  1. This 36 year old gentleman had a hair loss pattern similar to a class 3 on the Hamilton Norwood hair loss scale. After establishing his medical history and understanding the progression of his hair loss, I diagnosed his condition as Androgenetic Alopecia (male pattern baldness), ruling out any other possible dermatological or medical conditions which can cause hair loss. His goal was to rebuild a conservative hairline that would be age appropriate now and as he continue to age. In addition, he wanted more hair throughout the frontal 1/3 of his scalp to build up more density. The patient’s goal was well suited to his needs and therefore I planned the surgery accordingly. A total of 2,210 FUE grafts were used. The break down was as follows: 1,259 single hair grafts, 951 two hair grafts. I used a significant amount of single hair follicular units which allowed me to create a very natural hairline. This action will allow him to comb his hair without anyone detecting that he has had anything done. These are his results 14 months post-op. The patient is extremely happy with his result. He does understand that he might need an addition procedure if he would like more density or does have any further hair loss down the road.
  2. This 34 year old gentleman came to me with a receding hairline, similar to a class 3. He was looking to rebuild and strengthen his hairline, but to be conservative. The goal was also to make sure that it was age appropriate for him now and one that would look good as he continued to age. Patient wanted to be able to comb his hair back without any detection of scalp showing in the frontal 1/3 of his head. It was also explained to him that there was a possibility that he could lose more of his own hair down the road and would possibly need another session if it thinned more. This is his result at the 7 and 9 month point after receiving 3,264 grafts. There should be more improvement over the next 4-6 months.
  3. This 42 year old gentleman came to me with general thinning from the hairline to the crown. His hair loss can progress to a class 5 pattern. His goal was to transplant into his pre-existing hairline and add density into the frontal ? of his head. The goal was also to make sure that it was age appropriate for him now and would also look good as he continued to age. The patient wanted to be able to comb his hair back without any detection of scalp showing in the frontal ? of his head. It was explained to him that there was a possibility that he could lose more of his own hair down the road and would possibly need another session if it thinned more. These are his results at the 5 and 8 month mark after 3,857 grafts. There should be more improvement over the next 4-6 months.
  4. This 34 year old gentleman came to me hopeful that we could rebuild his hairline and give him as much density and coverage as possible. After establishing his medical history and understanding the progression of his hair loss, I diagnosed his condition as Androgenetic Alopecia (male pattern baldness), ruling out any other possible dermatological or medical conditions which can cause hair loss. I explained to him that we needed to take his age, present degree of hair loss and possible further hair loss into consideration when designing a hairline as it would be best to create a conservative hairline that will look good for him at 34 and also look good as he ages. It was also pointed out that, with one procedure, I would be able to add more coverage through the frontal 1/3 to 1/2 of his scalp but that if he wanted more coverage than that we would need a 2nd procedure. I was able to harvest 4,116 grafts. The break down was as follows: 1,578 single hair grafts, 2,173 two hair grafts and 365 three hair grafts. I used a significant amount of single hair follicular units which allowed me to create a very natural hairline. This action will allow him to comb his hair without anyone detecting that he has had anything done. These are his result 8 months post-op. The patient is extremely happy with his result and mentioned that he has received many positive comments about his hair.
  5. This 50 year old gentleman came to me wanting to improve the appearance of his hair. His hair loss pattern was similar to a class 4v. His goal was to keep a conservative hairline to fit his age now and one that would look good as he continued to age. In addition he wanted to increase the density in the crown. In the frontal zone he wanted to add more density into the frontal 1/3 of his scalp without really lowering his hairline much at all. In the crown I placed most of the grafts on the part side and towards the front of balding crown area, which will help him when styling his hair. Here are his results 7 and 16 months post-op. The total graft count was 3,137.
  6. This 43 year old gentleman came to me wanting to improve the overall appearance of his hair. His goal was to keep a conservative hairline to fit his age now and one that would look good as he continued to age but he also wanted to add more density into the frontal 1/3 of his scalp. He elected to go with the FUE procedure. He received 2,680 grafts. Here are his results 7 months post-op and it will continue to improve over the next 5-8 months.
  7. Prior Post Update | 15 Month Post-op Photos Added This 34 year old gentleman came to me wanting to augment his hairline and add as much density into the frontal ? as possible. I explained to him that we would need to keep his hairline conservative so that it would be age appropriate now and as he continued to age. I also explained that with his degree of hair loss, that he was not going to have as much hair or density as what he had before he lost his hair, but that he will have a considerable improvement; from the front it would look like his hair loss was minimal. I was able to get 3,775 grafts. We agreed that he should continue to take finasteride in an effort to stabilize further hair loss, but that there was a possibility that he could lose more hair down the road and would need further work if he wanted to keep the same look as his results produced after this procedure. These are his results 9 and 15 months post-op.
