- The number of grafts sounded high to me, but I trusted the Doctor's recommendation and the density looks as though it directly matches that of my native hair.

I suspect the high graft count for the coverage is because your hair is so fine.

Think about your head as a swimming pool filled with water and you're trying to cover its surface. If you use beach balls, you'll need fewer balls but with tennis balls, you're going to need many more to get the same coverage.

Whilst very true, H&W also seem to have a habit of using more grafts than other surgeons typically would for the same area, fine hair or not.

Not saying it's a bad thing, they're one of the best, I think they just like to ultra-densely pack more than pretty much everyone else around.

Just about 5 months, and had a fresh cut, no product just blow dried. I've notice that the skin under my temporal peak on the left side is still really red, couldn't see it before. My right is fine, so hopefully the left catches up eventually. Still have a weak spot on my right temple, and dead center that are lagging. Took all the photos is harsh direct lighting. Barber took it down to a 0.5. I think it looks ok most places, save for my right side, but open to opinions. Maybe I'll keep it at a 1 just to be safe in the future.

Impressive result at 5 months 😍!

And your donor looks fantastic, like nobody ever got any grafts from it, wow!!!

About the temples, why didnt they cut them the same as the lower area? I think it would even look more beautiful. Or as you said, keep all at 1 next time, would look amazing!

Cant wait to see the final result. Thanks for sharing 😉

11 months. I was still feeling a random hair or two coming in at this point, so I guess it's still thickening up a bit.

isnt that sort of a small recipient area for 5000 grafts? Usually high yield 5000 grafts procedures have significant more hair loss and recipient area.

🤷 I wouldn't want any less density. Hasson dense packs likes he's trying to avoid checked baggage fees
