  1. Hello. Anyone out there who has had SMP and can advise if buzzing down with 0.4mm blade on hair clippers would ok or is that not close enough. I guess depends on the individual so if it helps I am white with light brown hair which is nw6/7
  2. Thanks david

  3. Hello, I am 29 years old and NW6 possible 7. Very limited donor hair so not an ideal candidate for a HT although i have been advised by DR K at EAK hair institute that i could have one but i would have to be realistic with what i wanted. Advised frontal 3rd would have coverage but from there backwards wouldnt be touched. Only worry is that once i have FUE i will have to keep my hair to at least a grade 1 (3mm) to be able to hide the scars. I keep my hair at a 0.5 on the sides and back at the moment and try to leave some on top as its almost completely gone from there. I have had consulations with both HIS and SKALP (HIS only skype but i visited SKALP in London. Cant say i was overly impressed with both of them. SKALP said i would have to wet shave my hair with im trying to avoid. Can anyone recommend any other clinics in the UK. I am in Southampton which is on the South Coast. Or anyone had any experience with SKALP of HIS that they can share? i have attached images. Hair was grown out so i could send to HT clincs for analysis on a HT.
  4. I did notice that but they did send me a barrage of emails with before and after pictures.
  5. Has anyone can across this site at all? I made an enquiry through the site and send pictures. Got a response from a customer consultant who said a Dr would examine my pictures and come back with an evaluation in a couple of days. They did respond a couple of days later saying they have evaluated and concluded my donor area isn't the best but could still achieve a total of around 4200-4300 grafts with a further 700-800 from the beard to make up to 5000 if required. They advised the operation would be performed by Op. Dr. Onur S?mer and highly qualified*technician medical team leader Mrs. Nagihan Akbas. Mrs. Nagihan Akbas has over 13 years of experience in hair transplant industry apparently. The clinic which I would go to is called este palace and sent these links. Clinic: Onur S?mer Sa? Ekimi T?rkiye - En All inclusive price of ?1800 which includes flights and a 3 night hotel. Anyone heard of this clinic or Dr before? Apologies for double post but I thought this part of the forum was more appropriate.

  7. I do shave down to a 0 but because of my skin tone you can still see the shadow horse shoe around my head which is what i hate the most. So would you suggest another opinion on my donor area?
  8. Hey guys, i am thinking about getting an FUE transplant next year. I am 29 years old and have substantial hair loss, NW7 probably. I have been advised i can have 2 x FUE transplant from a company in Europe. This should give a better hairline and more density overall. I usually have my hair very short and was wondering if anyone has had any experience of FUE and how short you can have your hair and still be able to hide scars. I am also not 100% sure as i have been told my donor area wasn't great by a surgeon in the UK. My hair was still quite short when i had the consultation a couple of years ago. I have attached pictures if anyone can offer any advice it would be appreciated
  9. New to the forum and wanted to post some pics of my hairloss and see if anyone could give an indication on the number of grafts i would need to achieve a full scalp coverage? I understand i won't be able to ever have a full head of hair again but what would it take to get as close to that as possible. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  10. Thanks i have just sent of some pictures for the online assessment with Feriduni in Belgium and asked a few questions so i will wait to hear back from that and take it from there. Will you keep you posted on what they say compared to Vinci. Thanks again guys
  11. Thanks for the advice thisguy1. I would say i am a norwood 6 using the scale He did mention that it would be around 9000 grafts but i still feel like it was a pressured sale, funny though as apparently he used to work for faro :roll eyes: Conveniently he had a HT with the new company he was now working for. He showed me the back of my hair with a microscope and told me the donor area was very good. I would prefer a UK HT but i don't mind going to Europe if it means i can get better value for money. Should i be looking for clinics or actual surgeons?
  12. I am currently considering a hair transplant at the age of 28 as my hair loss has now become substantial. It has been thinning since i was about 19/20 but has had significant loss within the last 2-3 years all over my scalp. Tried both propecia and Minoxodil and saw little or no results (at least nothing that i could notice myself) Please can anyone suggest a good place to have a HT done in the UK and offer any advice at all? Went for a consultation in Bristol with Vinci but haven't heard much about them and can't seem to find much information on any website/forum that fills me with any confidence. The consultant i saw told me due to significant amount of hairloss i would need 2 procedures to regain full coverage over my entire scalp. (2 x FUT sessions @ ?6500 each) I was told if i make a decision before 29th Feb it would ?11,000 in total with other free aftercare treatments included. This seemed like a bit of sales technique to me. Ive heard the only reputable company in the UK is Farjo so was just wondering if anyone has any experiences or suggestions that can share with me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