  8. This patient was looking to augment his hairline and add density to the frontal 1/3 of his scalp with a FUE procedure. I explained to him that we would need to keep his hairline conservative so that it would be age appropriate now and as he continued to age. This patient received 2,021 follicular units with a FUE procedure. It was explained to him that there was a possibility that he could lose more hair down the road and would need further work if he wanted to keep the same look that he has achieved from this procedure. These are his results 8 months post-op, which will continue to improve over the next 4-6 months.
  9. This 27 year old gentleman came to me wanting to improve the appearance of his hair. He was looking to augment his hairline and add as much density into the frontal ? as possible with a FUE procedure. I explained to him that we would need to keep his hairline conservative so that it would be age appropriate now and as he continued to age. I also explained that with his degree of hair loss that he would not have as much hair or density as what he had before he lost his hair, but that he would have a considerable improvement; from the front it will look like his hair loss is minimal. I was able to get 2,802 follicular units with a FUE procedure. We agreed that he should continue to take finasteride to try and stabilize further hair loss, but that there was a possibility that he could lose more hair down the road and would need further work if he wanted to keep the same look as what he had after this procedure. These are his results 8 months post-op, which will continue to improve over the next 4-6 months.
  10. This 34 year old gentleman came to me wanting to improve the density in the frontal 1/3 of his scalp. In addition, he wanted to add more density to his crown. I felt that it would be best to concentrate on the frontal 1/3, which we did by putting about 3,000 grafts into this area and placed the remaining grafts (approximately 800 grafts) into his crown. We agreed that he should take finasteride to attempt to stabilize further hair loss, but that there was a possibility that he could lose more hair down the road. If this were to happen, he would need an additional procedure if he wanted to keep the look produced as a result of this procedure.
  11. This 34 year old gentleman came to my clinic wanting to improve on a procedure he had about 6 years ago at another clinic. He had previously had approximately 1,500 grafts into his temple areas. He was looking for more density in the temple areas as well as wanting to add more density to his crown. It was explained to him since he was wanting work done in both areas, that I would be able get his temple areas looking thick and he would go from a balding look in his crown to a thinning look. I was able to transplant 3,856 grafts. Here are his results 10 months post-op.
  12. This 43 year old gentleman was a class 5v. He had a previous surgery, performed by another doctor over 10 years ago. That procedure was a strip procedure. He elected to do a FUE procedure this time. After establishing his medical history and understanding the progression of his hair loss, I diagnosed his condition as Androgenetic Alopecia (male pattern baldness), ruling out any other possible dermatological or medical conditions which can cause hair loss. His goal was to achieve a natural looking hairline with as much coverage as possible into the frontal 1/3 of his scalp. I explained that with his degree of hair loss that it would never look as full as before he lost his hair, but he will have enough coverage to change his appearance from the front. We needed to take his age, present degree of hair loss and possible further hair loss into consideration when planning the surgery. We agreed that it would be best to keep some temple recession, so that he will look good at 43 but also look good as he continues to age. I also explained that if he wanted more density after his first procedure, his donor area would support another procedure in order to continue filling the area farther back. I also explained to him that there was a possibility that he could lose more of his own hair. If this was to happen, the transplanted hair would be able to stand alone and still look natural, but he would need another procedure to bring it back to the way it looks now. He had a total of 2,978 grafts. The break down was as follows: 1,438 single hair, 1360 two hair grafts and 180 three hair grafts. These are his results 9 months post-op and his result will continue to improve over the next 3-6 months. The patient is on Finasteride and is extremely happy with his results.
  13. This 24 year old gentleman was a class 3v. After establishing his medical history and understanding the progression of his hair loss, I diagnosed his condition as Androgenetic Alopecia (male pattern baldness), ruling out any other possible dermatological or medical conditions which can cause hair loss. His goal was to achieve a natural looking hairline with as much coverage as possible into the frontal 1/2 of his scalp. I explained that the procedure would give him enough density in the front half of his scalp so that when he combed his hair, it would not appear as though his hair was thinning. As we planned the surgery, we needed to take his age, present degree of hair loss and possible further hair loss into consideration. Each surgery needs to address the main concerns of a patient so no two plans are the same. We agreed that it would be best to still keep some temple recession so that it will look good for him at 24 but it would still look good as he ages. I also explained that if he wanted more density, after his first procedure, that his donor area would support another procedure. This would allow him to add more density into the frontal area or into his crown. I also explained to him that there was a possibility that he could lose more of his own hair. If this was to happen the transplanted hair would be able to stand alone and still look natural, but he would need another procedure to bring it back to the way it looks now. He had a total of 3,577 grafts. The break down was as follows: 1,658 single hair, 1,569 two hair grafts and 350 three hair grafts. These are his results 10 months post-op and it will continue to improve over the next 2-5 months. The patient is on Finasteride and is extremely happy with his results.
