approach as lower "real" doses taken with water may be a better idea. In my case the brain fog was more of a grogginess when the drug affects my sleep and I wake up not feeling really rested. It goes away when stopping Fin and reduces when I take smaller doses at the current regimen.
