  1. Not sure about what drugs in general, but I would imagine that HRT drugs such as Testosterone and most body building drugs would be bad for HT or hair overall.
  2. I'm at 3-1/2 months and I'm not sure yet? It just started to show some growth although still quite thin, but seems to be improving weekly.
  3. I had to pay the full balance on the day of surgery. I thought this was standard practice.
  4. wb, Off topic, but was wondering if you ever got that 458 Italia? Love to hear how you like it. Aloha, Russ
  5. I agree! Both David and Blake always have good positive things to say. Nice to have them on board!
  6. Wow Doc that speaks volumes!! Fortunately tanning beds aren't needed here, but the sun can be fierce. Most of us sun people have cut way back on sun bathing and do use lots of sunscreen. Aloha Russ
  7. BTW wb280, Are you still numb in the back above the scar? I think I am beginning to get some feeling back but very slowly and very little.
  8. You have twice as much as I do and I am at 3-1/2 months! I sure something big happens in the couple of months!
  9. I was told that I could have my wife remove them. They have detailed instructions for home removal.
  10. I'm 11-1/2 weeks post op and I have lots of new little hairs coming in, but they are very thin, not at all close to the thickness of the hair in the donor site. Will these eventually get replaced by thicker hair? Thanks Russ
  11. Mine hasn't improved much since the beginning, and I'm at 3 months. Still tender although some days more than others.
  12. I was worried about numbness as well. I'm only 11 weeks out but I hate that numb feeling at the back of my head. I have been told that it can last easily up to a year. I would not give hope yet.
  13. You said "a little swelling". You are very fortunate if that is all you get. My head and face swelled up so much that I looked like a Klingon from Staf Trek.
  14. The hairs are very long already. I'm at 10 weeks post op and I might have half that much hair. How did that grow so fast?
  15. Great results and at only 6 months! I will look forward to seeing 8 &12 month updates.
  16. Looks great! You must be very happy.
  17. Just wanted to share some info with everyone. I started taking this herb blend for hair nourishment about a month ago and I have to say something has improved the overall health of my hair, and this is the only thing I have done different. I have not heard anyone mention it so I thought I would. If you want to see the list of ingredients just Google it. I was not expensive either! Russ
  18. It seems to me that you could get ingrown hairs with new graft hairs trying to emerge, and that in itself could cause a pimple. I had 2 at 2 months PO and I just gently popped them.
  19. I can't believe how long the newly transplanted hairs are. That is incredible.
  20. I think it affects us all differently. The first few nights were hard and I spent quite a bit of time experimenting with pillows and positions to get as comfortable as possible. You just have to work through it the best you can. It is worse for some, but your doctor should be able to help you. My face didn't hurt but it swelled up and made me look like an alien "Klingon Warrior". That was tough as I hard to go to work that way!
  21. I'm 10 weeks post op tomorrow and definitely got some shockloss in the first 2 months. It does seem to be subsiding now and many small thin hairs are coming out. The new hairs are very easy to spot because I color hair which is dk brown, most all of the new hairs are gray!
  22. Thanks guys! These hairs are very light and thin. I was sure hoping for normal looking hair, glad to know it will be coming. I sure will give an update as I move forward. Aloha Russ
