  1. Gordon going to Armani is all over the web... Why on earth does he charge so much??? What makes him so good to charge 45K on surgery yet have so many bad results??? Gordon probably didn't get more than 3k grafts and he has good thick hair to begin with.
  2. I'm a coordinator for a plastic surgeon that is unrelated to hair. I recently spoke with a man about surgery and he brought up that he had a hair transplant. I asked by who and he told me Dr. Armani. I had to ask him how he liked his results (without telling him the reviews on him from this forum). He told me Dr. Armani gave him awful yield and was very unhappy with everything. Also I've spoken with two different men that had surgery with Hasson & Wong. Both were 100% happy with everything from them. That being said it looks like the trend continues on his reviews... That man also doesn't know a thing about forums and Dr. Armani wanted him to go back and fix him, but I told him to go on this forum first. Hopefully he found very useful information!
  3. Don't forget the crown takes longer to fill in then the hairline!
  4. Don't massage therapists usually have a lot of patience and are very relaxed??? I am always interested in seeing NW7 cases! Is there enough donor for another transplant and is he thinking of another? Thank doc and well done!
  5. So far it looks like very clean work to my eyes and I've been on this forum for over 4 years.
  6. What about switching to Dutasteride? There is a thread that says it's more potent than Finasteride. Is it worth a shot???
  7. If you watch "Little Miss Sunshine" there is a scene where Steve is by the water and the wing is blowing. His hairline was receding in that scene. I think he got a H/T to dense his hairline up.
  8. I recommend getting on Finasteride and order a concealer like DermMatch. The Finasteride is ideal for crown thinning and should stabilize your hair loss to a great extent. I'm almost 28 and have been using Finasteride for almost two years now. I don't have any crown loss but my hairline was starting to thin and Finasteride (I believe) has helped me keep my existing hair. The DermMatch I love using when I go out to strengthen the appearance of my hairline. For you it would be best to conceal your crown or maybe a little in your hairline to really strengthen it up. It only takes 30 seconds and will blend in perfectly with your hair. It says not to apply when your hair is wet but I like using it when my hair is slightly wet.
  9. I had an in person consultation with each of them. I thought Dr. Charles was more genuine and took more time talking to me. Dr. Epstein's photo album didn't impress me, including his coordinator's transplant that Dr. Epstein performed. The coordinator was pushy and had a transplant from Dr. E that looked like a Bosley example. Very sparse and pluggy looking. That said I didn't see any beard transplant photo's by Dr. Charles but saw many facial transplant photos from Dr. Epstein. I thought they all looked good. You should find out if Dr. Charles performs it as well. Then get a free consultation from each of them. That's my 2 cents.
  10. I too would love to see an update as we are similar cases and Dr. S is the main choice for me!
  11. Is it ok that I don't take finasteride for 7 days? I left it at home and I'm on vacation? I've been take it for 1 1/2 years. Thanks!
  12. Thanks Falc! Great site although I just got a PM from a mail order bride, lol!

This picture was taken about 5 years ago. I always knew how to style my hair, although wind is no friend to me. I still look the same but my temples are more recessed now. I cover it up perfectly with Dermmatch which is why I'm still waiting on a H/T.

  13. I never would of thought this watching "The Masters" or any other time, but it just took me by surprise when seeing it on his head all smeared below the hairline. Or maybe if I saw the tape again I was wrong. Ether way I thought I'd share.
  14. I personally like Dr. Ron and Paul Shapiro. Do a search on them for hairlines. Dr. Raymond Konior is my other favorite for hairlines.
  15. I'm looking forward to your results! I too have chosen Dr. Shapiro for fue in the near future. I feel that his skill and fue price is unmatched!
  16. I already know Tiger Woods is diffuse balding and I was watching "The Masters" yesterday. Once he took off his hat at the end of 18 holes he had no balding look but there was a black mark right below his hairline that looked like concealer running down his head. I wonder if this is what he used?
  17. I am the biggest fan of the Shapiro brother's and Dr. Konior for hairlines.
  18. I personally met with Dr. Charles and Dr. Epstein. I really felt more comfortable with Dr. Charles, who also gave me his personal number. Dr. Charles introduced me to a patient in the operating room where I saw the incision sites already made (no blood and very clean work), had a nice conversation with the patient (who came from over seas I believe) and got to see the grafts up close. It was very cool! Dr. Epstein however met with me for 5 minutes, then his patient coordinator Aaron tried to talk me into booking right then and there with a really powerful salesman pitch. Plus Aaron's transplant looked sparse and like something on a Bosley commercial I was thinking when he was talking to me.
  19. Oh I wasn't even thinking of that! Hopefully when I said travel discount it didn't mean the other surgeon in Lauderdale. I actually met with Dr. Ron Shapiro on his Miami vacation from Minnesota. I think a short trip to see the best is worth it!
  20. I've been using Nioxin System 5 shampoo and conditioner (scalp therapy) for about 3 years now. I usually use the conditioner about 3 times a week. I never had any signs of dandruff or dryness in the scalp.