  14. This 29 year old gentleman was a class 4v. We need to take his age, present degree of hair loss and possible further hair loss into consideration when designing his hair line and the surgical plan. I indicated to him that it would be best to still keep some temple recession as that design will look good for him at age 29 and also look good as he continues to age. I explained to him that with his degree of hair loss, one procedure would not make his hair look as dense as before he started losing his hair, but that I could give him enough coverage to take 10 years off of his appearance. I also explained that if he wanted more density after his first procedure, his donor area would support another procedure. A second procedure would allow us to add more density into the frontal area or into his crown. I also explained to him that there was a possibility that he could lose more of his own hair. If this was to happen the transplanted hair would be able to stand alone and still look natural, but he would need another procedure to bring it back to the way it looks now. He had a total of 3,553 grafts. The break down was as follows: 1,289 single hair, 1,584 two hair grafts and 680 three hair grafts. These are his results 8 months post-op and he will continue to get more improvement over the next 4-7 months. He is extremely happy with his results.

  16. This gentleman had diffused thinning from his hairline to his crown, and was heading towards a class 5. After establishing his medical history and understanding the progression of his hair loss, I diagnosed his condition as Androgenetic Alopecia (male pattern baldness), ruling out any other possible dermatological or medical conditions which can cause hair loss. His goal was to reconstruct his hairline, add density from the hairline to the crown and wanted to be able to keep his donor area very short. I needed to take in to consideration his age of 37, present degree of hair loss and possible further hair loss. We both agreed that it would be best to still keep some temple recession so it looks appropriate for him today but also looks good as he continues to age. I advised him that it would be best for his situation to have a FUE procedure since his goal was to be able to keep the back very short That said, I also advised him that it would have to be done over 2 procedures. I also explained that there was a possibility that he could lose more of his own hair. If this was to happen, the transplanted hair would be able to stand alone and still look natural, but he would possibly need another procedure to replace what he lost. During his 1st procedure we transplanted 2,092 FUE/ grafts. The breakdown was 1,063 single hair grafts, 906 double hair grafts and 123 triple hair grafts. All of the grafts in his 1st procedure were concentrated into the frontal 1/3 of his scalp. His 2nd procedure was completed one year later and we addressed the mid and crown area. We transplanted 2,079 FUE/grafts with his 2nd procedure. The breakdown was 968 single hair grafts, 897 double hair grafts and 214 3 hair grafts. The patient is extremely happy with his results and can style his hair exactly the way he wants to.
  17. This 58 year old gentleman was a class 4v, but really heading towards a class 5. He had a very small hair transplant procedure that consisted of a few hundred grafts over 25 years ago. After establishing his medical history and understanding the progression of his hair loss, I diagnosed his condition as Androgenetic Alopecia (male pattern baldness), ruling out any other possible dermatological or medical conditions which can cause hair loss. This patient’s objective was simple; he did not want to have a large procedure but he wanted to achieve a very conservative hairline and look younger. That said, he also wanted a FUE procedure. As an executive in a business environment, he felt that his hair loss was starting to impact other’s perceptions of him and he was in an industry where perceptions were important. His hair was making him appear older than he actually was. His feelings were understandable and his goal achievable. That said, I explained that there was a possibility that he could lose more of his own hair. If this was to happen the transplanted hair would be able to stand alone and still look natural, but he would need another procedure to build it back up. To plan the surgery we need to take his age, present degree of hair loss and possible further hair loss into consideration. We agreed that it would be best to keep some temple recession so that his result would look good for him now, at 58, but also look good as he continues to age. We had planned to utilize 1,500 FUE grafts, arranging them into the frontal 1/3 but we actually ended up doing over 1,700 grafts. We transplanted a total of 1,749 grafts. The break down was as follows: 793 single hair, 689 two hair grafts and 267 three hair grafts. I used a significant amount of single hair follicular units on his part side/right side. The hair on this side needs to work hard and will shingle over the middle and left side of the scalp. This action will allow him to comb/style his hair without anyone detecting that he has had anything done. These are his results 10 months after his procedure. I think his results go a long way in showing the hair loss community that you can get great results with a small number of grafts when the procedure is done correctly. Remember that his goal was to look younger; this goal was definitely achieved. I understand that when he tilts his head all the way back, he looks very thin in the crown, but people do not walk around holding that position. You have to keep in mind that this was an FUE case, yet the yield this patient achieved was as good as if it had been a FUT procedure. Needless to say, the patient is extremely happy with his results and is considering another procedure to add some density.
  18. NoTakeBacks, I'll have to agree with you on the hairline result for the patient; he was very pleased with the natural look. Also, regarding Minoxidil - the patient is only on Propecia.
