  1. thanks guys. NW5, where did you find the info from unhappy patients in Europe? I would really like to see this myself as this is quite a concern. I agree, the work I have seen seemed excellent but I would want his results to be consistent. Any info you could give me would be really appreciated. Thanks
  2. Hi again everyone after much thought and considering various doctors including Armani etc I am seriously thinking of making the leap and going to Dr Bisanga of the BHR Clinic, reasons being they seem to be very open with showing results and some of his FUE pics / vids seem very very good unlike Armani where it really is now kind of beyond a joke that they are showing nothing still, I mean how long until we really see some grown out FUE results, I am convinced there must be a reason for this now. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts / experience with Dr Bisanga at all. I see he is not yet a member of the coalition, is there a reason or is it just early days. Would be great if I could have some feedback on this guy. As always much appreciated.
  3. Hi Everyone First of all I just wanted to thank everyone for their replies on my recent Armani post, gave me a lot to think about. I am currently thinking about four different doctors for my work and to be honest am kind of chasing my tail and realise I need to make a decision soon so would again appreciate any info on the below. If anyone wants to know what my hairloss situation is in more detail you can check my recent post on this page titled Armani. So my four choices are 1. Armani (yes him again). I have still not totally ruled him out, I guess I am still slightly seduced by the amazing results he shows on his website and have to admit the dozen or so FUE results they sent me looked great, the artist side and his seemingly amazing skill at dense packing are still making me not totally rule him out, are the other doctors I list below really as skilled as him in design etc. I am worried though as try as I might I just can't seem to totally buy the whole mega sessions in one day thing, every single doctor I have spoken to has told me that it is impossible to do this without seriously damaging the yeald, now does Armani really have a technique or equipment that nobody else has? Surely if he did would he not patent it and market it? He certainly is not shy of the media and promoting himselfm he would be heralded as the greatest doctor of the HT industry if this was the case. so why all the secrecy? I also am worried about the lack of grown out results, agreed there are a few but I have tried contacting these people on their blogs and I get no reply. Also there seems to be a lot of blogs from these FUE sessions, some dating back months where there are a lot of pre and post surgery pics and this goes on for a couple of months and then nothing. surely if these people went to the trouble of starting blogs why are they not now showing us great results? On the other hand I wonder if there were so many unhappy surely we would have heard something? Sorry to go on and on but I guess I am leaning away from Armani and would definitely go to another doctor if I thought they were as great at design etc but I guess what's the point if the yeald is rubbish. 2. Dr Feller. seriously thinking about him and I know he is heavily promoted here and as much I really like this site and admire the work I worry that I am again falling for something sometimes as it seems to be a fact that the Coalition Doctors on here all contribute in a finacial way to the site. Not knocking this site in any way as it's great but I worry you know? Having said that I have found it hard to find one bad word about Feller on any forum. What surprised me and made me think twice about going with him at first was that when I looked at his site I was not overly impressed by the few patients that were shown, they all seems to be very high on the norwood scale and dealing with coverage more that thickening and as a result did not look so great (although not bad), in any way nowhere near as impressive as results I have seen from Armani. But then I saw other results from Feller on forums and videos etc and they looked really great, some of the results I have seen on forums by Feller on forums look far better than the ones he shows on the main page of his site, weird. I guess what I'm asking is I realise that Dr Feller is a real stand up guy but is his work up there with the absolute best? Appreciate any thoughts. 3. BHR Clinic Dr Bisanga. Can't seem to find too much on them which makes me think they are kind of new and I think that Dr Bisanga has worked for numerous clinics which worries me a bit. However the results I have seen on their site and what they have sent me seem great. Are they up there with the best of the best? 4. Dr Devroye. Same as 3 really. seem to be good but hard to find many results online. God I'm rambling again, any help guys would be as always really appreciated. I know I have to make a decision soon now but for the life of me can't seem to reach one and everytime I consider another doctor I always fall back to Armani, as in but he's supposed to be the best, design etc etc. have to say actually that I have not seen another doctor match the results I have seen from Armani for strip (which I know he no longer does)so the guy obviously is a talent. Have I just been seduced by the ARmani hype or is there something there? Thanks again and take care Graff

  5. Hi Again Thanks for all your replies, very much appreciated as always. To answer your question B-Spot, yes the work would be done by Dr Armani himself. I understand everyone's points on here, hence my caution but was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on my point that if Dr Armani's mega sessions were not getting good results surely there would be someting from some unhappy patients on one of the forums but as I said I can find nothing, if he has been doing that many of these sessions I just can't figure out why there are no complaints. Also just to clarify aside from the guy I saw in person I was shown 15 other photos of patients who had received FUE from him and I have to admit all of the results looked very impressive. Also going back to anoother of B- Spots questions, the reason I looked at Armani initially was because I was very impressed by his results, I have seen many photos of HT patients from various doctors / clinics and although lots of them have achieved what they wanted and have got growth etc I just didn't see any which matched Armanis for how dense and natural and just plain great they looked, even going up against other docs like Feller(who I have to admit also look great). thanks again guys.
  6. Hi all First of all I just wanted to say thanks again for this excellent site, it has proved to be a vital source of info. Wanted tot ask a pretty straight question really, I'm well aware of the opinions of many on this site regarding the ethics of Armanis approach expecially in younger patients but I really wanted to ask what your honest opinions are on teh quality of his work. See I'm seriously thinking about booking an FUE session with Armani for 3000-4000 grafts to fill in my frontal area. I have met with him and even saw in person with him an FUE patient of his who had a large number of grafts and the work looked excellent, the guys head was shaved doen and I'll be damned if I could see any scars or marks at all. They also showed me about 15 FUE results from 3 months throught to one year and they all looked great. I have almost decided to go with Armani but was wondering what everyone's opinions are on the QUALITY of his work and his skill. I am nearly 40 years old and only have loss in the fromt region not in the crown of further back so I would have thought that 3000-4000 would do it for me but I really wanted to double check on your thoughts on the quality of his work with FUE. The results I have seen looked great and although there is a lot of speculation on the lack of results from his mega sessions, in all my searching of the forums on the net I have yet to see one single unhappy client who did not achieve results, you would think there would be one. I understand that perhaps they are making people sign confidentiality forms or whatever but as you all know with the internet you can post and be totally anonymous so surely there would be something? Sorry to go on but I just want to make sure that if I go with Armani I'm not missing something and I am indeed going into the hands of one of the best out there. Thanks again all

