  1. Very tough to tell from those pics...how many grafts did you get?
  2. As everyone has already told you, 4k+ grafts looks like a good amount to give you decent coverage. You may need at least another session if you're looking for high density. do a search for a patient named londonlad--very similiar case. he just had his second session with H&W although many people would have been happy with the results he received from #1. I'd also consult with Rahal in Canada. Best of Luck!
  3. tmiranez has posted alot of hdc results over at HLH and they all look fantastic. ideally you should see patients in person, but from what i've seen the work looks very high quality.
  4. I had a consult with Bernstein and Feller and I ended up choosing the latter. I felt Bernstein was much too conservative with his approach. he also suggested I have my hairline minigrafts removed whereas Feller suggested just planting around them which made a lot more sense to me. Having seen Bernstein's work, I think he is a good doctor, and he is very ethical as the other posters suggested. but if you want a more aggressive session I'd look elsewhere, i.e., Feller, Alexander, H&W, Rahal, Shapiro, etc.
  5. My first doc charged by area, not graft. BIG mistake for me. I ended up having no idea how many grafts i got. turned out i got roughly 600 and paid $7k. a doc can tell you he's going to do your whole hairline, but if he only plants 600 grafts and spaces them far apart it's gonna look bad. i'm not saying this is what griffin does, but it's not the ideal pricing system, imo...
  6. I am guessing your first HT was a strip procedure?
  7. behappy, petesman, no one is telling you to stop using the lasercomb--if it works for you, great. but when you come onto a public forum to share your results, the burden of proof lies with you. it doesn't really matter what your intentions are, be they good or bad. when you say something works, we need to see proof. otherwise you are essentially endorsing a product that people could potentially waste good money on--yes, you have a responsibility, even as just an anonymous poster.
  8. These are the types of pics Dr. Feller should have on his website...with final resluts of course. Great work, and good growing!
  9. BeHappy, what good is a detailed account going to do us without photographic proof of your growth?
  10. forget griffin. most people with progressive hairloss need a megasession to achieve natural results and dense packing. that means 2k and upwards...also, i wouldn't trust a doc who charges by area. you want an exact graft count so you know what you paid for.
  11. Bill, i had that same "halo" effect in my crown and it was due to the area being shaved down beyond where the transplanted grafts went.
  12. i started using dermatch after ht#2 and i find that if i apply it when my head is damp (straight out of the shower) it kind of puts a thin coat on my entire scalp that looks really good. i do have a good amount of native hair though and it's grown out for the past 2 months.
  13. ng2bg, lol, i was wondering the same thing about the background flat screen. looks like stevo really "enjoyed" his stay at the hotel.
  14. Makes you wonder what Armani would do if he found someone to not be a suitable candidate.
  15. hey stevo, looks like typical excellent dr. feller work. congrats! how many grafts went into your crown?
  16. post some pics, you'll get more/better responses...
  17. agio, sorry man, just saw your immediate post-op pics. they look fine and as everyone has already stated, you're probably just a fast shedder. i wouldn't worry....
  18. agio, those are indeed some pretty wide spaces between grafts. were all 4k grafts used in your frontal area or did some go into your crown?
  19. Dr.Feller quoted me a price. It matched the pricing on his web site. That's exactly what I paid.
  20. I agree, Dr.Feller's website is unfortunately nowhere near as good a showcase as it can be. I met with Dr.Feller before seeing his web site though, and had seen his work in person as well as other patients on the forums. you are in the best hands with Dr.Feller....
  21. I would not risk lifting weights right now. some light aerobic exercise is fine. i waited a full month to start lifting and i'm just using light weights on the cable station, no free weights.
  22. For someone to be thinking at 4.5 months time that their ht is a failure is absurd. If your growth is just starting at 3-4 months, why would you expect to give final judgment? Also, that pinkness you have does not make for an attractive look which also will through off your appearance. Mine didn't fade completely till month 7 or 8, and the ht was still coming in at that time. TRust me John, you are not alone. Most of us have your growth at 5 months. Relax, you went to one of the top 5 ht docs in the world. There's nothing more you can do but relax and whatch that hair grow...you should be excited! MRJB, Very funny and true!
  23. John, If you're that worried you really should go see the doc. But even if it was infected there's absolutely nothing you can do about it now, so you need to stop worrying so much. Also, your growth looks exactly where it should be right now. And remember, even at 8-9 months you'll still be seeing big changes in your hair. You need to give it 1 year before you see final results.
  24. unfortunately i didn't find this site or hlh till after my first ht. i now can only hope this site and my subsequent story about my bad ht makes Dr.joseph karamikian in new york lose lots of potential customers
