FUE in the U.K.

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to get a FUE procedure in the UK and have arranged to see Asim Shahmalak and Raghu Reddy. I chose these 2 as they are the only 2 IAHRS doctors in the U.K. specialising in FUE. I would love to hear if anyone has an opinion (especially anything negative) about either surgeon or if there is another surgeon known for top quality FUE work. Many thanks!

Dr Ball at the Maitland Clinic and Drs Farjo would be a better choice.

Not a fan of Shamalaks work. Look at Dr Christian Jessen's hairline.

4,312 FUT grafts (7,676 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2013

1,145 FUE grafts (3,152 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2018

763 FUE grafts (2,094 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - January 2020

Proscar 1.25mg every 3rd day

I am a fan of Dr. Reddy, check out this guy life of Steve, his hairline looks impeccable, if I lived in the U.K. and didn't want to travel I'd probably choose him.

I would look at Mr Ball, Reddy and possibly Farjo.

I would avoid the UK altogether and head to Belgium or Turkey if you're interested in FUE. Better doctors for a fraction of the price. Both Farjo and Reddy are doing good work, but I don't think most would place them on the same level as others accessible via plain trip.

I would look at Bisanga, Feriduni and Lupanzula in Belgium and Erdogan in Turkey as well as the UK clinics to get a bit more perspective.

I recently had an operation with Dr Reddy, at his Selston clinic, rather than his Harley Street clinic:

I paid 5k for 1200 grafts. I was thoroughly impressed with the doctor and his team of staff.

I had a really good chat with Dr Reddy about his philosophy and how he's refined his technique over the years.

Given you are only interested in FUE, I think he would be a good choice, as there are lots of examples of his work.

I agree about Shamalak, but not so about Farjo or Ball. I had consultations with both, and felt that Reddy's work and yield is superior.

I'm with @jeanlucbergmann. You need to check out european docs. I had mine done by Dr Villnow and got a great rate. The doc himself did the surgery too, not technicians.

I paid ?4.16 per graft with Dr Reddy at Selston, and I believe his work is far superior to Villow, who is not recommended on here (Dr Reddy is). Dr Reddy is a FUE only surgeon too.

Dude, you got your view, I got mine and, yeah totally disagree with your 'far superior' stuff. That's your opinion but hey, you're entitled to it.

I don't wanna get into a my surgeon's better than your surgeon kinda thing. Let people look at the photos and decide for themselves is what I say.

Sorry you don't agree with my opinion, no offence intended bud, but I think there is world of difference between the two surgeons. I just wanted to let the person know that there is great HT work going on here in the UK. I know it is more expensive though.

I know we both had our first surgeries with Dr De Reys, so Nick did mention Dr Villnow to me, but there are very few examples of his work (there was not when I last looked), whereas Dr Reddy has close to 100 on his website and I think his work is comparable to the very best in FUE - Lorenzo, Feriduni, Couto etc

From my research over the last few years I can add this.... Dr reddy although only does fue he isn't a dedicated transplant surgeon he also carrys of many other cosmetic procedures, Dr farjo is well established and deffo knows he's art but I found he prefers FUT and he's deffo the man to go to for this as I feel he's results are very good, from all the surgeon I met in the uk I feel the Harley street hair clinic come top of my list, very impressed with them and they are dedicated in fue, they quote the right grafts and they work round the patients needs only thing is they are very expensive compared to the rest hope this helps you
