Approaching on my 2nd FUE operation

Hello all, I had a 2000 graft FUE operation in October 2014, and am thrilled with the results. There is some room for improvement, so I scheduled a second operation, but this time for only 800 grafts, also FUE. My concern is, is there a possibility that the new grafts could cause permanent shock loss to the grafts from the first operation? i researched this topic extensively and found little discussion on this topic (aside from one individual who seemed to be in an utter panick about his se

6 Months

June 24 photo, 4 days short of the 6 month mark following surgery. Hair continues to fill in and has really exceeded my expectations so far. Hoping for more results over the next 3-6 months, but so far I'm thrilled. I've been getting compliments on looking younger, although only a few people have noticed my hairline but have not attributed it to a hair transplant; I kept only a very select few people in the loop.

120 days (almost)

So all of the worry and hand wringing after a long 2-3 months was not necessary. Month 4 is almost in the books, and I'm starting to really see some progress, just like everyone on these blogs said. My hairline is much improved, still quite thin in direct sunlight, but so much better after just 4 months. I can actually wear it so that i need a comb or brush and put some product in it. I feel like time is moving backwards. Where I see thinning, I just think positive thoughts because I know i

An Australian looking for information and reviews on Dr. Koray Erdogan, Asmed. Turkey

Hi Guys, i'm 24 years old and am experiencing hair loss. I want to nip this in the butt now. I don't want to hit 30 and look in the mirror to see a shiny, balding head. I have not found any promising surgeons or results in Australia and have been searching for weeks. My browser and search for the holy grail of HT keeps leading me back to Turkey and Dr. Koray Erdogan at the Asmed Clinic. I would be very grateful if all of you could post reviews, research and any other findings on this doctor and

23 year old beginning his hair restoration experience

The title of this blog says it all. I am a 23 year old male who is suffering from hair loss. I first noticed that I was losing my hair at 16 years old. I have a family history of baldness (all losing there hair at a very young age) from my dad to grandpa to great grandpa to my cousins, so it was destined for me to lose my hair. Once I started losing my hair i tried to accept it but slowly became self concious about it. As a senior in highschool, you could see signs of thinning but I still had en

Dr. Glenn Charles is the best

Hello everyone, I wanted to share with everyone my experience with Dr. Glenn Charles (Boca Raton, FL). I am a 31 year old periodontist in Vero Beach, Fl. I have been losing hair on the crown of my head for 6 years and I have been thinning on the top of my head for the past 3-4 years. As a periodontist I treat people surgically on a daily basis. I know what to expect for my patients but this procedure was relatively unknown to me. I did, however, become very comfortable with Dr. Charles'

Day after HT

So it is now the day after surgery! For some reason, I bled a lot during the surgery which posed some problems for the surgerical staff. It could have been because for the past few years Ive taken fish oil supplements, but I discontinued those about a month before the surgery once I found out that they could cause the blood to thin. I also drank flaxseeds with my protein shakes before workouts and I had to discontinue consuming those a few weeks before surgery. I tried to up my consumpti

Day before HT

Today is the day before my hair transplant surgury. Excited and a little anxious, but overall looking forward to seeing results many months down the line. I've been losing my hair since my mid 20s so it will be a great boost to my confidence to have hair again in the areas where I've lost. Hair transplant will be a 3000 graft FUT. I started finasteride 1 mg 2 weeks ago and am taking it every other day. Also, taking biotin 5000 mcg once per day. Hope I can sleep tonight!

Finasteride shed

I'm 21 and have been taking finasteride 1.25mg for about 5 months. I have recently noticed a large amount of hair falling out from the front portion of my scalp I have also noticed small hairs along my hair line at the front. My question is, could this sudden increase in hair loss be from shedding due to new growth or am I just increasingly getting balder? And are these small hairs new growth or just old hairs gradually getting thinner?
