  1. Sorry BK, I didn't know you posted a question addressed to me till now. It looks like Garageland addressed your concerns regarding scabs that came out that look like the follicles still attached. You don't have anything to worry about regarding what's happening post operatively. It's all part of the normal healing process. Heal and grow well.
  2. Great result Nick! We love seeing early growth on patients.
  3. Busy with life is basically the main reason why he didn't fill-in more as his hair loss progressed. He was fine cutting his hair really short on top. He was also fortunate to have little contrast between his skin and hair color, which allowed him to shave down to a lower guard. However, once he decided he wanted to grow this hair out for more styling options, he decided to do something about it. Splitting hairs, That's correct, he was not on Fin in the early years. Thank you all for your comments.
  4. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!! We apologize for the lack in photo quality, however, this patient is local to SMG so we'll ask him to stop by in another month to take better quality photos and videos. He's so thrilled with the early growth that he really wanted his photos used to show off his hair.
  5. The difference should be night and day from 4 months to 8 months. However, you still don't have your full result at 8 months. You need to give it till 14 months after to get final result in the crown. (is that what you thought I'd say?)
  6. Original 8 Mos Result thread is here: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/167396-dr-paul-shapiro-8mos-result-%96strip-2798gr-5698-hairs-2.html ****WE NOW HAVE A HD VIDEO OF HIS RESULT: http://www.youtube.com/my_videos_annotate?video_referrer=watch&v=LKwZgEXH4Vo
  7. Perhaps when you have your full result from this 2nd procedure you'll change your mind from a "Triple" to a "Homerun". Your donor density is definitely above average.....good for you!
  8. Shapiro Medical is happy to present a year progress update. Here is the link to his 6 months result on this site: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/169452-dr-paul-shapiro-6-months-strip-result-4365-grafts-8654-hairs.html
  9. Nope, he doesn't have CVG. He is a twin and we did fue on both of them at different times but it's been difficult to get any photos from them. They both reported that they were happy with their results but just this twin sent the one result pic. Gotta say both were super sweet young patients with big smiles on their faces at all times. Due to their young age, the work we did was conservative because their hair loss will progress to a NW 5 or possibily to a 6.
  10. For what it's worth, I appreciate your posts and progress reports. Majority of patients don't have the time or the inclination to participate on the forums. You are right, most guys vanish. You can't blame them since they're not getting paid so why should they stick around. The pics you post are miles better than the pics we get for evaluation. Looking forward to your 4 month's update.
  11. IT'S DIFFICULT TO GET PATIENTS TO SEND DECENT PHOTOS OR HAVE THEM COME TO THE CLINIC TO GET PHOTOS TAKEN . WE APPRECIATE THE FOLLOWING PATIENTS WHO HAVE SENT PHOTOS OR ALLOWED US TO TAKE PHOTOS OF THEIR FUE RESULTS. WE'LL ADD PHOTOS AS MORE RESULTS COME IN. THE FIRST PHOTO OF EACH NEW PATIENT HAS THEIR GRAFT/HAIR COUNT.
  12. I'd recommend getting long hair loss prevention meds first to see if they work. Your current hair loss is minimal and the meds could retain status quo and possibly regrow some of the lost hairs. I disagree that the meds don't do any good to the hair line. I've seen it work on many patients.
  13. An fue patient can experience shockloss at various stages not just right after surgery. I've known patients to experience donor schock at 6-7 months after surgery. It's another 3 months after the shock loss that they regrow. They will eventually grow back. I'm assuming that you didn't lose your donor hairs right away.
  14. As long as it's a sensible diet of healthy meals, you should be able to diet anytime. Crash diet would be a no, no. As Dr. Charles states, you should be exercising now.
  15. From what I understand Dr. Rahal mainly does the FUE via SAFE dull punch. It's worthwhile to speak to his consultant to get all the info on Dr. Rahal's hair restoration surgeries.
  16. I apologize if that's the case. I don't recall changing the price on anyone if you were quoted certain price you should have gotten the original price. Can you email me so that we set things right? Did you have just the scar done? Did you have the treatment the 14th of October? If you had it done on the 14th, it's too soon to deem the treatment a massive failure. You have another treatment 6 weeks after the initial treatment. The scars are much tougher to do than non scar tissue. It can take just as long as a the whole top of the head. Arrie just had the frontal 1/3rd done and his was in conjunction with a scar revision.
  17. Sounds like Dr. Barusco can be added to the list as well as Dr. Cooley and Dr. Rahal. I heard several other clinics but I can't recall right now. Pandora, You may want to check with the Farjo's in Manchester if they started using it.
  18. I visited his clinic last year and viewed few results and a strip procedure in progress. Top notch clinic! Dr. Haber has contributed greatly to the overall betterment of the hair restoration industry. He and his team seem to take very good care of their patients.
  19. I dont' know of any patients who don't shed their transplanted hairs. When it sheds will VARY, but eventually all transplanted hairs will shed. 3400 bht is a significant amount - do you have pics to share?
  20. Dr. Carmen and his team do nice work. Now the difficult part of waiting for the final result. Try to forget that you had a ht for the first 6 months. Time will go by faster if you do. Congrafts on your surgery!
  21. This is a really nice transformation - subtle yet you know the patient is appreciating the added density. I'm sure it allows him to style his hair much faster now. He also did not have to go through the ugly duckling stage enduring the shaved recipient area. I know a lot of patients cannot go through the shaved look due to their work.
