  1. I have an extremely dry scalp. I currently shave my head, but when I had hair I would have a lot of scalp residue build up. I was on a medication called dermasmooth FS Oil that I would leave on at night, and use a medicated shampoo called selenium sulfide, which helped control it. I am concerned that this might create problems with successful results should I move forward with a HT. Anyone have experience with this?
  2. One of the doctors I have spoken to in regards to an FUE transplant utilizes his staff to trim the harvested grafts, AND implant the grafts. The Dr designs the hairline and makes all recipient sites. I know that it is common to have the staff trim the grafts, but is it acceptable/normal not to have the Dr actually implant the grafts?
  3. I am considering an FUE transplant with Dr Robert Haber in Ohio. Anyone in the forum have good/bad experiences with him?
  4. Just wondering if you've seen any improvement?
  5. I'm new to the forum and would appreciate any experiences you have had with FUE. I am considering consulting with DR Haber about this form of HT. I'm extremely concerned about scars in the donor area, and it appears that this process helps reduce scarring. That being said, I believe I would be about a 5 on the Norwood scale. Are there any problems with an FUE procedure given my level of baldness?? Any insight is much appreciated...
  6. I look forward to seeing your results. I think I'm going to schedule a consult with Dr Haber and see if I can build up the courage to go through with it. One more question, most of the info I see about the recovery from FUE says that you're able to "go back to work within a day or two", and pretty much recovered within 7 days. How accurate is this? Do you have any lingering recovery issues at all?
  7. Hi Everyone. I'm new to the forum, doing some research as I'm considering going through with a HT. My initial research has me interested in an FUE, as I'm concerned about scarring from donor area. I have shaved my head for the past 3 years, and like having this as an option, as I prefer the bald look to the balding look. Dr Haber seems to be highly regarded on this site, but don't see all that much about him (good or bad) outside of this site. He also utilizes the ARTAS process. I was wondering if anyone has recent experience with DR Haber, as well as any insight that could be offered on the FUE process, and specifically any ARTAS experiences??
  8. Congrats. I am also considering going to Dr Haber, from the comments that I have read on this site he has a very good reputation. It appears that you had the FUE procedure? Did Dr Haber use the machine to implant the follicles from the donor area, or did he do this manually? Over all, how many grafts did you have done, and how long did the procedure take?
