This is stupidly good work.

I've seen enough, for me, Zarev is easily #1 in the world for high norwoods.  Everyone else has to fight for 2nd place.

@mtb This is high praise from the hairline king himself

Good morning Fellas. Happy Thanksgiving. One month from second procedure. It looks like there may be a little bit of shock loss in the donor area. Everything seems to be going well at this point. I believe most all transplanted hair has cycled and fallen out. Should start coming back in 2-3 months from now. Happy growing, everyone!

Had my second hair cut today since my first procedure (not counting Dr Zarev shaving the sides for second procedure). Some before and afters. Also a few of where I came from albeit with different lighting.

At this point nearly all the grafts from the second procedure (Oct ‘23) have cycled and fallen out and will start sprouting randomly in the next couple weeks (at least that was my experience with first procedure in Jan ‘23). Still some donor shock loss which should take another two months two recover.

How are you looking like this when not even 2 months post-op a second procedure..?

There’s some super human level healing going on here.

Congratulations. You’ve basically already beaten hair loss. That being said I’m very keen to follow along until 12 months. Lol

Not having to shave the recipient area for the second procedure was nice.

On the 2nd HT, did you focus mainly on the crown but also reinforce the hairline? Apologies if you already said

Yes. A few hundred in the hairline and then the majority in crown and mid scalp.

@mtb Will you be able to grow sides and the back longer without diffuse look? It is 12000 grafts after all. What Dr Zarev told about this?

Did you get some detailed report about density in donor and recepient area? I am speaking about something like this 9:10 : https://youtu.be/XASvPhbsRO4?t=550

the density when those 3600 grafts grow in will be amazing.

looks like plenty left in your donor if needed in future too option of short hair on side if necessary @hairman22

Dr Zarev told me there are 2,500+ grafts left for future balding. Beyond that I think he can still take more but I would have to commit to a very short side look. Nearly shaved. Low probability it will come to that.

The diffuse look has to do with the shock loss. If you look back on page 6 of this thread I had the same thing 2 months after my first procedure. By months 4-5 everything was healed from shock loss and growing in the donor area so I assume it'll be the same thing after this second procedure.

I did not receive a detailed report of my own case like in the video. He kind of covered it in the consultation but no detailed print out. He may well have provided it for me but I didn't think to ask and didn't care too much about it. I saw a couple of forms he was writing his notes on with diagrams of my head. @GeneralNorwood

That answers my question.

Yes, i know that current look is shock loss and your hair is short, so we have to wait some time. I was just wondering what was opinion of Dr Zarev about this subject and in particular how many grafts he estimated that you have in the bank. Thank you for responding.

@mtb I remember originally in your posts you have a total of 12k grafts available.

But you know have an extra 2.5k because your scalp healed so well.

Its just remarkable Zarev's technique its obvious it causes far less trauma resulting in more grafts available.

@hairman22 I think maybe Dr. Zarev is just conservative in his initial estimates on graft survival rate, death of adjacent follicles in the donor area, healing of the donor skin, etc. Just my slightly informed thoughts.

I'm for sure going to lose the rest of my parietal humps (which he didn't touch) but he didn't know when that would be. Some time in the next 10 years probably. However, I am getting back on oral fin (half dose) for awhile (my own decision) and that should slow the parietal hump loss. I also think the very bottom of my crown may go lower in the next 10-15 years. Having those 2,500+ in the bank is a nice little insurance policy.

its not rocket science, the results are great, what he Is doing is no different from anyone else in terms of technique, but what is different is his and a few other docs approach to this SAFE area your only suppose to take from, I went aggressively bald very early like many on the forum and dont see a problem going right up to the borders, but many docs just won't do it, and thats the difference, nothing mind boggling, just he sees and trust the process himself

WTF This makes zero sense . Dr Zarev needs to train other doctors .

At this point no one can compete with these types kinds results …

Yeah he is levels above the herd. Other might catch up later.

I remember during my consultation he told me, he tried some training debut with some docs and when they saw the working time/spent on each person they just gave up haha ! He is a machine, people don't realize enough.