  19. This 30 year old was a class 3v. After establishing his medical history and understanding the progression of his hair loss, I diagnosed his condition as Androgenetic Alopecia (male pattern baldness), ruling out any other possible dermatological or medical conditions which can cause hair loss. This patient objective was to rebuild his hairline and add as much density as possible to the frontal ? of scalp while adding some density to the crown. I explained to him that we need to take his age, present degree of hair loss and possible further hair loss into consideration when planning the surgery. I indicated that it would be best to keep some temple recession so that it will look good for him at 30 and also look good for him as he ages. I agreed to do about 1,000 grafts to the frontal area of the crown, but did not want to get too aggressive due to the fact he could lose more hair. I also explained that there was a possibility that he could still lose more of his own hair in the future. If this was to happen the transplanted hair would be able to stand alone and still look natural, but he would need another procedure to bring it back to the way it looks now. He is presently on Propecia, to hopefully help stabilize further hair loss. If Propecia stabilizes his hair loss I agreed to do another procedure to his crown in a few years. He had a total of 4,387 grafts. The break down was as follows: 2,147 single hair, 2,084 two hair grafts and 156 three hair grafts. I used a significant amount of single hair follicular units which allowed me to create a very natural hairline. This action will allow him to comb his hair without anyone detecting that he has had anything done. These are his results 1 year post-op. The patient is extremely happy with his results.
  20. This 31 year old was a class 4. After establishing his medical history and understanding the progression of his hair loss, I diagnosed his condition as Androgenetic Alopecia (male pattern baldness), ruling out any other possible dermatological or medical conditions which can cause hair loss. This patient’s objective was to rebuild his hairline and add as much density as possible to the frontal ? of the scalp. I explained to him that we need to take his age, present degree of hair loss and possible future hair loss into consideration when planning the surgery; it would be best to still keep some temple recession that will look good for him at 31 and will also look good as he ages. Additionally, I explained that there was a possibility that he could lose more of his own hair. If that was to happen, the transplanted hair would be able to stand alone and still look natural, but he would need another procedure to bring it back to the way it looks now. He had a total of 3,419 grafts. The break down was as follows: 1,452 single hair, 1,742 two hair grafts and 225 3 hair grafts. I used a significant amount of single hair follicular units which allowed me to create a very natural hairline. This action will allow him to comb his hair without anyone detecting that he has had anything done. These are his results 10 months post-op. Patient is extremely happy with his results.
  21. PupDaddy thank you for the kind words. I do the extraction, make all the surgical sites and place the grafts for all my patients. The punch size I used for this patient was a .7mm punch.
  22. This 37 year old was a class 2. After establishing his medical history and understanding the progression of his hair loss, I diagnosed his condition as Androgenetic Alopecia (male pattern baldness), ruling out any other possible dermatological or medical conditions which can cause hair loss. This patient still had a lot of hair, but was uncomfortable with the present state of his hairline, which was starting to recede and thin in the frontal 1/3 of his scalp. He wanted to be proactive and augment the hairline to add some density just in case he continued to thin. I explained to him that we need to take his age, present degree of hair loss and possible further hair loss into consideration. Given those factors, it would be best to keep some temple recession so that he will look good at 37 and also look good as he ages. I explained that there was a possibility that he could lose more of his own hair. If that was to happen, the transplanted hair would be able to stand alone and still look natural, but he would need another procedure to bring it back to the way it looks now. He had a total of 2,164 grafts. The break down was as follows: 1,048 single hair, 998 two hair grafts and 118 three hair grafts. I used a significant amount of single hair follicular units which allowed me to create a very natural hairline. This action will allow him to comb his hair without anyone detecting that he has had anything done. These are his results 15 months post-op. This patient is extremely happy with his results.
  23. This 25 year old was a class 3 going into a class 4. After establishing his medical history and understanding the progression of his hair loss, I diagnosed his condition as Androgenetic Alopecia (male pattern baldness), ruling out any other possible dermatological or medical conditions which can cause hair loss. I explained to him that we need to take his age, present degree of hair loss and possible further hair loss into consideration when creating a surgical plan. I explained that it would be best to create a conservative hairline that will look good for him at 25 and also look good as he ages. It was also pointed out that with one procedure I would be able to add more coverage through the frontal 1/3 to ? of his scalp. I also explained that there was a possibility that he could lose more of his own hair. If that was to happen, the transplanted hair would be able to stand alone and still look natural, but he would need another procedure to bring it back to the way it looks now. I was able to harvest 3,688 grafts. The break down was as follows: 1,419 single hair grafts, 2,068 two hair grafts and 201 3 hair grafts. I used a significant amount of single hair follicular units which allowed me to create a very natural hairline. This action will allow him to comb his hair without anyone detecting that he has had anything done. These are his results 1 year post-op. The patient is extremely happy with his results.