  8. Hi Everyone Was wondering what everyone thinks about the amount of grafts on average a person has avialable for FUE. I have heard different figures thrown about and was wondering if you were to go on the side of caution how many would it be safe to allow for and not for it to show. I have been quoted that I would need approx 3000-3500 grafts for fue. It is very unlikely I would need many more after that as I am nearly 40 years old and still only have loss / thinning at the front. I know there is nothing to say that might not change in 10 years but I would imagine at the moment if I did need to touch up in the future the most I would need would be another 1500 or so. Would appreciate what you think in your experience is a conservative amount that most people would have to spare before getting that weird moth eaten look. My donor area by the way is very thick if that helps. Thanks

  10. Go for it Steve. I feel exactly the same way, I've yet to make my appointment but I've reached the decision to go for it, just trying to decide on which doctor to go with. I was having the same doubts along the lines of what if but when I put it against all the stress that my hairloss has caused me and how it still affects my life and general happiness I too feel I am making the right decision. I think the risks are far less these days if you go with a good doctor so all the best mate and I wish you nothing but the best results.
  11. Hiya Thanks very much for your replies and kind help. very much appreciated. I understand only too well how big a decision it is to choose the right doctor. One more question, aside from all the things we have heard about Armani has anyone actually seen pictures or a post from a patient that was unhappy with their treatment. same goes for Dr Feller, just wondering. I think I have seen one too many reports and pictures from Farjo to fully put my faith in them. granted they may have got better but in my opinion them learning their craft before it is perfected on unsuspecting patients who are now paying the price is unforgivable in my opinion. Bye for now and thanks again.
  12. Hi Everyone Have been visitong this site for sometime now but this is my first post and I would be really grateful if anyone could help me with a few questions I had. I am going to take the plunge very soon and have a transplant, I would say I was a norwood 3-4 although I only have loss at the front not in the crown at all and apart from thinning and loss at the front my hair is very thick. My problem is I just don't know where to turn as for what could be one of the biggest decisions of my life as in who to use for the work. I am currently looking at four options and was wondering if anyone could shed any light on these four. Oh by the way I live in the UK. 1. Alvi Armarni. Now depending on where you look this guy seems to have a great reputation on the surface and seems to approach his work in a very artistic way if you get iy doen by the man himself but I have heard a lot of questions about his ethics and his work with FUE. Now I had a consltancy with Armani himself in London this weekend and I have to say I was not overly impressed by the very short time I was given and his slightly cold manner, The whole hotel suite was full of guys in suits and marketing and just gave the air of being very very corporate, now obviously you don't want to go to a backstreet guy but it gave off an air of being very impersonal. Iasked Armani if he would do the procedure himself and he said if that is what I wanted he could but I would have to go to either Beverly Hills or Dubai. I was wondering if this guy has such a great record why he is not listed in the Coalition on this site. what exactly should I be weary of with this guy and is his work as good as it appears on his site and dvd? 2. Dr Feller. Hopefully having a consultaion with him soon. Have heard nothing but good things on him but was wondering what he was like with FUE and any other info anyone might have. Does he take as much care and attention as Armani in the design of the hairline. 3. Farjo in the UK. Again I have a consultaion with them in Dec but to be honest I am put off by a few negative reports I have heard of people having to go to the States to get repair work done after visiting here. I see they are now in the Coalition but what does that mean? Would it be safe to say they are not in the same league as Feller and Armani? 4. This is a curve ball. This woman was recommeneded to me by a hair expert in Harley Street. Apart from her own website I can find nothing of her on the web. SHe is based in Paris. I have a consultation with her in Dec in London. Her name is Dr Patricia Cahuzac, her web site is http://www.cahuzac.info/uk01.htm. Now when I mentioned to the Doctor in Harley Street that I could find no info on her he said most of the companies that are all over the internet are just all about marketing and sales as opposed to people like Patricia Cahuzac who just get on with what they do. He said he has had many patients get great results from her but he was hesitant about Farjo. He had never even heard of Armani. Sorry this is so long but I guess if I cant ask here where can I? It seems that everyone involved in the hair loss business just sings their own praise but a lot seems to be cashing in on peoples vulnerability and unhappiness and there does not seem to be a definitive answer to any of it. SO if anyone would really be kind enough to answer any of the points I raised I can't tell you how grateful I would be. All the best Greg
