  1. 🤷 I wouldn't want any less density. Hasson dense packs likes he's trying to avoid checked baggage fees
  2. 11 months. I was still feeling a random hair or two coming in at this point, so I guess it's still thickening up a bit. Harsh overhead lighting
  3. 8 months. With product. The weak spots had all but filled in Without product
  4. 6 months. Everything seemed pretty close to done by this point. Still bit of a weak point in the center of my forehead and on the right side, but they were slowly filling in.
  5. Your hair loss pattern and hair characteristics look quite similar to time pre-op, although yours is more strawberry to my blonde and your temple points are further eroded. Others have already given some excellent clinic options, but you're NW IV, in my opinion, and I believe it will take more than 3000 grafts to achieve the hairline and density you're looking for. Luckily you have what looks like a bomb donor so your options are pretty open, don't waste it. As for the the yachts, there is no altruism in business, and these docs aren't doing this out of the kindness of their hearts, but I think all the top shops know that they are only as good as their last results. Nothing wrong with making lots of money for doing something you're good at 😉
  6. Thank you for the kind words, all. I'm very happy to be part of the early grower club!
  7. Just about 5 months, and had a fresh cut, no product just blow dried. I've notice that the skin under my temporal peak on the left side is still really red, couldn't see it before. My right is fine, so hopefully the left catches up eventually. Still have a weak spot on my right temple, and dead center that are lagging. Took all the photos is harsh direct lighting. Barber took it down to a 0.5. I think it looks ok most places, save for my right side, but open to opinions. Maybe I'll keep it at a 1 just to be safe in the future.
  8. I don't mean to fanboy but I'm pretty happy with the hairline Hasson gave me. I'm at 4.5 months and, save for a small spot that is lagging, would be totally fine if it stopped right here. From what I've seen, he's going to use a higher graft number, but the density is excellent
  9. He puts out consistent quality work, I'd say you were in good hands! I didn't even notice in real time. Wasn't until I was loading the photos and looked at last months post. Had almost forgotten how much it had changed!
  10. 4 months. Stopped wearing a hat about 3 weeks ago. It's still a little weak on my right side, but it's tough to tell unless you're looking straight on, and I can do a bit of comb over to camouflage it. Left side looks way further along. I'm definitely in the excited phase now! Time for a haircut.
  11. Haha, ya it's tough not to agonize over it every day. Still early in the process, so it's all good
  12. Today is 3 months. Bit of growth, but nothing super exciting so far. I'm still low key hoping for a Christmas miracle and waking up to huge gains. Who knows, it could happen...
  13. The following day I decided to buzz it right down to get a better idea of my recipient healing. This is a 5 mm clipper, so slightly under a #2 guard. I would be pretty hard pressed to see any scarring, and I think I'd be comfortable taking it lower in the future.
  14. These were taken on November 13, so just shy of two months. Was getting a few pimples in the recipient right up until 2.5 months, then nothing. As soon as I hit 3 weeks all those beautiful grafts packed up and took off. If I remember correctly, I shed pretty much everything in about 72 hours. Hair is slightly damp.
  15. Not that I've noticed. Unless something manifests as late as 8 months out I'd say I'm in the clear. As far as experience, it fully repaired the slight thinning in my crown and halted any thinning in the front, but I couldn't tell of any thickening there. My hairline had never been particularly strong, even looking at photos 10 years back, so it looked normal to me. According to the doctor is it more effective on the crown than other areas and that outcome was to be expected. Totally agree, but I asked him more than once about this as I was really concerned about overharvesting. According to him I had little cause for concern, given the 9-10 in the bank pre-op and a low likelihood of requiring another operation in the future. I had been researching clinics for the better part of 18 months, and chose them based on their consistent quality of work. So when he said that was number needed to obtain the density that would look best I trusted his judgement. I should say that the photos do belie the size somewhat, and the recipient area appears larger in person in relation to untouched portion; I've got a pretty big head 😅. Worth noting that the lady working on me had been part of their team for over a decade, and she has it down to an artform. I can understand and appreciate the benefits of specialization in a setting like this, rather than having a jack of all trades approach.
  16. Happy to share more pictures The grafts were punched and removed by the same technician. Yes, the left over grafts were cut into singles and then added to existing incisions containing 2-3 hair bundle grafts. When I asked the tech about this she told me it was possible to combine single and double together, but combining groups doesn't work well. Kind of like grafting a branch to a tree.
  17. Thanks John! I'm excited to see it progress, and finally have the relatively youthful hairline I wasn't able to experience previously
  18. Day 15That brings us up to today. Recipient site is still fairly numb but I slowly regaining feeling. Left side donor is mostly healed, only slightly tender to the touch. Right side is just a bit behind, with a low and dull throbbing.I'm overall really pleased with the work performed. I think the new hairline much better frames my face I'm excited to see it progress.I'll post again in another week or so, as the shedding starts, and then taper off until I have more results to display.
  19. Day 10Continued recovery. This was roughly the time that the pain started to reduce to the point that I no longer needed t3's to sleep through the night. However my right side still has a dull throbbing. Pain up to that point had been roughly 6-7/10 depending on time of day and if I had been moving around too much.
  20. Day 795% of the scabs were gone, and swelling had reduced to a level where I could get a better idea of what the new hairline would look like. You can see the lines where day 1 and day 2 meet. I'm hoping that they fill in a bit and the differentiation between the zones isn't apparent forever.
