6 MONTHS UPDATE - 1397 GRAFTS - FUE SESSION WITH DR. PAUL SHAPIRO

A special thanks goes to this patient from SMG for stopping by this afternoon so we could take pics of his progress. He is very happy to be able to style his hair the way he wants again. When he came in he had gel in his hair to spike it up. We tried to take video of his donor but his hair is just too thick in the donor area to be able to tell any work was done. He has dark, wavy, coarse hairs.

He looks ten years younger, and at six months he still has growth left. Great result. I've been continually impressed with SMG's FUE work.

Looks really good. I agree he looks much younger and at only 6months you know this is a truly excellent result in the works.

All of the quality FUE work brewing on the forum now is exciting to say the least.

Dr. Paul does it again. If you told me that this was 12 Months Post-Op I'd be impressed. I'm curious if this is an example of the dense-packing Dr. Paul wrote about a bit ago. It doesn't appear that the patient will have any kind of aggressive hair loss. Should someone like this patient get on Propecia?

Dr. G: 1,000 grafts (FUT) 2008

Dr. Paul Shapiro: 2,348 grafts (FUT) 2009 ~ 1,999 grafts (FUT) 2011 ~ 300 grafts (Scar Reduction) 2013

Dr. Konior: 771 grafts (FUT) 2015 ~ 558 grafts (FUT) 2017 ~ 1,124 grafts (FUE) 2020

We could see by this patient's 3 months progress that he was going to be an early grower. We've seen some of our strip patients experience early growth too so we're not surprised by it but we consider these patients to be fortunate/lucky. He has some thickening to look forward to but the difference will likely be more subtle going forward.

This patient could not be more gracious or accommodating - he's very willing to come in whenever we ask. The next progress picture for him will be at 9 months and then 12 months post op.

Aaron,

Dr. Paul planted the hairline at SMG's typical 45-55 grafts/cm2.

Thanks to all for your nice comments.

no LMS i am not employed by SMG and NEVER have been dude , i have also never been financially compensated or compensated in any other way for anything by any ht clinic or doctor.

I did the videos on youtube as a favour for SMG who i now consider good friends(thats it dude no secrets im just a happy patient), i asked them myself if i could do a few films as im learning to make videos and short films and i like computers big time( yup im a nerd lol)and thought this would give me some practise

i hope this is now clear dude honestly there is nothing sinister or secret going on and im more than happy to put this in my signature if you reqiure Bill?

im sure janna will confirm all this for any none believers icon_smile.gif

i also want to make it very clear that the videos were done AFTER the pro bono work was finalised and they had nothing to do with their very generous offer which i will be eternally grateful for

best wishes bullit icon_smile.gif

The "Repair Program for Bullitnut" was put together by another forum owner a year and a half ago to help a guy who had been devasted by poor HT work for years. Despite having been crippled in his everyday life, he still managed to project a great attitude on the HT forums. His main objective was to steer clear others from getting poor work like he did. Because of his attitude and endless time posting on forums, number of other members (including me) reached out to get the repair program underway, to make the whole experience free of charge for BN. Generous members paid for his flights, hotel, meals for the trip from UK to Minnesota.

When SMG offered the free repair work, it was in the spirit of simply helping one fellow get his life on track again.....nothing more, nothing less. BN is a very sweet and grateful guy. There are no arrangements except that when we did the assessment on his repair work that it would take two surgeries to get the desired natural results we are all stiving to achieve.

BN seems to like working with computers and he's answered questions for me as I've put together some videos on youtube as well. When BN first put together the videos, he had completed 3 or 4 before asking if it was okay to put them up. He'd copy and paste the pics from the forums and then put them to music.

Basically, I'm confirming that BN does not get paid or compensated. As much as we like BN, he does not work for SMG. We know how the disclosures on the forums work, we wouldn't have any reasons to hide if we were to hire someone. We would have the rep clearly state so in their signature. There are no current plans to hire anyone to post for SMG at this time.

If you go to Youtube and type in the search bar, Shapiro Medical Group or jannasmg, you should find them - or here's a link:

bullit-- thanks for the clafification, im sorry if my tone or assumption offended. truly...like many on here, im very in touch with your story and what SMG has done for you... what i saw was 13 videos posted, 10 of wich were featuring OTHER SMG patients with links of how and where to find SMG... the other 3 vids were your terrible norton experience.. i likely got a bit to nosey on this one but i have always felt it important for new posters to know where all the poster are coming from especially those who may be compesated within the industry somehow..thanks again all the best.
